I had a scheduled appointment at 5:00pm on Friday. I had prefilled the paperwork, brought my contacts and did all I needed to for my appointment. The office is so tiny with only 3 chairs so close together that its hard to get to the front desk. That being said, I wasn't even able to get into the office to check in for my appointment. When I finally did, I was asked to stand outside the office until they could get to me. When I was able to get in front of the machines to test for glaucoma, etc I explained that since I pay out of pocket that I did not want the additional cost of the imaging this year. The "technician" was confused and asked the other office person, Sophia, if that was ok. Moving on, she was struggling to align the machine so that she could see my eye and I could see the hot air balloon, I finally had to tell her how to move the machine so that she could. At this point I am not feeling very confident about this eye exam. Sophia came over, when the other technician was unable to do the glaucoma test and she administered it and even with that I had to let her know that the left eye was not even tested. That done I again was asked to wait outside as the walk-in appointments had taken all the available space. I am giving 2 stars as the optometrist was competent and thorough. I am grateful that my prescription rarely changes and I do not have vision issues. I have been coming to this location for years, but will re-think that next year.

I had an appointment at 10:30 a.m Wednesday. I confirm my appointment only to find out that only cash would be acceptable, but I wasn't told ahead of time then they wanted me to do the paperwork by hand. I then said I would reschedule on Thursday , Wednesday I received a text that system was down & would need cash so Thursday I took cash an the receptionist said that text was for yesterday's appointment I than said my appointment was for 10:30 a.m I received the text at 1:30p.m thinking is was for my Thursday appointment and I received it after the fact it was not sent on time Wednesday. I said I Wednesday I don't have enough cash on me and I was told that there was an ATM at the entrance of Costco. I felt that it was very rude so reschedule my appointment for Thurs I was very pleased with the Dr. But not the receptionist.

I currently don’t have vision insurance and had to pay out of pocket. The pricing was reasonable since I had my glasses and contacts checked. Dr. Choi was very kind and insightful! My visit was incredibly helpful and pleasant. First of all, you cannot beat the cost for full service! I was able to get a full eye scan for just a few dollars more than the basic evaluation. The optometrist gave me wonderful advice as to the type of eyeglasses to order, provide insights into better caring for my eye health, and put me at ease. I cannot recommend Pearl Optometry enough!

I first visited Dr. Greg Pearl, DO at his Optometry Clinic at Costco in Norwalk back in December 15, 2019, when it was the holidays and it was difficult to find any Optometrists available for Appointments at that time. I was so impressed with the most thorough Eye Exam that I had, that I returned back recently on January 13, 2022 to Dr. Greg Pearl's Optometry Clinic at Costco in Lakewood, which is much closer to home for me. Just like the previous experience, it was easy to book an Appointment online, and the Eye Exam was thorough and a great experience! I would definitely recommend him to others! Scheduling appointment was point on. The office staff are polite, respectful and courteous. The pre-appointment screening was great, no one sitting in the waiting area. I am giving 1 start because I end up paying for my visit after I have insurance. I have MES and the receptionist DID NOt check my eligibility before I see the Dr. she told me to go in without letting me know I was going to pay since my eligibility was going to be until April. She was supposed to let me know why would she do that? That was a rip off for me I was not planning to spend that extra money.

Was very upset with front desk 1 have me information The other have me another I specifically asked if i would get charged more for getting prescription for glasses and contact and even showed my insurance paper of what covers and explain I am not working and do not want to pay me 1 told me no and at end I got charge double for services and nothing extra was done I was upset but didn't get clear answer from either one so i just paid I thought this was unfair I have prescription from my old eye doctor and did not have a need to hey another prescription very upset and will never recommend anyone to go here again Why would they charge me for contact fitting when I have been wearing contact for 20 years makes no sense

Not organized. Front desk girl was unpleasant, which probably explains why another man was upset with her also. I really wish I had gone somewhere else. They didn't even tell me what the next steps were in getting new glasses. I felt like they just wanted me to pay and leave even though I was patient and kept my mouth shut about the horrible time I was having. Get a new front desk person! That girl is a bitch. I wish I had gotten her name.

Dr Pearl and his staff are FABULOUS! Very professional n nice. I had just filled out an updated profile for the dr and had to giggle when he greeted me as Lunch lady. He really read the paper! Lol Dr.Pearl is great, he is thorough. I asked him about a far sighted eye procedure and he told me what he thought. He also told me it was like 3 grand for one eye. YIKES, lol I guess I'll keep my glasses for a while. Thanks Dr. Pearl n his employees!

Making an appointment was easy and painless. They definitely get busy so book yours as soon as you need it. The doctor who saw me was a woman and I can't remember her name but she was great. Patient and listened to all of my concerns. Only down side is the office is small and the waiting area is cramped.

I appreciate that Dr. Pearl was open to giving in-depth explanations and didn't take offense to questions that bordered on skepticism. He also offered multiple options to correct my vision-given that I work in construction; along with the patience to allow me to make a decision with which I was comfortable. Lastly, but not of the least importance, both Dr. Pearl and his staff exhibited great senses of humor…always welcomed when dealing with the encumbrances of aging!

Everything went very well, the only thing I wish different was the fact that there were no trial contact lenses in my prescription but that's no big deal just a minor bump in the road. Overall I think you deserve a solid 5 stars.

I am writing this review on behalf of my mom. This was the very first visit with Dr. Pearl, he and his associates were extremely attentive and helpful to guide my mom through the process of getting the type of lenses she needs (bifocals) furthermore, they are bilingual (English and Spanish) which helped her even more since she only speaks Spanish, and to describe with confidence how she was seeing during the lens testing. In conclusion, We are very pleased with Dr. Greg Pearl and his associates, and we would definitely recommend them with family and friends for future services.

I found the doctor to be very kind and knowledgeable. I appreciate the time she took to explain my situation and the best options for my eye health. However, I am not thrilled with the limited amount of time that the coating on the lenses lasts before it starts to bubble. Costco glasses only last up to two years. I have friends and family members who purchase their glasses through their doctor's that last a lot longer.

The service was good and everyone was friendly, but I had to wait an hour over my appointment time. Had I gotten a call even 15min prior to appt time letting me know they were running behind, I could have stayed in the car while my daughter slept instead of waking her up to be on time. I also wasn't informed of the delay when I checked in... it was not until I had been there 40min and asked when I would be seen. I think most customers would appreciate notice of delay, just as a business expects a customer to be on time. A simple phone call is all it takes. Things happen, which I understand, I'd just like to have known. Even at least when I walked in so I could decide whether to stay or reschedule. Thanks

I was confused. I was told that if the dr. Wanted to dialogue my eyes, I could pay 20 and use a machine and not the drops. This would happen if the dr. Wanted to dilate. Because I checked the box to use the new machine, my eyes were photographed by the machine because I marked the box. I will never know if the dr. Wanted it or not. I was charged 74 instead of 54. Not an honest situation. May not return to Costco. Also, a sub dr. Was there. I did not meet dr. Pearl.

The service is excellent, much better than that of major Hospitals and I have insurance. Yet I chose there vs my hospital cause of my first visit was top quality and service. As far as a change, very little, maybe on-line appointment(s) scheduling (unknown if it is already implemented, I did a walk in scheduling) & a courtesy follow up text or e-mail would be nice. Reality no change great service!
