I have been going to Optix for over a decade and have always had such wonderful and knowledgeable experiences. Last year Dr. Habib took over for Dr. Collins and wondered how things would change. I have seen him twice now and he is sincerely kind, helpful and patient to answer any questions. The thorough testing and examination allow for great confidence in keeping aware of any health changes that could happen with the eyes. I also thoroughly enjoy selecting new frames with numerous style choices and kind and welcoming help. As always my eye appointment went perfectly. I am greeted by Ellen with a smile and follow all the covid protocols as requested. I am then greeted by Dr. Collins who takes me back for my battery of tests to make sure my eyes are functioning to the utmost clarity. He's very precise in all aspects of my eye care and goes over ever test as they happen. Nothing major to worry about. I then finish my visit going over the many new styles of glasses with Ellen. I, of course found a new model of Rudy Project sunglasses I will purchase on my next visit. A wonderful experience as always.

Excellent!! Both Dr. Collins and Ellen were warm and courteous. The Zeiss lenses were great - I have been using Zeiss for the last 6-7 years and always found them to be excellent. This year I had my first pair of Progressive lenses and I am very satisfied with the ease of use. There were some hiccups around the scheduling and delivery of the lenses but were outside the direct control of Dr. Collins and Ellen.

Dr Collins was great and showed me all the gadgets that asses eye health and explained everything wonderfully. He also made me laugh and feel very at ease. Mine was a delightful visit. I've titled my review "Det R Collins" due to Dr. Collins' powers of deduction! Dr. Collins is thorough,, very t h o r o u g h. He'll point out root causes that you've never, never considered. He masks his "wisdom" from years of practice and masquerades as a mild-mannered gentleman. I was fooled, I fully expected the usual. Sit down, look up/down..blah, blah,..you need a new RX!! It ain't so at Optix Eyewear. From my arrival to the selection of lenses and frames was custom, personalized and very human interaction. At my exit...Mrs. Collins was kind, took her time, made several sensible recommendations, checked on my coverage, walked me through their extraordinary selection of frames, spoke of the "why" they deal with the specific makers and said "No" where she deemed it necessary! Optix Eyewear is where you go when you want a supportive, easy to deal with biz owners. Simply put, it's somewhere i'd go to hang out, have a cup of coffee, and just maybe pick Dr. Collins brain ;] Will be back for more! too bad, I need glasses only once a yr.!

The appointment making process was very bad - as in, if I could say a zero out of 1-5 stars I would. The actual doctor's visit was reasonable - albeit not as informative as I had hoped. Continuing the recovery of my eye injury (which is still a mystery as to how it happened) using the eye drops provided by the doctor in Michigan with the modification to do it only once per day.

Dr. Collins and his staff are great but the other day they were exceptional. I came in to pick up my lenses and Ellen, Dr. Collins wife noticed that I had a broken blood vessel in my right eye. Dr. Collins had only a few minutes between appointments but he immediately checked my eye with three pieces of equipment and told me what had happened and what I needed to think about to prevent this from happening again. You can't go wrong with Dr. Collins and Optix.

We come from Auburn, we have been clients for many years and, yes, at one point we took it for granted that all higher end places were the same so we looked for a closer place. We were very wrong. We could get a good dr. ,we could get the same Zeiss lenses but you can't replace Ellen. She just knows what frames look awesome on us. She has an amazing instinct. Vision is crystal clear and we look fabulous and always love what we get. Never get another pair of glasses that you end up not liking or that don't fit properly.

Dr. Collins is the best. He and Ellen had me come in without an appointment when I poked my eye on a low-hanging tree branch and my eye filled with blood. He checked out my eye and vision and gave me reassuring news about the extent of the injury. You can't get better lenses anywhere, I know, we tried. The lenses are crystal clear. When you always get your glasses at cheaper places it sounds great to save money and why should you spend more money? I'll tell you why. YOUR EYES need the best care and best quality lenses possible. Not only that but until you get lenses from Optix you don't realize you could be seeing much clearer. My husband is the worst about spending money and after years of wearing lower quality lenses I got him to try Optix. He now understands how much clearer you can see. The frames are top quality and fun designs should you want that but also normal frames are available. I have been going there for about 15 years and have never been unhappy. Ellen fits glasses amazingly and has a knack for picking frames perfect for your face. Dr. Collins has top quality equipment and knowledge. Everyone is so nice and helpful. I also took all this for granted and tried another place and found that lenses are not just lenses. How they are done is important. The old saying you get what you paid for applies here. Your eyes are worth it.

I have seen Dr. Collins since I was in middle school and its always been fantastic. He's taken the time to get to know me and my family, worked with me to ensure I had everything I needed before my wedding and took the time to catch up with me and look at pictures from the wedding during my annual appointment. Dr. Collins has been our optometrist for over 10 years now and it has always been a pleasure to go for our check-ups. He and his wife are very professional, yet friendly. The office staff is very competent, as well and takes good care of all the questions you could possibly have concerning eye wear. They keep up with the newest technology and have all the latest devices to make sure any changes in eye health are detected. At the same time, they don't push any treatments or new glasses on you. This was my first visit to Dr. Collins on recommendation of a friend. I must say I was very impressed by that the technology of the Dr.'s tools was very current. Dr. Collins was very thorough during the eye exam and was happy to answer any questions I had. The frames offered are very up to date and stylish and have something for everyone and every price range. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Glasses are an important accessory for me and I had a really fun time picking out the frames. I do not have my glasses yet but hear the technology used for the lenses is awesome - I am very excited to get them!

I've been coming to Dr. Collins for years now and he's always had both the highest tech available for eye exams and the best explanations of what is changing with my vision. Optix continues to have the biggest selection of frames to try on after my exam. Wouldn't go anywhere else!

Dr. Collins is always professional, personable, and never rushes the appointment. He explains all options very nicely (e.g. contacts, LASIK, etc.) and lets you pick. I like that he relates personal preferences and experiences while helping you understand the situation. I also love that he is always up-to-date on the latest toys, all in the name of eye health.

Dr. Collins provides comprehensive eye exams and seeks to understand every important eyecare detail. I have a pre-glaucoma condition and it is very important that I receive the best of eyecare. He and his staff are very personable an exceptionally thorough in their service and support. I appreciate Optix Eyewear for their exceptional selection of premium quality eyewear, especially being an authorized provider of Zeiss Optics, which have no equal in visual resolution and is a major value for me.

Everything on time, everybody is super friendly, Dr. Collins is superb, all the issues are taken care of. Love it that no pupil dilation is needed anymore, and the back of the eye is still checked.

Dr. Collins is great - very personable and his staff is very accommodating and helpful. They didn't try to up-sell me or sell me "additional" products. They were respectful of my budget and were great at helping me find just the right pair of glasses and explaining all the options. The only thing I was was a bit disappointed that time ran out so he wasn't able to finish up with "puff" test. He was late starting my appointment and I was his last patient. I wish he would have taken the time to do the test that is not that time consuming. Overall it was a good experience!

We couldn't love Optix Eyewear more! Dr. Collins and his team never fail to spend a great deal of time making sure that our eyes are healthy and that we get the most accurate glasses and contact prescriptions possible. They have state of the art diagnostic tools, which is great, but more than that, their good, old-fashioned caring - about all aspects of our lives and health - is what makes them stand apart from other providers. Best eye healthcare ever! More than just checking your vision and getting an Rx for new eyeglasses, Dr. Collins and OPTIX' terrific staff insure that the health of your whole vision system is thoroughly checked and followed up. Then, should you need new eyewear, they have a beautiful collection for which they provide excellent style and fit recommendations, and the lenses they offer are – quite literally – the best in the world. I had no idea how much of a difference this quality of care and glasses could make in my life until I experienced it. Wonderful!

I wouldn't change a thing! My husband and I have seen Dr. Collins now for over 10yrs. We now take our kids (who have somewhat complicated eye needs) to see him. He was nothing short of amazing. He and Ellen are very personable and caring. We really appreciated both the way he interacted with our kids as well as the very detailed recap to us after their visit. Our kids used to see a children's eye specialist who, for a variety of reasons, we were less than pleased with (so were the kids!) We feel so fortunate to have Dr. Collins, Ellen and their extremely friendly staff in our list of care providers!

I have pre-glaucoma and take quality eyecare and optical quality seriously-- designer frame selection is important too. Dr. Collins and staff are amazing in both skill-level and consultation. No retailer has a better selection of designer eyewear in the Puget Sound area. I was drawn to their retail store some years ago because they are an authorized Zeiss optical provider which is undisputed world-class performance.
