The staff is wonderful, kind and caring. Just like Dr Sheng, teaching and providing a Calming environment allows for absorption of all education. They explain what they are doing and why it is necessary. They ask frequently if you are in pain or feeling comfortable? BEST PLACE TO BE IF YOU ARE IN NEED OF DENTAL SERVICES!!!!

I was having dental pain and my regular dentist could not fit me in for 3 weeks!! I called to see if I could get in here and my call was promptly returned by a very kind receptionist who asked me about my pain and an appointment was quickly made. I was welcomed by the receptionist in the lobby with a smile. I was brought in to be seen quickly, and the dental assistant, who was also very welcoming and professional, took an xray of the affected area. I have severe bone loss and periodontal disease, which I have had for years, and no other practice has offered any plan except to pull the teeth as they become loose and infected. Dr Sheng was so great!! She went over my xray with me and explained my options in detail. She said "we need to make a plan". I have never felt so included in my own dental care in my life. She took the time to answer my questions, make sure I was informed of all my options, and help me decide the best plan to take going forward. I will absolutely be staying on as a patient with her and her team.

The hygienist was thorough but was careful about my pain level, using a numbing gel for upper and lower cleaning. I prefer not to use the water method as it is more painful and was happy that that method was not used. Dr. Sheng checked in on me and checked my teeth after the cleaning.

Dr. Sheng is kind, gentle, precise and efficient. She is highly skilled. Brilliant I would say. I broke a crown in half and the visit to replace it with a new crown was easy and pain free. The temporary crown fits perfectly and I know that the permanent crown will fit perfectly as well. I am so grateful to be a patient of Dr. Sheng. She’s the best dentist I have had in my (long) life! I am part of uour group plan and was not notified in advance that deep cleaning was not part of regular cleaning that is supposed to be covered twice a year under the plan. This was my first visit and I was 100% satisfied! The hygienist Angelica was amazing. She was Very patient with me and answered my questions in detail. I was just in for ape rays and a cleaning and was pleasantly surprised with the equipment they used for both of these procedures! Not dreading my next cleaning at all!! I had a severely abscesses tooth. We left a message at night, they called me immediately in the early morning. Got me in that morning and they took care of me. Pulled the tooth with no problem. In addition, the dentist explained my situation well and was not pushing any particular services as some other practices tend to do. My first impression of Samoset Family Dental was very positive. I went for a cleaning, x-rays, and exam, and I should mention I have a bit of a dentist phobia.. The waiting room and exam room were very clean, front dest staff were polite and helpful. My hygienist was thorough and professional, patiently answered all my questions, even took it upon herself to look into a small billing concern I had re my new insurance. The dentist was very nice, had a pleasant calming demeanor. She went over x-rays with me and explained what work I would need and why. So glad I found such a great practice close to home.

I don't think anyone feels that getting your teeth cleaned is pleasant but this was the most pleasant of any I've had done. The office is state of the art. The staff pleasant, informative, and thorough. Dr Sheng explained the next steps and I felt like I was in good hands. Looking forward to getting some issues taken care of that I've let go too long.
