I patronized this practice thanks to a referral from a friend, but I will never EVER return. Dr. Dossa's primary concern appears to be generating revenue through frame sales vs. providing high quality and high touch patient care. At the start of our visit, when she asked me about my current frames, she visibly recoiled when I showed her my Warby Parker frames. She literally refused to touch them, saying "These frames just break all the time." Sure, doc. That's why Warber Parker stores are all over the country. Her elitist view of her eco-friendly (but aesthetically a HOT MESS) frames translates into refusing to check on any other pairs of glasses, which is the first time in my 45 years of wearing glasses that I've had this experience. Optometrists should be checking your eyewear--irrespective of brand. To boot: It was clear that Dr. Dossa never read my patient files prior to my first or second visit. I have a fairly uncommon condition (retinal deposits) and when I reminded here of this, she tried to upsell me on a random diagnostic test (again, the first time in my 40+ years that this has been the case), and further implored that I consider the needs of her other patients and their end-of-year flex spending needs by pushing out this "threshold exam," until the new year. Really? Friends, let me say that: Black Eyesight Matters. Why the hell do I need to wait on my test because of your end of year patient rush? Once again: it's clear that Dr. Dossa is only interested in providing services that translate to a cash grab. I was dismayed when I realized that during my first appointment last year, she never dilated my eyes (again, a standard service). Additionally, there were other diagnostic tests for peripheral acuity (visual field tests) and the autorefractor assessment hat she refused to perform. This was an invaluable learning lesson. The next time I detect bias--as I did within the first five minutes of my appointment--I will simply walk out.

I would give Dr Dossa 10 stars if I could. She is a superb optometrist who listens carefully, is compassionate and truly cares about her patients. I have complicated vision problems and her expertise has helped me address them in a pro-active way. Simply said; she is the best optometrist I have ever seen and I can't imagine a better one. Her staff is highly skilled and the office is comfortable and welcoming.

Dr. Dossa and her colleagues are all great. The practice is characterized by professionalism, kindness, expertise, courtesy, and efficiency. I've been trusting my eyesight to Dr. Dossa since she took over the practice at Lunettes du Monde, and I always leave my appointments feeling confident that no one could be more thorough or knowledgeable about all things optometric. Plus, she's as nice as can be. The shop's options for frames, etc. are extensive and up to date, and the office is comfortable and inviting. In short, IMO, Lunettes du Mondes is as good as it gets for optometry.

What a lovely experience! I am always a bit anxious when visiting a new doctor, but was so thankful for my experience with Dr. Dossa and and the opticians at Lunettes du Monde Optometry. Dr. Dossa is wonderful, and treated my acute eye symptoms with the urgency that was needed. She was kind, knowledgeable and extremely helpful by referring me to an opthamologist for a possible surgical remedy. Her staff is lovely as well. Very friendly and personable, which I really appreciated. It’s so hard to find a genuinely nice and talented doctor right now, so I consider myself lucky I found her on Yelp!

Dr. Dossa and team are the BEST. I just had my yearly eye exam, and they took every precaution to keep the staff and me safe during COVID. Dr. Dossa took her time, and explained everything to me without me feeling rushed. They always welcome me back like an old friend, and even offered to contact the company that makes my current pair of glasses to see if they can fix the chipped coating on my frame.

I went during the coronavirus pandemic. They checked my temperature as soon as I arrived. Hand sanitizer was available and all staff modeled the appropriate measures. The office was bright, clean and organized. The staff are professional and polite. Dr. Dossa was very welcoming and explained what she was doing each step of the way. This was my first time seeing Dr. Dossa and I could not have been more impressed. She carefully took my history, explained all of the tests she was performing and what that meant for my vision. She even consulted my insurance coverage to make sure I was receiving my maximum benefits. They have a wonderful selection of independent frame manufacturers and a super friendly team who helped me pick out the perfect shape for my face. Above that, they took all the necessary precautions against COVID-19 and I felt safe and well-taken care of. I highly recommend Lunettes de Monde and will definitely be returning.

Dr. Dosa and her whole team are wonderful. I've been buying my glasses and getting my eyes checked here for many years, and it was a very smooth transition when the Schletters retired (the former doctor and his wife who ran the place). I ALWAYS get compliments on my glasses, and always have, since purchasing them here. Dr. Dosa's exams are thorough and thoughtful. And whenever I buy new glasses her team is incredibly patient and so helpful in finding just the right shape and fit. I've had small issues with my glasses (as they came straight from the maker), and Lunettes du Monde always makes it right.
