Most everything is very good at Family Eyecare. I am happy with the service there. The one thing I’m unhappy about from yesterday was the process of deciding what to include on my new glasses. I heard that my insurance covered it. I was asked what I was wanted and numbers generally. It would have been much clearer to be shown, as we went along, how much and for what I was covered. Then shown, as we went along or in summary what each addition cost. The process was not clear.

I feel that all the staff are very knowledgeable and friendly and make you feel you’re old friends, not just a patient. When Dr Hartman left to retire, and rightfully so, I didn’t think I would continue and find a Doctor closer to my home. But Dr Garlick and his staff are worth going to, regardless of the length. Keep up the wonderful business.

The staff was a bit curt during this appointment. I have been coming here for years and it has always been a quick and efficient service and the staff was always friendly and helpful. This time was different and out a bad taste in my mouth.

Everyone at Family EyeCare Associates was very friendly and personable. They seem to enjoy working with each other which is a bonus. The prices of glasses was more affordable here than at another clinic I used to go to (even after insurance, $200+ for glasses). I went on the day of the solar eclipse and they gave me a free pair of eclipse glasses (which I brought with me to my oil change appointment and shared with the mechanic guys and the fellow customers). Scheduling was easy since I'm on "summer break" but once the school year starts, I'm not sure how scheduling will be. Probably good though.

I brought my 4 and 7 year olds for their first eye exams. The entire staff was considerate and helpful. Dr. Garlick and the staff explained every step to my kids. They were patient and even listened to my 4 year old sing for them (because she is as bold as most 4 year olds). They praised the kids the entire time for their behavior. My daughter (4yo) really wanted glasses and Dr. Garlick offered her a disposable pair (she had her eyes dilated) and she was thrilled. I had to convince her the next day to not wear them. They had a great time.

In fact, Dr Hartman kept me from losing eyesight in one eye by recognizing a critical situation. I had a torn retina, but he remained calm the entire time he was setting up an appointment for me. He referred me to a specialist within the hour. I will never forget the expert attention I received and continue to receive to this day. I highly recommend Dr Hartman to all my family and friends with a 5+ star rating.

I've never been to a friendlier eye doctor, or medical practice in general, for that matter. Everyone is caring, friendly, flexible, and informative. I totally trust the care I get at this office. If I've ever had issues with my contacts or glasses, staff responded right away and helped me solve the problem. I've worn glasses since I was about 13 and every eye doctor I've been to has always told me I had mascara on one of my eyes. Dr. Hartman noticed it on my first visit, too, but saw that it was actually a tiny discolored part of my eye. It ended up not being any kind of a problem, but I knew I'd stick with him as my eye doctor when he was able to catch something so tiny that every other doctor had missed. Also, the ladies there helped me pick out some pretty cute frames that I get complimented on all the time.

I have been receiving eye care from this doctor's office since I was in high school. I'm now 32 and I don't want to go anywhere else. Service is friendly, professional and timely. The only reason they receive a four and not a five star rating is because my most recent visit was not up to the typical "standard" I'm use to in Dr. Hartman's office. It still was a pretty darn good experience. You can't even BUY quality medical experiences anymore! Lol.

My son had 20/600 vision before seeing Dr. Hartman a couple of years ago. With two visits he is corrected to 20/25 with the hope of 20/20 at our next visit. We were told by the local Optometrist that my son was correctable to 20/100 and that was as good as we could expect. I would give Dr. Hartman and his staff an A+++ and look forward to seeing him in a year. Thank you Dr.

From the moment I walked in till I finally left the office, I felt as everyone in the office cared about my specific needs, since I am legally blind and rely on using a white cane to get about. Some in the office could benefit from receiving "disability sensitivity" training so that they can better serve the clientele who might be visually impaired.

Staff is friendly. I did get an incorrect contact lens prescription last visit, but close enough that it was not a big problem. I would give my experiences at Erick Hartman's Eye Clinic five stars. I think the staff is excellent. Everyone in the office makes an attempt to make sure I feel comfortable. They try to arrange their schedule around my schedule. Dr. Hartman refers to his notes and asks if the problems I had in the past are still there. He allows time for me to ask questions and answers them. The little bowl of candy is always nice too. :)

I had a difficult time adjusting to my last glasses and the office worked with me, they are always very nice on the phone. I also had to have a surgical procedure and they worked to get me in to the specialist immediately. Now my eyes are as good as new.

If you want eye care from an office whose staff is friendly,courteous and serving,along with knowledgeable and efficient, Family Eye Care Associates is the one. Dr. Hartman spent time not only examing my eyes,but explaining what the problem was and what the solution is. They also have a great selection of up dated glasses to choose from.And staff there that help you find a pair that fit your face and your style. The office in whole is a rarity today.

If you are anywhere in the greater Puget Sound area, it's worth your time to visit Dr. Hartman. Very flexible hours, easy to schedule, text/email appt reminders all make your experience positive. Dr. Hartman's exam was excellent and as thorough as any exam I have received since living in Washington. I do question the ethic of his pricing on contact fitting in comparison to other physicians in the area as well as charging prior to the fitting rather than after the work has been completed.

About a year ago I had to find a new eye dr due to my current retiring. I was referred to Dr. Hartman by my retired eye dr. And I'm singled he did, I have always been treated amazing during any of my visits. The day I had to pick out eye glasses was do much fun, the girls made it a eye fashion show and I am so happy even a yea later with the glasses I ended up choosing. Dr Hartmann hours are flexible with my work scedual as well. Never want to switch eye care facility's :-)
