Diagnosed with Keratoconus in 1987, I have only had 2 eye doctors that could competently fit me with contacts. The first in 1987, and Doc Ostoich since 2010. I am grateful for his passion for working with the challenge of properly fitting contacts over cones, it's been life-changing. Great conversations too. I enjoy the time I spent with Doc Ostoich.

Everything about the eye center is great from the staff greeting you to the techs and the doctors. They always take you on time and the doctors never rush your exam. They listen and answer all your questions. They always explain the charges to you so you know exactly what you are paying for after the exam.

Dr. Mata was very informative and attentive to my concerns, which I appreciated very much! I certainly hope that the prescribed antibiotic and the warm compresses correct the problem. My condition, now three days following my appointment with her and complying to her directives, has not changed. Though I am hopeful.

Dr. Ostoich is always so friendly and really cares about providing the best possible care. He is patient and answers all my questions. The staff do their best to help in any way they can and are always pleasant. The location is clean and well laid out. I have been going there for many years and have never had a bad experience. In addition, they are one of the few places I've found that are able to adequately treat Keratoconus with scleral lenses.

Everyone I dealt with, from my first phone call to my thorough office visit, was friendly, professional, helpful and kind. I am dealing with serious vision issues and have been incredibly uncomfortable and stressed out. Other offices/doctors have not helped as I've attempted to find answers and solutions. Dr. Shelus and the entire staff are wonderful, kind, informative and thorough. Every staff member was responsive, helpful and kind as well. I wholeheartedly recommend this practice!

As a long time patient of the practice I was very disappointed in the wait time in the past we have always been seen promptly. We have to wait about a half hour to be taken in the back. Then was even more surprised while I was waiting to pick out glasses 3 employees were socializing loudly in the hall while there were several people waiting. A patient asked one of them for help and he said he couldn’t help her that she had to wait for someone else.Also Sydney had to leave me several times to go help others.

I have been going to the office for 19 years and have always gotten great service from friendly staff . I tried the orthoK contacts as I couldn’t keep my contacts in longer then a few hours as I was getting older. This was a game changer and I can see 20/20 during day with only wearing contacts to bed. I’m so glad they do what seems like a little known option for contacts.

On 4/24/2023 I saw Dr. Christine M. Mata. She was professional, caring, and compassionate. She is knowledgeable and well versed in her field. Not sure if anyone really reads this feedback or if anyone cares enough to contact me to explain. Maybe I did not understand my prescription, but when I received my written prescription during my visit, to me it looked different from what the doctor told me verbally. When I talked to one of the staff members, she was not able to explain to me the reason. She had to talk to Doctor Sullivan to see what happened. When I received my new prescription via email, it was written per what the doctor told me. Again, maybe I did not understand the original prescription, but if it was a mistake, wouldn't that have been a major problem? My wife and I just completed our third annual exam at Sullivan Ostoich Eye Center. We continue to be impressed with your professionalism, efficiency and courteousness. All the staff we've interacted with are very friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Shelus is excellent at explaining the exams and test results. She is friendly and makes us totally comfortable with the exam process. I also recently saw Dr. Sullivan for an ophthalmology exam. He also displayed a caring attitude. The entire office just has a very professional atmosphere. I rarely give all excellent ratings in surveys, but these are definitely deserved.

I think that Sullivan-Ostoich Eye Center is one of the best eye centers I’ve encountered in years. I went to two other eye centers and was told that I needed cataract surgery. I had questions about that diagnosis because my far vision was not blurry or marred. I went to Sullivan-Ostoich for another opinion. My doctor there was Dr. Mata. She examined my eyes carefully. I told her that my main issue was double vision, something I had told the previous two doctors. She informed me that while I did have some minor issues with cataracts, my problem was something called strabismus. It’s primarily a child’s problem but older adults can experience it. It has to do with the muscles surrounding the eye where the eye starts to fall out of alignment with the other eye. In my day, I believe it was called “lazy eye”. She referred me to a number of surgeons who can perform this procedure. To make a long story short, I had trouble finding a surgeon who could perform this. I called Sullivan-Ostoich back and left a message for Dr. Mata for her help. She called me back and recommended three surgeons who could do it. I’m delighted that I went to them. Otherwise I would have had cataract surgery and the problem of double vision would have persisted. I’m so grateful to Dr. Mata for diagnosing me correctly, probably saving thousands of dollars and the problem still not fixed. The entire staff at this office were nothing short of wonderful! I would recommend them to anyone with eye issues. Simply the best.

I so depend on my yearly eye exam. I know I will be professionally cared for by all staff The staff, plus of course, Dr. Sullivan, are so deligent, kind and I trust their feedback. Eyes are so important, that I dont trust just anybody. They have guided me over maybe 20 years. I also like that each professional includes me in theeir observations eg., the growth of my macular degeneration. Im not looked upon as "you're too old to understand" phenomenon many of us experience in our aging process.

So thankful for your help! In just minutes, DR. OSTOICH removed the foreign body from my eye and immediately the pain was gone! He explained everything so clearly and prescribed medication to heal my injured cornea. He also gave me drops for pain if necessary. The staff is so friendly, patient, and attentive to the patient too. I had been in pain for a couple days, trying home remedies, but in just minutes, Dr. Ostoich solved the problem. And very thorough, as he checked the eye for any possible additional problems. And you can't beat the close parking when you're walking in with an eye condition. Heard great things about this clinic from parishioners at Holy Family. And so true! My brother's cataract surgery was done by Dr. Sullivan and he was so pleased with his care too and now refers folks to him. I will be coming soon for my cataracts. Thank you all again!

The technical service is always excellent but I was uncomfortable with the amount of people in the facility. There were probably close to 20 people in the office. I still prefer social distancing in these trying times even though I am fully vaccinated!

It’s a beautiful, inviting environment, and the staff are welcoming, professionals don’t efficient in taking care of my questions and needs. Dr. Sullivan and the staff were phenomenal. I went to the office to have specific testing recommended by an optometrist based on medication I take and high pressures in my eyes. The staff made me feel right at home from the moment I walked in to the office. After some basic tests, I had to wait 20 minutes. During that time, multiple staff passed and Dr. Sullivan greeting them each and was genuinely inquisitive about how each was doing. Then it came time for his exam & testing. He was super nice, explanatory, and assured me that everything was ok. His bedside manner should be the example for every doctor, as well as his treatment of staff! Definitely 5 stars!!!

Dr. Mata has provided excellent care. I rated office environment fair because staff continues to use scented products which trigger my allergies and can cause respiratory failure. A member of the front desk team also licked her finger to turn pages of a document. Please reinforce sanitation and allergic response training. That is the only factor that needs work.

Our total experience from our initial call for an appointment to ordering new glasses was great. The staff are very friendly and courteous. The technicians and doctor were informative and performed the most thorough eye exams my wife and I have ever had. We then spent time with another staff member selecting new glasses. She was very helpful in selecting the right style and size for our facial features. What a great overall experience! We highly recommend this eye center

Dr Sullivan is amazing. Was able to get us in at a moments notice. Very personable and took the time to figure out what was going on with my daughter. Facility was immaculate and customer service was great. Highly recommend.
