Always enjoy my visit to York Eye Associates. Doctors George and Joan are the best. Very concerned with their patient’s eye care. Very down to earth. Staff is also knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend York Eye Associates!

Dr Joan and her staff were very pleasant, knowledgable and professional during my visit. I had been going to another local "chain" and the feel was different. The visit to York Eye Associates was personal and the employees were helpful in making me feel like I was a family member instead of another patient that without looking at the chart no one knew my name. I will recommend to others in the area.

Not having been back to Eye Associates for 7-8 years, I has pleased to to see that efficiency and professionalism have only gotten better. I just wish Dr George would talk a little s-l-o-w-e-r during the lens switching portion of the exam. Dr Joan gave me that portion of the exam last time, and she was easier to work with.

I have been trusting Dr. George Hayes with my eyes for many years. My wife has as well. We are treated professionally and cordially by him and his staff. If either of us have a problem, we know we can call and our problem will be addressed ASAP. I strongly recommend this practice for eye care at it's finest.

I had not been in for three years and was taken care of in a friendly, professional manner. I had asked Dr. George sever questions re different equipment and got all the answers in a quick, courteous manner. I get my new glasses in 7 to 10 days.

My vision has always hovered in the "Oh My Goodness!" range making going to the optometrist a dread-inspiring prospect. Dr.Hayes, and the entire staff of York Eye Associates, proved to be gracious, professional and knowledgeable while still being friendly, helpful and pleasant. After his many years of experience, Dr. Hayes' enthusiasm for the work at hand became immediately apparent. He looked at my script, and indicated "I love a challenge!" He meant it, and he proved it! What a pleasure to be able to deal with such competent and sincerely helpful people...thank you all.

I have been going to York Eye Associates since I was about 4 years old. At 27, I can still say that I have never felt the need to go anywhere else. George and Joan are a great team and no matter who you see, you are greeted by a friendly staff and provided with phenomenal professional services. They have the equipment and knowledge to answer all of your questions and prove time and time again that they are the top dogs in our area. They have handled my entire family's difficulties with vision, no matter how complex, and continuously find solutions for us that no other optometrist in the county can match. When it comes to vision, the decision is clear. York Eye Associates is the number one choice.

Wonderful Experience. My eye was very irritated and they were able to see me next day, even though I was a new patient. My wait was minimal and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Dr. Joan was equally friendly helpful and after only 1 day of treatment my eye is much better.

I woke up with what I thought was something in my right eye. Dr. Hayes (Mrs.) was able to see me at 3:20pm. My wait was a couple minutes after checking in. After the initial eye test I was seen by Dr. Hayes. She was able to determine that I had a duct blockage and gave me a prescription. I had already purchased the Bruder Eye Hydrating Mask, so I was ready to work on unblocking the duct. With the instructions provided I was able to get relief within 24 hours.

Dr George ALWAYS treats me with such respect and care. He's not only an exceptional optometrist, but he's also a very nice man. He takes good care of my eyes. That's for sure, but he also always asks about how my conditions of peripheral neuropathy and blood cancer are progressing. In other words, Dr. George REALLY CARES a lot about his patients.

Great appointment. On-time. Staff was very nice. Young lady that did my pre care (puff test, etc) did not introduce herself to me though. She along with Carol had everything set up and ready for Dr. George. Dr. George is very thorough, informative. He truly cares about my eye health especially due to my strong family history of glaucoma. He understands the underlying fear I have in regard to this disease so I appreciate his recommendations. I trust him.

My first experience. I needed an emergency visit to determine what had gotten into my eye while working outside. Several doctors could see me in a month. At best late next week. Dr. Hayes was able to see me within two hours which was fantastic. He is extremely knowledgeable and was able to determine what happened to my eye immediately. A sound plan was put in place to resolve my problem. I will be back in the future for all of my eye care needs.

Well it is always great to see Joan and "catch up". That is what makes coming there fun for me. But I also want to comment on Carol. She is the greatest. I am also glad to see her when I come. Familiar faces, other than the doctors', is a plus. Carol always treats me in a way that makes me feel important. She knows her stuff and that makes me feel like any of my needs will be handled correctly. That is a big deal to me these days. So many employees out in the work place really don't care anymore. Glad that is not the case at your office.

I believe you have a great team of individuals working together as a team for a unified purpose, to be thorough and respectful. My experience is that you meet that criteria. As for greeting, sometimes it's a challenge to look up and greet individuals as they enter as tasks are being taken care of during that moment; however, this component is invaluable and is one element that must always be constantly evaluated and adjusted. That said, I am happy to say upon my arrival, I greeted your staff and they were kind and directed me to the seating area before being called.

The 2 receptionists were more interested in talking to each other than me. I was not sure when she was done checking me in or if I needed to pay anything before I asked. The older woman acted more like a teenager and was very unprofessional. They were complaining/concerned about when the office updated to the cloud and learning the new system. The other woman that took me back was complaining about being sick and coughing while asking me questions and cleaning everything with dirty hands. I was very dissatisfied with my visit. If I did not like Dr George so much, I would not return to the office.

With a busy schedule they were able to fit me in right away. I had pink eye and Dr Joan took such good care of me. I love that they prefer to be on a first name basis, the office really feels like home which makes for a comfortable experience. Dr Joan also took care of my wife a few years back letting her know about clinical trials at Johns Hopkins University, every doctor has a degree and a doctorate but few follow their field with such vigilance that I know I am getting the most up to date information. Love you guys keep upt eh great work, I need it.

I have to Thank Dr. Joan Hayes again for treating me and having me go and get the testing I needed to get done. Without her doing this I would have never known that I was a Type 2 Diabetic with Insulin. I ended up in the hospital and I made sure I let the office know and also Thanked Dr. Hayes over the phone but I think that everyone would read this and again thank you for your dedication and understanding.

When sitting down with Carolyn, it would be good to have options explained in a way that felt a little less like a sales job. Perhaps phrasing things as, "OK, here's your least expensive option. Advantages are..., disadvantages are..." Then going up the line to the Cadillac option, with advantages and disadvantages of each. What information is given by dilated exam that can't be obtained otherwise? What advantages to coated lenses give? What DISadvantages or problems? I emerged from the visit with $175 bill, new lenses but no frames, and I HAVE insurance. It seemed like a lot. That said, service was great, and care first rate. I would just like to feel a bit more knowledgeable about and in control of the process. Thanks for allowing the feedback.
