The staff is always very friendly and helpful. I believe that Dr Chacko genuinely cares about my health. They always get me in and out as fast as possible to that the visit doesn't take up all of my dad. The nurse-practitioner Amanda is my vote for employee of the year! I would recommend them to everyone that needs a good caring doctor's office

If you want a personable visit with your doctor you should really go to stonebrook family Medicine. Not only has the doctor and the PA been there as long as I have been going to stonebrook Family medicine their office staff and nurse has been there the entire time like 20 years. Every time Dr Mona Chaco comes in the room she does not rush things she's very personable. She asked me how I'm doing, sometimes how is my husband doing, I really love it. They go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and at home. And it works!

Dr. Chackco wasn't particularly friendly or warm. As I began to explain any health concerns she consistently interrupted or talked over me. How can you support full wellness if you're not listening. On multiple occasions she insisted other doctors would be unlikely to accept my insurance - I'm not sure why considering that I have insurance provided by my employer. This seemed to be steeped in an assumption. Nevertheless, I don't see this being a long term care provider/wellness provider. As I exited and stated "Nice to meet you" she just grunted and kept along her path without eye contact. I found her staff to be warm but I'm there for medical care and advice.

The whole point of my last visit (telemedicine) was to deal with a persistent cough brought on by Covid that wasn’t being successfully managed using over the counter cough medication and I’m told to take NyQuil? What’s the point? Look, the *only* reason I schedule an appointment with Dr Chacko is because I have to, either because of a need to refill a maintenance medication or because whatever ails me is more severe than what I can treat through self medication. I’m neither a lightweight when it comes pain tolerance nor a hypochondriac, so if I take time out and spend the money, I expect my medical concerns to be treated seriously and prescribed a course of treatment that I can’t undertake on my own because I’ve already gone the OTC or common sense route. Since that hasn’t been the case on more than one occasion, I’m looking for a new provider. Note that Dr Chacko’s PA, nurses and staff are all very good; my dissatisfaction is solely with Dr Chacko.

Dr. Chacko has been my PCP for 5 years now. I’ve been a nurse for 10 years and am now a provider myself as a Psychiatric NP. You don’t find a physician everyday who has her bedside manner or genuine care. She always listens, never rushes, and I love how she sits so you feel free to describe what’s going on. I’ve moved several times, but always make the drive because I don’t want to be seen by anyone else.

I am a very healthy female. I have only one concern that I talked to the doctor about- hair loss. I was told that spironolactone is to prevent hair growth- something I have been taking for a year to regrow my hair. I looked it up- not accurate.6) Female pattern hair loss Female pattern hair loss is characterized by thinning on the crown. In a 2005 British Journal of Dermatology study, 44% of women treated with 200 mg of spironolactone daily had regrowth of hair, while another 44% had no change. I was also told, since I take a hormone bioidentical cream with testosterone, that women really dont need testosterone. Not accurate. I am not living my life to just exist. I am living it to excel and thrive. I want a doctor who is not just treating disease but who is engaged in helping me live my best life by being current on science and health.

It was my 4th visit to this office and also the worst one. Staff was friendly but Doctor Mona Chaco wasn't. She asked me so many questions that wasn't related to my health. She asked me why I don't have Insurance, who give me disability and why, why I see Urologist and many more. She knows I am Chronic Kidney disease patients and the doctor I see us a Kidney specialist. She acted totally inappropriate and I won't ever going back to this place and also I won't recommend to anyone. She didn't listen for my reason to be there in first place. It just was like I did something wrong and my ant was mad on me. So buy to this "Doctor" but I still hope she will release how and where she did wrong and learn from her mistakes.

I was not happy with the doctor's refusal to check my blood for antibodies. The doctor stated she had her opinion on the subject and she was no longer doing testing for antibodies. Last I checked, I was the customer. My blood was already drawn and I had mentioned my desire for antibody testing from my first contact with office staff. Now I need to go to a separate facility, taking more blood and more time. What an inconvenience!!!!

I was very very disappointed with the rude response and behavior of the front office staff especially the lady who sits in the room adjoining the front office she vehemently refused to give me an appointment for collection of my annual physical blood work and a subsequent appointment with the Dr. once my blood report arrived so I could discuss any concerns I had with the Dr. personally rather then through a nurse calling up and reading the report to me which I can very well do myself The strange unusual excuse given was the Insurance company does not permit that WHEREAS all my friends go through the same procedure that I had requested above with their PCP’s

I have been going to this practice for years, as it is close to where I work. Recently (the last two years perhaps) I find that my refills are not authorized when I run out of them. This often means missing out on my medication for a week as I discover the refill has been denied, which usually means calling the pharmacy. Then I find out the pharmacy request was denied as well, and I am expected to call the office and schedule an appointment. I have even been told that I should just "know" that I am expected to come in "if it has been a while". Then I have to schedule an appointment, drive 45 min both ways, pay a co-pay, and be sent on my way to then wait for another day or two before the refill auth is sent to the pharm. I should not have my medication (for depression and anxiety... thanks!) withheld in order to force me to make an appointment, take a huge chunk of my day, only to then be 'allowed' to continue on the treatment my brain needs. This most recent time, after a week of the pharmacy requests being ignored, and a week of my own calls and messages being ignored, I transferred to a more local practice. The last I had heard, both my request and theirs for records had also been unfulfilled.

Friendly front line staff. Recommendation: Schedule doctor visit after bloodwork. I hate not meeting with my doctor to discuss my lab results. I would rather go in quickly for blood withdrawl and then schedule a doctor's visit to discuss blood work and my condition. I hate talking to a nurse over the phone to discuss bloodwork and condition, very inpersonal and I don't feel like I have the opportunity to ask questions that I need regarding lab results, plus nurses are hard to get a hold of. this office is so close to our new home here in frisco and I thought we got lucky finding a new doctor because of the experiences we had at our old location but this office hasn’t made things better. The only nice person that talks to you is the nurse that pulls you to the back to get your weight and pulse. When I go in the front staff never says hello and I have to go up to them and they don’t greet. I sign in and sit down. Also last visit I was really upset I spend the last $30 I had as I stay at home with my son and I had a really bad cough but no fever and Dr.Chacko said I didn’t need any medicine. Didn’t test me once for strep or flu or bronchitis. It bothered me that she only checked for 1 second the inside of my throat and said I was fine and my cough is actually still an issue but I’d rather suffer with it then go back and have her say nothing is wrong.

As an established, low maintenance patient, I felt that the office could have taken better care of me when I was ill. I called the morning after I was seen by Dr. Chacko, to tell them my symptoms were worse-including a bad headache. My headache started the morning prior, but Dr. Chacko said to continue Mucinex (with acetaminophen), and I was taking ibuprofen as well. The office didn't get back with me for several hours and I wasn't any better so I called again. The receptionist said "well they typically call before they leave for the day after they've seen patients." I don't feel like that is very good patient care, so I told her...my symptoms started before my visit yesterday can I please talk to the nurse. She obliged, and the nurse gets on the phone, and says "Dr. Chacko said she can call you in naproxen." The same drug class as the ibuprofen I was taking that wasn't helping ? Also no need for a script, you can purchase over the counter. Then, she said , "well I'll talk to dr. Chacko again and call you back." She calls back, at this time it's 3pm...I'm sick, head hurts, and she gives me the same response- "take naproxen." I honestly couldn't believe how little they cared about me, my time, or my symptoms. After 2 years, I'll be finding another primary care provider.

I really appreciated that when I explained the symptoms I was concerned about, that they worked me in THAT afternoon. I was prepared to wait for a couple of days or a week, but without me asking, the receptionist was concerned enough that she worked me in right away. The office staff was very nice and the lady who performed my EKG was very personable and mentioned that she had worked for the previous dr. that owned the practice and she stayed when dr. Chacko took over. As a previous medical receptionist and being privy to medical office environments (veterinary and human)- that speaks volumes when you can keep staff around that long. I thought Dr. Chacko was very thorough and I appreciated that she wasn't trying to cram 50 prescriptions down my throat. Again, being someone who has had experience working in doctor's offices- I know that there are some (NOT ALL) doctors who have no problem endorsing medication that isn't always necessary because their weekly office lunches and annual Christmas party are being paid for by a certain big pharma company.

The front staff weren't very friendly, but the nurse and Doctor made up for this. They were both knowledgeable and personable. Along with very helpful and understanding. I had a lot to discuss and I never felt rushed. This is important to me. It was a short wait time, they took me right back and after a quick check of my history, the nurse left and the Dr came in immediately. I've never had that happen before. Usually I'm sitting in the room waiting longer then I did in the waiting room. I was anxious about my appt and they definitely helped!

I was looking for a Family physician for a while and found Dr Mona Chacko. I went with her thinking that I had a flu and would have some blood work or scans and have to take some heavy dosage. I was scared as I was pregnant and did not have a flu shot yet. I had a huge sigh of relief when she told me it was only some allergies. I had also taken my flu shot (non preservative) immediately. She listened to my issues with utmost patience. Also liked the office environment and their staff a lot.

Dr. Chacko and the team here are always very nice, accommodating to request and last minute schedule changes (within reason). One great thing about Dr. Chacko is she isn't a prescription-writing machine; she assesses your condition and gives you frank advice on what to do. Too many doctors now try to rush their visit and write a whole host of prescriptions, Dr. Chacko takes her time and answers all questions you have before leaving. Am happy!

No smile. I am sorry to say but nobody in office greeted with a smile. I could not establish a good relationship with the provider. They had sent incorrect prescription to my pharmacy and upon questioning did not even have the current medication dose that I am currently taking. I am reluctant to trust such a facility where you cannot maintain correct patient records.

The online access does make it convenient to obtain lab results but it would be great if there was a print option such a hard copy could be generated for filing.
