Dr. Dallessandro has been my dentist for quite a few years and I can honestly say he has my complete trust. He always puts his patients first. Everything was fine except the receptionist who greeted patients didn't wear a mask over her nose and when I asked her, she said it hurt, maybe because of her nose ring. She should not be the person interacting with patients. CDC guidelines still require masking in medical settings and that includes staff.

Wonderful dentist, really knows his stuff, gives good advice, doesn't try to upsell or push unnecessary services on you but also has a wide range of services to offer when needed. I've been going to him for nearly 15 years now and really trust him to take care of my teeth. Also every single dental hygienist I've ever encountered working in this office is absolutely top-notch and highly skilled - he picks his staff very carefully - you're always in good hands here.

Everyone in this office is nice, knowlegable, and professional! The waiting area and treatment rooms are super clean. They were first to have hospital grade air filters! Dr Dallessandro is a stand out in the field of dentistry and will never do more work on your teeth/ gums than is necessary. My mother has very sensitive teeth/ gums and the hygienist takes great effort to do a thorough cleaning that is pain free. I have recomended this practice to all of my friends!

I am so happy with my new dentist and my hygienist. I have seen the hygienist twice and I am so pleased with her. She is very gentle but thorough, and I enjoy always my conversations with her. I have been visiting Dr. Dallessandro and his team for about two years now for my semi-annual cleanings. I cannot recommend his practice enough. He and his staff are incredibly friendly, caring, and professional, often remembering and asking me about things we talked about 6 months or a year (or more) prior! I don't think I've ever looked forward to going to the dentist before I started going here. In addition, his office staff are very courteous and responsive. Overall, I've had a fantastic experience here and would recommend Dr. Dallessandro and his team to anyone!

I love Dr. Dallessandro. Dentists don't expect to be loved so most don't even try. But Dr. Dallessandro cares deeply. He hates inflicting pain. He is easy to talk to and will go out of his way to make your dental life a happier place. I'm addressing his wonderful personal qualities but he is also immensely skilled and has saved me from a financially perilous future time and again. I trust him -- which is the highest praise I offer. And...the staff is also wonderful; kind, generous, and talented.

Dr Dallessandro is personally a fine fellow and super on the patient-doctor relationship aspects. Plus he has fine taste in people who work with him. My husband and I have been going to Dr. Dallessandro since 2005. He really cares about his patient’s and their dental health. Not only is he a great dentist but he’s funny and keeps you laughing in the chair. Whenever we have had a dental emergency he has always been there for us. Even coming in on his day off. The staff is very warm and friendly. Min, the dental hygienist is wonderful and does a thorough cleaning. During this time of Covid-19 every precaution was taken to make me feel safe. I highly recommend the Dallessandro dental practice.

Personable, but most important, extremely capable. I have had lots of work on my mouth by numerous dentists, but none of them has explained what work needs to be done and why more clearly than Dr. Dallasandro. He is also the most painless dentist I have ever had, and he seems to have the latest equipment for a dentist office. Finally---and to me, a very important reason I like him so---is the way he treats his staff. He says "please" instead of being commanding and acts toward hi staff as if they are part of a family. I left my last dentist precisely because he constantly yelled at his technicians.

I was very glad to get an appointment to have my chipped tooth attended to the day after I called. Though it was not with my usual dentist, I wanted to get it taken care of ASAP. I have no complaints about the work or how it was done. My reservations are all centered on the lack of communication regarding corona-virus related measures. When the appointment was made, I expected some communication about their protocols, but was not given any. If there was something attached to the form I was asked to fill out (redundantly) online, I did not see it. Since I was ten minutes early, I called from my car outside to see if the dentist would be ready when I arrived and was told that she would be at the time it was scheduled. When I got there, I ended up sitting in the (very small) waiting area for 10-15 minutes. I was not offered any alternative like waiting outside until called. Thought there were clear shower curtains (4 or 5 feet high) set up between seats, their height and the closeness of seating would have been a problem if I had to share the space with another patient. I am in reasonably good health, but am near 70 and have eliminated all indoor situations since mid-March and I had hoped that my first such experience would have been more reassuring. I have used and recommended Dr. D since his days on 79th Street. Overall, I have always considered Dr. Dallesadro's practice five star in every possible area, so I hope that this was a one-off experience.

The hygienist who cleaned my teeth, Robin, did an excellent job and made me feel relaxed and comfortable the entire time. When I saw Dr. Choi shortly afterward, she thoroughly examined my teeth and provided very helpful recommendations on how I might have certain issues fixed in the future. Both Robin and Dr. Choi gave me fantastic advice on how to improve my overall hygiene and were a pleasure to interact with the entire time. The dental hygienist was a bit rough on my teeth and gums, but I probably received the most thorough cleaning I ever had. Dr. D was sensitive to how his treatment plan might negative interact with other a medication I need to take, but was correctly assertive about what needed to be done.

I'm very glad I found Joseph Dallessandro and the other dentists and staff. They are solid. It is a trek for me to get there from Queens but it is worth it. When I first became a patient, I had been going through a string of dentists I did not like for various reasons. Most urgently, I needed a night guard, and Dr. Dallessandro was finally one who was skillful and competent with adjusting one so it would fit well (I think I ordered it from him too, but I'm not sure). Anyway, since then, it's probably been about 4-5 years and I always go every 6 months, so a good # of visits, and I am thankful for their great care and good attitude.

Everything about Dr. Dallesandro and the administration and services provided by his practice was exemplary. He was beyond kind to see shortly after a visit to the hospital emergency room at which time I was on antibiotics. Fortunately, a friend of mine was a patient of his. However, I was disappointed that he did not offer himself or his practice to do the follow up treatment necessary. He told me that my treatment would be costly, offered me referrals to an oral surgeon, and welcomed me to be a patient in the future. The oral surgeon I used through his referral was excellent; but I can’t help but wonder why he didn’t offer to do the procedure as his practice advertises as one of its’ services oral surgery. Since he mentioned that the procedure was costly perhaps he was concerned about about my finances, however, I had chosen to see him although he did not accept my insurance, nor did my oral surgeon who was quite costly. So why?

Dr. Dallessandro has cared for me well since I moved to New York City. He convinced me to get my wisdom teeth out, which no one could do. He sent me to the same surgeon he said he would send his daughter, and the surgeon was fabulous. Also filled my first cavity. I won't see anyone else as long as I'm in the city. The office staff is professional and friendly, too, and the hygienist who works with Dr. Dallesandro is the best I've had.

We have been going to Dr. Dallessandro's office for over 10 years now. Never had a single even slightly bad experience. And it's the dentist so it's not the most fun place to go to, but he and his staff make every effort to get us the best care, in a timely manner and with the outmost respect. Even though they've gotten much more busy lately, the service (cleaning and dental work) has remained a constant A+. Most of the staff has been there for a long time too so that and our own observation shows us that his office is a happy environment and one that treats his own staff with respect. I can't recommend him enough. If you need a dentist, this is the only office I would recommend you go to.

Relative to dental visits, Dr. Dallessandro's is top tier. He himself is a genuinely winning fellow - someone you'd be happy to add to guest list for a dinner party. Besides being very personable, he communicates well in the office. When he recommends a procedure, he explains in non-technical terms what the options are and why he's recommending this one. (He'll also take into account costs and insurance). While he's working, he'll tell you what's going and what's coming up. (Very important to the person in the chair) And he is sensitive to the patient's comfort (or discomfort, which he really does try to avoid). The folks on his staff are competent and nice, and they stay, which is a good sign. He's been my dentist for a decade - since first discovered. That says something; and that after all this time he still gets universal Excellent ratings says even more. (Although, on reflection maybe I overdid it on the office environment - the décor was maybe a 9)

Virtually no wait time, very clean office, the hygienist was very pleasant and more importantly, did a very thorough job with the cleaning (as much as I hate it, if I'm gonna white-knuckle my way through a cleaning, I want it to be worth it!). I was sure I was going to have to have an old filling replaced, but it turns out it's just some new sensitivity, so I didn't spent much time with the actual dentist (I'm not complaining!), but he was very nice. All in all, about as pleasant as a trip to the dentist can be.

Dear Dr. Dallesandro, I thought we may speak about this in person but we did not get a chance. I had left a message for you prior to this recent visit, that my wife and I have not been generally happy with our cleanings. It's not you, the staff or the office but it seems the general practice that is being maintained for cleanings which, for people like us with sensitive teeth, does not motivate us to return for even more frequent visits. We made our case knowledgeable to the staff at large, including the secretary, but we then experienced the same situation. It looks like my wife will not be returning, and this after her trying even after an infection or other ailment associated with the cleanings. I had a good experience recently with Robin, but it's clear they are under a certain direction and maybe the majority of your customers may not have as sensitive teeth as we do, but it seems that you could lose a lot more customers (unnecessarily) if this situation is not remedied. Everyone at Dr Dallessandro's dental office is professional and respectful. This is also the first place where if my appointment is at 3 pm then I will be seen at that time and not half an hour later which is the norm at most dentist's and doctor's offices. They also don't try to upsell me on things like teeth whitening and such which has happened with other dentists. Only once one of the male dentists working on my cavities got a little impatient with me but otherwise Dr Dallessandro and Min the hygienist are great.

I love coming to Dr. D's office - I found him on Yelp when I moved to NYC and he definitely deserves the great reviews he has there!! Everyone in his staff is so friendly, booking appointments is almost always instantaneous and so easy, they are so generous in trying to balance your dental needs with your insurance allowances and personal life. Dr. D is one of those doctors that genuinely remembers and develops a relationship with his patients (not just checks the chart quickly before he walks into your room) and he makes you laugh every time. All of the dental hygienists are so friendly and thorough without taking too long, I genuinely look forward to my dental visits!

Dr. Dallessandro is the very best, no question about it. He is professional in everything he does and a good friend. I have been with Joseph well over 20 years. He is family, even though we are not related by blood.. And if it were not for Dr. Dallessandro I would not have been able to do all that I have through the years. The staff is great and the associate Dentists he has in the office with him makes sure the highest of standards of that he expects is preserved and upheld. So many wonderful things can be said about Dr. Dallessandro. No matter how many great things are said - it could never be enough. If I had to give my Life for him - I would do it in a heartbeat. I had the pleasure of meeting both Dr. Dallessandro and Dr. Choi. It was reassuring they worked together to diagnose which tooth was causing my problem as I really couldn't tell. Good, honest dentistry. Furthermore, this summer when I was Montana, I had a dental emergency. I had to get treatment on the spot. It was a multi- step process. I called Dr. D and he went out of his way to help me and give advice; he got back to me multiple times, despite problems with cell signals and time differences, even giving me his cell so I could call him on his way home (at 7:00 pm!). I could heartily recommend him.

He's wonderful; a Genuine Find ( Proof? Dr. Dallessandro has got long-term patients (well, based on a sample of two) and a stable, long-term staff. Seriously, his office people are very good, and he hangs on to them for years.That says a lot -- good people get a reputation and can move on if they want to. But his stay. And the reason I know they stay is because we two here have also stayed as his happy patients for at least a decade. He's personable, communicative, reliable, funny, accepts our insurance, and really seems to care about his patients. And he does good work. The big problem with tossing this out on the Net is that some you new people reading this might squeeze us regulars out. Try not to all rush in at once.

I've been a patient of Dr. D's for a couple of years now and love him. But on July 28 the 18 year old bonding on one of my front teeth crumbled apart and I was in a panic. I called the office and had an appointment with Dr. Choi, Dr. D's new associate, the next morning at 9 a.m. Dr. Choi was fantastic, explained everything she was doing, and did an amazing job with my bonding. I was due for a cleaning and she was able to take care of that for me as well....herself. She is a great add to the practice and I would feel very comfortable seeing her again. Their office is super convenient for me at work, but I would travel across the city to keep them as my dentists. The whole staff here are lovely too!
