Dr. Thorton quickly got me in when I had a case of conjunctivitis a few years back and generally can schedule me for an eye exam within a reasonable time period. The practice has the latest equipment, enabling a thorough eye exam. They have greatly improved the upfront explanation of charges and what might be covered by any insurance prior to performing the exam.

Everyone in the office is extremely helpful and Dr. Simank goes above and beyond with his patients! He personally follows up if there have been any messages left for him. He works extremely hard to find the best solution for challenging vision issues. He found a way to greatly improve my vision which previous doctors had not been able to do.

Dr. Simank spent a great deal of time to fit me with the right prescription, including scheduling a follow up in 2 weeks to make sure everything is on track with my lenses. Everything was fine until I went to pick out glasses. I have vsp, and there was an extra discount for Nike and Lacoste. This place didn't carry these brands for women. That by itself is okay. What I REALLY didn't like was how pushy the woman was who was setting up the glasses order. I feel like she wasn't very clear when I asked if I absolutely NEEDED an upgrade. She made it seem like I did , and I felt pressured to get it. Later I researched the upgrades and found out that I didn't need all of that extra stuff. I could have easily bought perfectly good lenses for 150 dollars less. Most places go through each upgrade, explain what it does and I say whether I want that specific upgrade or not. This woman didn't do any of that. She had already picked everything out and rushed the process. Now I regret buying my glasses from there.

I like the service from all of the personnel I have encountered at WVA. Visit was fine. Dr. Thornton is very good. I am however not completely satisfied with my new prescription. The distance correction for my progressive lenses is not as sharp as my previous glasses and not better than my uncorrected distance vision.

I am a long term client of Westheimer Vision. Even though I moved from West Houston to Pearland area, I make the drive because of the quality of care. The care does not just include testing and prescribing. Its consultative. This includes various phases associated with my aging and levels of activity, especially sports. My history includes contact lenses and the various advances in technology, progressive lens glasses, single vision glasses for sports, historical tracking of my eye health, including just the beginnings of cataract development. I trust WVA and as long as optometry and eyewear are an important part of my vision care, I will be with them.

The folks at Westheimer vision are professional, personable and very thorough. They offer very clear explanations and options to fit the patient's needs and desires. I've been a patient here since 1988 and have always been extremely satisfied. They have embraced recent changes in the science ad well as technology to make all aspects of my relationship with them more productive and convenient. Their fees, while not rock bottom, are very reasonable for the quality and attention to detail they offer. I highly recommend them!

I have been going to Westheimer Vision for close to 17 years, The only doctor that I have allowed to treat me is Dr. Christopher Simank. He is wonderful. He takes his time and explain what is being done to improve your eye health. I refereed one of my co-workers to Dr. Simank and she has now been seeing him for several years as well. I also have very favorable relationship with the optician department. I have seen see several over the years. My most recent optician was Cindy Akbar. She is very personable and professional. I hope the practice last for many years to come and I highly recommend the eye care professionals there.

I have gone to Dr. Simank at Westheimer Vision for the last 20 years, and would not trust my or my families vision to anyone else! His exams are always thorough (he found a hole in my retina that was in a very difficult location to see), he welcomes questions and is a doctor that will return your call himself. Considering my vision is awful, I imagine I will be seeing her for years to come. Everyone else on the staff seemed really sweet too. I did drop a pretty penny on my appointment, my contacts, & my glasses. But that's okay, it was worth it.

I found this office through the Infant-see program and it was a great experience. I have a set of 7 month old twins and everyone was so great and very nice. I would defiantly recommend this office to not only family and friends but others in need of an optometrists office as well.

His staff lacks customer focus and don't give me a very comfortable feeling that they know what they are doing. I thought maybe I was being too critical, but my wife, told me that she feels the same way. I've been a patient for many years and every visit things get worse.

If you want to keep your eyes healthy, WVA is the place to go. Years ago, my mother told me she received here the most thorough eye exam she had ever had. For me, that continues to be the case. Dr. Albert, Dr. Gerry and now Dr. Chris have both excellent training and personable manner. And the doctors at WVA know when a situation needs a specialist and are happy to refer when required.

Fantastic experience! My appointment was @ 11:15 on a Saturday and I barely had time to look at displayed frames before being called for my exam. Office/exam rooms were immaculate. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Simank was outstanding - very thorough exam and spent way more time than I expected explaining the results of my exam. I now have a new Optometrist. As much as I like coming to this practice for my examinations, I am unhappy about the consequential problem. My number one issue with Westheimer Vision Associates is the ordering of contact lenses. I DO NOT understand why there is so much confusion and problems in the communications, ordering, and delivery of my order. I am disappointed to say that this is not the first time that there has been a problem. Of course, Kacey is aware of the problem. I am sure that she is working on a solution.

The doctors really care about my vision, and the staff in the optical shop are so helpful and take the time to get your frames done right. Always a pleasure going to visit. My appointment went well. I just forgot to get sun shields to cover my eyes that had been dialated. I had to drive back I-10 to my house facing the sun to get my sun glasses before going back to work.

I've been coming to Westheimer Vision Associates since the late 80's. My optometrist retired a few years ago, and I was concerned about the transition, but my new optometrist is just as good as the last. She is very patient and I always feel like she genuinely cares about my vision and the comfort of my contact lenses. I've referred several people over the years and none of them have been disappointed. I can't recommend WVA enough.
