I started seeing Dr Rubin and the staff at Circle Care Center and Pharmacy for a year now. I can say by far it is the best doctor and office related experience of my life. The staff are all incredibly helpful and prompt. I don’t know how they do it. Each visit feels personalized and thoughtful. They make me feel heard and informed. I think this is what going to the doctor should feel like- I don’t know how they do it and I try not to take it for granted.

Hi, Dr Rubin is the first doctor I’ve had who feels like a friend. It’s as if he is a country doctor in the 21st-century. There very polite always and very knowledgeable about lgbt also when I transitioned from NYC to this clinic they made me feel welcome and picked right up with my meds where I left off from the other clinic and what I like the most right off the back the staff asked what pronouns do i prefer he him his her she not to many clinics ask this and it really left an good impression on me that I’m in the right place and good hands with staff that respects my life style . It’s never a long wait and it’s always clean in this facility and to make it even more convenient they have a pharmacy right in the same build that’s apart of there clinic .

Dr. Rubin has diagnosed symptoms that made my life unlivable for 6+ years. I have seen many different specialists and was only misdiagnosed. Great people, great staff, the only problem I have is getting an appointment with a provider to protect my self and other from HIV, I need to be under prep, but take me month to have one provider, now is talking me more than 20 days after my blood test to have a second appointment so the Dr. can prescribe my prep, in the meanwhile I’m still exposed to the HIV, when he knows I have a sexual life very active.

The place is emaculate and the staff is always friendly and comforting. Every employe: receptionists, nurses, billing department, etc. is always warm, friendly, attentive and respectful. My Doctor of 30 years, Dr. David Rubin, is the absolutely most brilliant and caring person I know. He is the most discerning doctor above all doctors with his superior ability to put together the pieces of a medical puzzle, connect the dots and diagnose and treat like no other. He's the reason I'm still alive. I always leave Circle Care Center feeling relieved, hopeful and above all, really cared for.

Doctor does not know the patient, does not follow up with patient after certain test results (blood). Doctor seems to forget previous medical conditions of patient. Last visit, the doctor did not even show up and had patient sit in examination room for 50 minutes.

Circle Care offers the very best in quality patient care. I've been being treated here for a few years now — and every single staff member I've encountered is highly competent, friendly and very welcoming. Wait time is generally under 5 minutes, and appointment time with doctor is generous and attests to the doctor's dedication to each of his patients. My extraordinary doctor and literally my life saver is Dr David Rubin, in whose care I've been for just about 30 years, since he practiced medicine here in Queens. When I was first diagnosed back in 1992, I had 16 T cells (which quickly depleted to 0) and a myriad of serious opportunistic infections . Then with 0 T- cells and 0 CD4's, seriously ill and wasting away, I was clearly end stage and on my death bed. I survived those years with virtually no immune system and no HAART/anti retrovirals options . I survived, and Dr Rubin with his gifted ability to discern, and diagnose with utmost precision, his kind and caring nature, trong willingness to listening, and remarkable treatment planning expertise — Dr. Rubin is the reason why I am still alive and active. He continues to be my doctor and get me through my rough challenges with his keen and peerless ability to discern, diagnose, design treatment (and preventive) plans, his kindness and caring and all that makes him Dr. Extraordinaire. Dr. Rubin and his staff are incredible to work with and take my health and safety seriously. I credit him with helping to save my life last year when I was previously misdiagnosed by a different doctor/hospital and Dr. Rubin saw that there was something far worse going on than had previously been speculated. If it weren’t for him, I don’t know if I would be here today as it was a timely issue that had to do with fluid on my brain. Since then, he has been seeing me on a routine basis and keeping up with my bloodwork. Whether it be in person or over the phone, you’ll always have a smile to greet you and someone who cares about your medical needs. I highly recommend this office.

I have been a patient of Dr Rubin for 20 years. He was the best ID specialist in NY. Now he is an hour away when using Metro-north. I have followed him from Cornell in Manhattan up to Connecticut for all my annual checkups. Dr Rubin saved me from AIDS when my friends were dying. After the pill combos changed everything, Dr Rubin still sees me annually for my ID follow up and primary care.. I wrote this review because gay,straight all people should know of Circle Care Center. It has to be one of the best medical practices in Connecticut. I am impressed by the staff that I've met and only have good things to say about this practice that Dr Rubin joined. not just about my Doctor but also about Circle Care. Hello Alanna, We are so sorry that our patient communication software, Solution Reach, uses your deadname. We have to use a patient's legal name on their account for insurance purposes. Legal names can be changed and updated with insurance to reflect your true gender and identity. Our partner agency, Triangle Community Center is happy to assist our patients with this process. Solution Reach automatically uses the legal name on each patient's account, but we are working with them to try to correct that issue on the back end. Please know that finding a solution to this is important to all of us at Circle Care Center as well!

Friendly knowledgeable staff. There is a great deal of valuable literature in the waiting room. I realize that most of it is provided by pharmaceutical companies. What is conspicuously missing is ANY! Information on U=U. This is a huge disservice to EVERYONE. I have mentioned this to Dr. Dave on several of my visits. I realize there is no literature from DPH on U=U. NY state is doing a good job of publicizing U=U. I sincerely hope this aggreious situation will be addressed and corrected in the very near future!

In the LGBTQ community it is not always possible to find a a medical community that offers resources and services that actually help and not hinder the patients needs and wants! I have just recently come out as transgender after 40 years of hiding. I was very anxious about going to see someone about it. From my first phone call to circle care I knew I was going to the right place. The staff are all super friendly and helpful. They have in-house counciling too, so the doctor and councilor are always on the same page. I recommend anyone coming out as trans to go here. They know what they are doing!

Great facility in every aspect of wellness except one, that being mental health. Therapy is wonderful, but it can only do so much and the fact that this office doesn't prescribe mental health medications is sad. Mental health is not only important for the LGBT community but its also important to those suffering with HIV/AIDS and well just about anyone else.

The care I receive here is unprecedented. I travel from New York to see Trish Garton. And when the practice split last year, my only question when I called is "where is Trish going"? Also, the desk staff and pharmacy are friendly and always helpful. When I run out of a prescription, they make sure I have it right away.

I'm having pain in my shoulder and thought I should go to physical therapy. My doctor, Trish Garton, recommended that I see the chiropractor, Tom French. She said the pain is probably nerve related. Dr. French has performed two adjustments on my back and I'm feeling much better. Thanks Trish and Tom.

My first visit [annual physical] with Dr. Rubin went very well. I was completely satisfied on all levels as a patient. I would not hesitate to recommend him as a physician. However scheduling a reasonable appointment date, in the past, has proven to be frustrating and difficult. For that reason alone I would hesitate to recommend the service.

If you are LGBTQ and need medical care, this is the place. It is an island of inclusion and friendliness in a very LGBTQ unfriendly county. My former physician discriminated against me (whole other story) and my insurance provider recommended Circle, and have been seeing Dr. Rubin since then. I actually look forward to my visits and everyone in the office from the receptionists to the nurses and the doctors are very warm and welcoming.

I followed my doctor when he joined Circle Care. And while he still gives me the same excellent standard of care, you have a lot of administrative kinks to work out. It took 3-4 weeks to get vetted and set my initial appointment. Then, when I arrived for that appointment, you had no record of it. At that appointment, the doctor requested some tests which were not correctly forwarded to the lab - the typical and most important (to me) tests were omitted. He made it right by doing the blood work at the follow-up, but you absolutely have to improve communication before I am fully confident to recommend your practice.
