First time visiting this office because I was looking for a new office after finding Costco optical to be to irritating to deal with anymore. The customer service there doesn’t exist in my opinion because of the volume they do and when it comes to eye exams and contacts/ eye glasses, I just want more for my money and time.Overall I found this office in Lake Forest easy to find, easy parking and the staff to be very efficient and relaxed, which is exactly what I was looking for. I felt like I wasn’t pushed in any way to buy anything specific though I’ll definitely be back for contacs and/or glasses. I didn’t leave feeling tired and wondering I what happened in there. In fact, I’ve made an appt for my teenager because I liked Emily and Dr. Danz so much. Emily was very prepared with a print out of my VSP plan and knew extremely well how the brands worked with my insurance. I knew if I had any questions she could answer them easily and I trusted her implicitly. It also was peaceful in the office and when other patients came in, other employees were in the back, but came out to assist. This is a small office in a little plaza in downtown Lake Forest. Down the street is starbucks if you need a drink after your visit and if you’d like to stop for flowers, Chalet has a small shop right at the train station stop for you to pick up something nice for a gift or for brightening up your window sill. If you’re thinking of trying a new office for a long term relationship and want a professional exam done by a team of people who care about your eye health, I’d say this is the place you are looking for.

My wife and I are long term customers of Optometrists of the North Shore, and I do mean LONG term! We would not dream of going elsewhere. We are known personally by the staff and visits to the office are like family. Our needs for eyecare are always handled expertly.

But that wouldn't mean much if they didn't have an amazing selection of frames available in the showroom and an outstanding staff. I've never had my billing and insurance coverage explained so clearly by any other medical provider. Love the fact that Dr. Henderson took the time to go through my exam results and explain how my eyes are changing as I age (and what they're looking out for in the future). Top to bottom, great people work here. I couldn't be happier with my choice of eye care center and won't be going anywhere else!

Dr Brody goes above and beyond to help his patients. I came in with a cracked gas permeable lense. Instead of just ordering another lense, he found a soft lense to give me in the interim and taught me how to put them in and take them out until my new lense arrived. After taking any appointment I could get just to keep my contacts coming in over the years with pearl vision, it was finally time to find an eye doctor for me. I compared reviews for many local opticians on nextdoor and google and decided upon the optometrist of the north shore and lake forest. I found the booking process easy and quick at the Lake Forest location, they got me in within two business days. I was able to fill out all of my intake forms online in an easy format prior to my arrival. I was seated within minutes of arriving for the appointment. I felt that the eye exam was extremely thorough and the doctor, Tricia, was phenomenal. She had great patience and understanding with all of my concerns and questions. I went into this appointment expecting to be sold on new frames/contacts/etc. None of that! The woman at the front desk (red glasses, cannot think of her name) was so helpful. She verified that my current glasses were the correct prescription, and even tightened the screws and fitted the frames to my head without me ever asking. I had to ask to order contacts, which I greatly appreciated. I felt the health of my eyes were the priority here and not how much money they could get from me. Ordered six months worth of contacts and they were ready for pickup within two days. I couldn't be happier with the experience at The Optometrist of Lake Forest.

The doctors really take the time to go over every detail of test results and imaging with patients. You have a clear understanding of what's going on with your eyes. I have more confidence with the optometrists to keep an eye on my cataracts than I ever did with my ophthalmologist. Now, at some point, surgery may be called for, and I'm equally confident that the Optometrists of the NS and LF will steer me to a competent ophthalmologist when the time comes. For now, I couldn't be more pleased with the care I've been getting here.

I have chronic and intense light sensitivity due to migraines with aura. This extreme sensitivity is present 24/7, not just during a migraine. As you can imagine, going to the eye dr to get bright lights in your eyes could be terrifying and miserable for me. The staff and Dr. Henderson did not minimize my pain and trepidation and were accommodating, respectful, and of course skilled. I also have a family history of poor eye health so making sure I follow through with these appointments is key. I am relieved to know that I have a place to go to that instills me with confidence about their skill and professionalism, but also their care and concern.

Love the office staff and doctors. All top-notch. I've gone there for contacts and glasses. Both were handled with ease. While it may not be the largest selection of frames I've seen, the collection is excellent and should have several choices and styles for just about every face shape and budget.

This was my first visit with Dr. Brody. Staff was friendly and competent. Dr. Brody listened to my needs and provided the appropriate decisions. The waiting area is quite small with only 2 chairs close to the door. It would be nice if there was more space, but it seems to work.

Dr. Brody analyzed my right eye sty problem and prescribed treatment - in one day it is already feeling much better. Treatment will last 7 days. I was not scheduled - so on emergency basis i only had to wait about 20 minutes.

The medical advice I've received from Dr. Henderson about my eye care has been accurate.He explains things thoroughly and answers any questions I may have. I really wouldn't want to go anyplace else!
