I have been going to Dr. Bertsch for years, and my visits with Dr. Bertsch are traditionally good visits. However, my last visit was exceptionally wonderful and quite refreshing! Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Bertsch remained jovial and service-oriented. One of the many things I appreciate about Dr. Bertsch, which didn't change during these trying times, is her ability to provide excellent customer service and attention. Melanie, who functions as the front office staff, was just as jovial, attentive, and accommodating. It was so much more than just about the eye exam or glasses, they (Dr. Bertsch and Melanie) made it a wonderful experience.

My appointment was on March 17th. As I write this today it is May 15th and I have yet to get my new prescription for myself and my daughter. It has now been 8 weeks. In that time I have called 7 times. Of the 7 times I called 5 times the person who I spoke with was very rude to me including my first call which I was hung up on. Only 2 times did I get someone who actually acted like they cared. I will say that Dr. Bertsch was very friendly during our visit but the ladies at the desk not soo much. Even on that day when I said my daughter and I would not be getting frames the attitude towards us changed and the lady almost seemed put out by us. I have never been contacted by anyone. On my 4th call I said how come nobody has called me and updated me I was told because they aren't in yet so there is nothing to tell you. I did not know getting new prescription lenses would be such an ordeal. I am not the only one who feels this way about the staff there. As the reviews online agree with what I am saying here. Again it is a shame because Dr. B is very friendly. So at this point I will most likely not be coming back here. I will definitely take my business elsewhere. This location was on our company email as a preferred user that takes our insurance. I will be letting my company (about 300 people) know not to waste their time and to definitely go elsewhere.

I enjoyed my visit. The receptionist and doctor were absolutely great! The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because of the older lady sitting at the front counter with the receptionist. Her customer service was unwelcoming and off-putting. This is the lady that took care of the purchase of my glasses and gave us our eye prescriptions. Other than interactions with her, it was a wonderful experience.

Dr. Bertsch is great; however, I feel that her office staff is unprofessional. The lady who did my initial eye tests looked at the photos of my eyes and made the following comments, "Hmmm...I wonder what that spot is" and "Wow, you're eyes are really red." Luckily, the spot on my eye is not new, so I new that it was normal. However, I imagine that this would make some other patients extremely nervous until Dr. Bertsch is able to look at it. In addition, they office staff was talking back in forth in an unprofessional manner while I was standing at the desk waiting to be helped. I've been going here for years because I like Dr. Bertsch, but came home and told my husband that we may need to make a change in the future depending on the staff.

A very friendly place. Loved the staff and Dr. Bertsch. Great selection of frames to pick from, it was easy to find exactly what I wanted, and no pressure. I was in and out very quickly. Paperwork was done online prior to visit, reminder notices were sent via email and by phone. They have it all together. My husband and I will return.

I was referred by family and had a great experience. I do not have health insurance and let that known when booking my appt. The lady was very nice and went over all of my financial options before my visit. I had a pretty good idea my out of pocket costs before my visit. Upon my visit my costs were gone over again and there were no surprise charges. Before any additional tests were done, they informed me it was not included in my quoted cost and informed me the extra amount it be. I will be returning!

While I was very happy with my initial visit with Dr. Bertsch, I have to say that the customer service (the folks up front, not Dr. Bertsch) has been very dissapointing at best. I requested that my new lens presription be used in a a frame that I supplied and paid for them immediately. I later discovered that I had been undercharged and called to notify the store of the error and paid the remainder over the phone, strike one. A week later I called to check on the status of my glasses and was told it would be a few mor days. A few hours later I received a text message that my glasses were in (I was now 2 hours away). I drove to get my glasses only to find that my prescription had been made into sunglasses instead of transition lenses, strike 2. A week later I got a text that my (corrected) lenses were in. I drove to the store to pick them up only to be told that they were not actually there. Still don't have them, strike 3!

Receptionist was very rude! Dr Bertsch is the nicest doctor that i have ever met! She is down ro earth and personable. I found her office online and expected average service because i needed new contacts, howere the service was like none Ive ever had. The contacts that I have been wearing for 15 years are no longer available. She contacted the manufacturer and selected a new type that closely resembled my discontinued model. I will be going back to Todays Vision for as long as I live in the Houston area.

I just had my first visit, and was very impressed! The facility was modern, spacious and clean. Dr. Bertsch was personable, knowledgeable and efficient. My appointment was at 12:30, I was seen right away and done by 1:00 for an eye exam and contact lense fitting, yet I never felt rushed. Plus, the imaging that they use instead of pupil dilation is amazing, with no drops required nor any jlight sensitivity afterward.

Dr. Bertsch is quick, but very thorough. My annual eye appointment is always the quickest doctors' appointment of the year. I wear contacts and was in and out in 18 minutes. My husband does not need vision correction and he was done in less time.

U really appreciated the time the Doctor took out to explain to me the test that was going to be done and what we should expect from it, s well as given my options which were covered by insurance or out of my pocket,so I was given the option to choose which way would benefit me better instead of in most visits to doctors it this and no other way. I will defitnatley be returning on my next visit for exam and highly recommends Today Vision Atascocita to all.

Going to the doctors in no fun experience. Going to the today's vision in atascocita was just about a hoot. I was smiling when I met the doctor and when I left the office. The first thing I noticed was how neat, clean and modern her office was. There were tables to sit out to do the paperwork or chairs to watch an informative dialogue on TV about the health of ones eyes. The doctor actually came out to introduce herself and take me back for my eye exam. I was really glad that they had a test instead of dilation. Dr. Bertsch knew what she was talking about my eyes. I have a lazy eye and she knew just what to do and told me in very simple terms that I could understand. When I took my four year old grandson for his first eye exam with me, she was kind, and very understanding with his hereditary eye disease. He was laughing with her like she was a family friend. I was afraid that he would give her trouble, but she knew just what to do to keep him focused and enjoying the exam. I was thrilled with the way she handled him. When we both needed eye glasses, her assistant was very friendly and helped me choose the right glasses for us. Then when there was a problem with the insurance, they called me the next day when the insurance company opened with the needed information. Yes, I sincerely would recommend this eye doctor to anyone needing a friendly informative optometrist. She's great!!!

I can not say enough good things about my experience at today's vision in atascocita. When I arrived slightly early there were other patients looking at glasses and the office manager took time to welcome me and said she would be with me soon. I had forgotten to do the paperwork on line and was given a chance to fill it out while I waited, which was not very long at all. The doctor came out and took me back and was quite cordial. My examination was done in a very professional manner and dr. Bertsch made sure I understood all about the condition of my eyes. She was extremely knowledgable, personable and had a great way of taking the time I needed. It had been quite a long time since I had seen my last doctor, but he did not have a genuine caring that I received from doctor Bertsch. I received additional help from her office manager who showed me the cutest glasses that fit my little face When the glasses came in I was notified immediately and received the same friendly atmosphere as I did the first day s visit. I intend to bring my entire family to see her in the very near future. My husband has already gone to dr bertsch and he really loved her knowledge of his severe eye condition. Thank you dr bertsch for all of your help. We will tell all of our friends that if they are looking for an experienced eye doctor, look no farther than Dr. bertsch. we are lucky to have her so close in our community.

Even though Dr. Bertsch is knowledgable and thorough, my family and I will not be returning. I thought she was understanding of my son's special needs (he has autism) but she is not. My husband had an appointment with her this morning and she freely speaks of my son - who is a patient of hers - to my husband not realizing that this man is my son's daddy and saying that she had a 7 year old autistic boy come into her office yesterday and he liked to push buttons and that he is on the same emotional level of her 3 year old son. As nicely as I can say this since this 7 year old is my son "who the hell gives her the right to talk about a child who is her patient and its degrading!! She knows very little of autism and apparently what she does know is extremely minimal. Needless to say I will be contacting the office as well.

I chose to go to Today's Vision because it is convenient to my house, which I recently moved to, and is also covered by my insurance. When I walked in, Dr. Bertsch went on and on about how terrible my vision insurance was. To be honest, I have never used this vision coverage before because it's new health insurance, and all of my previous health plans varied based on my insurance. I was taken aback by this because I thought it was flat out rude. We then proceeded to go to the back and Dr. Bertsch noticed I was wearing colored contacts. She then proceeded to criticize this decision and after my eye exam, Dr. Bertsch went on to tell me how bad my eyes were due to the colored contacts. I've been wearing colored contacts for 12 years, and I've never once felt ridiculed like I did by Dr. Bertsch. Granted, I am guilty of wearing contacts longer than I am supposed to, but I take them out every night and never have any eye problems. Dr. Bertsch led on like I was going to go blind if I continue wearing colored contacts. After the eye exam, I went to try on contacts and was told the contacts I used were no longer available and she only had one type of colored lens. While trying on the contacts, Dr. Bertsch CONTINUED to criticize me for wanting colored contacts!! I tried the one pair or colored contacts she did carry and did not like the fit at all. I then went on to agree to order clear contacts if this was the case. Once I was checking out, I had Dr. Bertsch double check the insurance she had on file for me. Turns out, she did not have my correct insurance, and the insurance I have is much better than what she expected. Once she realized this, she went on to tell me how good my insurance was and was explaining that she wasn't going to make any money off of me if I had the insurance she had previously mistaken. This then confirmed all of my feelings about this practice. I was getting treated like a dog based on what insurance Dr. Bertsch thought I had. I then went home and double checked the type of contacts I was currently using, then went and called the office to confirm they did not carry these lenses. The girl told me yes they in fact do carry these lenses. I told her to cancel the order Dr. Bertsch was going to place and order these instead. Apparently this particular lens will be discontinued at the end of the year. That's fine, when I get to that bridge I will cross it, but for now these contacts will get the job done. Flash forward one week, my contacts came in and I stop by the office to pick them up. I was going to try to give Dr. Bertsch the benefit of the doubt. As she is ringing up what I now owe for the contacts, since these were more expensive, I double checked with her the amount I had already paid towards contacts at my exam. She then gets flustered, and tells me what I had already paid and then mumbled that she didn't even charge me for the fitting (yes she did, I looked at my receipt as soon as I got home). I questioned the amount because the numbers weren't adding up to the total and she would not give any explanation to my concerns and told me "I don't have time for this, I have to go." In the end, I was getting charged the correct amount, but needed clarification on what my insurance was covering and what I had already paid. I would never recommend anyone to this practice.

One of my biggest complaints is not getting seen when the appointment time is set. I was extremely pleased when I walked in and was taken straight back to start my exam. I was referred to this practice by googling pediatric optometrists, but was disappointed to find that the equipment was all too large for my daughter. It was fine for adults, and Dr. Bertsch helped my little one adjust, but still, it was disappointing. Also, Dr. Bertsch spoke to me a lot about all sorts of things, but she did not speak a whole lot to my daughter, which irked me. I mean, my daughter was the patient, and she was the one getting glasses for the first time ever, so I really wish that she had paid more attention to her. I kept trying to direct Dr. Bertsch back to my daughter, hoping that she would give her some real instruction in what these machines were, and how they worked, and what to do with her glasses after she got them. I was told roughly when she could wear the glasses and when she couldn't, but SHE wasn't. I had to inform my daughter second-hand. That was disappointing, not having any instruction for my daughter from the doctor regarding the use and care of her brand new glasses. I have told her since when to wear them and how to treat them, but I think it would have been better coming from the doctor. And then, when it came time to pick out the frames, the assistant lied to my daughter, telling her that two different frames had "Hello Kitty" on them. Neither of them did really, but the assistant winked at me and seemed to think it was a good joke. This got my daughter all excited, and all other frames paled by comparison after that. However, my daughter caught that one obviously pictured a tiger, and refused to believe that it was a "Hello Kitty" frame. However, she fell for the lie about the first frame, despite the fact that the cat was green and had no bow. It is NOT Hello Kitty. I have told her that since. I don't think it's cool or funny to lie to children, just to sell a product. I think she could have chosen her own pair of glasses WITHOUT the character enticement, and the untruth has really bugged me. In the store, I didn't challenge it, not wanting to totally discredit this lady in front of my daughter, but I would like to say now that it was NOT APPRECIATED, and in the future, I will intervene to call out misleading information such as this. I mean, my little girl has to go to school in these, and here she'll be telling all her little classmates that she has Hello Kitty glasses, and then when the children look at them, they'll see that they are NOT Hello Kitty, and that opens my daughter up to ridicule. NOT COOL. So, in summary, the work was done just fine, but I did not appreciate the manner in which it was done.

Went in today for an exam. This is a relatively new Today's Vision shop and it is very nice inside. Everyone I have spoken to has been very nice. I went in for an exam and to discuss my changing eye needs. I really want to wear contacts, but have dry eyes and need reading glasses if I have contacts. If I go with glasses, I will need progressives. So, I came in early and they could see me right away. My exam was quick and thorough. Dr Bertsch is such a sweetheart. We chatted and she told me all of my options, the pros and the cons. We settled on giving contacts a try for a week. I got fitted, payed my co-pay and was on my way. What a breeze. I have to go back next week to get things checked out and decide if I want to go with the contacts or glasses. I'll update my review after that, but I have to say that so far, this is a great shop. I will send the hub there for his exam.

My experience with Dr. Kellee Bertsch, O.D. at Today's Vision was exceptional. She was very knowledgeable in answering every question that I had. Dr. Bertsch educated me by providing the "why" to several questions regarding Astigmatism, Near-sightedness, Far-sightedness, and how the eye itself operates as part of the human body. These questions were never so thoroughIy answered in the pass. I was also very appreciative to be offered Eyecon Screening Digital Imaging as an alternative to dilation, meaning I could simply drive home after the appointment without experiencing any downtime due to blurred vision. It was amazing to be able to look at such a high quality image of my eyes on the computer monitor as Dr Bertsch gave such a detailed explanation. I now feel confident in knowing more about myself.
