I went to Paul Vision today to get a new prescription. I did not get one, and that was EXACTLY the correct result, even though it was not what I initially thought should happen. Because of some problems with tear production in my eyes, it was not possible to reliably get a good prescription, because results changed each time I blinked. I was given some eyedrops to use for 3 weeks and then return for a follow-up appointment. If these drops don't get the job done, we will try other actions. My doctor was almost apologetic about what he wanted me to do, but he was absolutely correct and looking out for my best interests. Instead of just selling me new glasses with a probably faulty prescription, he showed he was more interested in fixing ALL of my problem, and getting me a prescription and glasses that will actually work well, even though some time will need to pass with these old glasses. I greatly appreciate this professionalism and dedication to the best result.

I am new to the area and had just had a procedure done in NJ which some problems happened. Even though I was cleared by my dr in NJ. I had some concerns that the problem had come back. I was so impressed that I could get an appointment immediately with Casey Krug and she throughly checked me and put me at ease. She advised me to use some eye drops several times a day and the use of an eye pad. Within a few days I felt like old self again. I recommend Paul Vision 100%.

My overall rating is a nine based on Dr. Paul's attention, knowledge and level of comfort. My only complaint is that when I called the receptionist for an appointment, I clearly asked if they accepted United Healthcare insurance for my exam and she replied yes with no other disclaimer or specifics in relation to the service of an exam. At the completion of my exam, I was asked to pay a $50 copay when my vision plan states $10 copay, and the exam costs should be covered 100% This is when i was told they only file medical claims with UHC and my exam would be $404 total. Not an acceptable practice to mislead or misinform the client in this case. I do not feel that I should be absorbing this costly mistake and would like some sort of resolution form the institute. I was so pleased that I had scheduled a visit with Dr. Paul while he was in Charlotte, NC. He was such a nice person in addition to being so knowledgeable. He will tell you the truth and not beat around the bush about whether he can help you cannot help you. He is a low vision specialist but is very up-to-date and aware of other issues with the eye. I would highly recommend that anyone with low vision to make an appointment. It can't hurt; it can only help.

I approached the appointment telling myself not to be excited. Dr. Paul's first question was what would you like to happen. I said I would love to drive again, see my friends faces and know who they were, and see the birds at my feeders. He examined my eyes, took some magic lens from his case and put them together for a test, and i could see. It was a tremendous excitement. Dr. Bridgman really put me at ease about my eye appointment. She answered all my questions concerning my eyes, as my father had some serious eye disorders, which made me somewhat anxious. She is very knowledgeable, with a very pleasant disposition. In fact, the entire office staff makes you feel welcome, and are glad to assist and help you preserve your vision. I am writing this review during the Co-vid 19 pandemic, and I must say that the entire office was clean and sanitized. The nurse assistant also wiped everything down with disinfectant wipes again before starting my eye exam.

As a scleral lens wearer, it’s challenging to find a lens fitter who is knowledgeable and local. I have a number of eye issues and Dr. Sara Brigman listened to my concerns, had some good answers and she, herself asked good questions. The office is lovely and comfortable and the Paul Vision Institute staff wasl friendly and professional. The pleasant surprise part? I was able to get in the next day, my appointment was on time and didn’t take a couple hours.

My wait time from the time of my actual appointment was quite short, perhaps 5 minutes. But since I had an early time and had never been to this location I arrived early so I did wait for about 20 minutes, but it was not due to any problem with the office, only that I am a bit OCD about being on time.

The facility is quite impressive with a lovely waiting area. The optical equipment appears to be state of the art; images of both of my retinas were displayed on a pair of large computer screens, enabling my doctor to show me relevant features. Dr. Brigman has been seeing me and my wife for the past few years and when she moved to thr Paul institute we followed her. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the institute.

When I filled out the paperwork in the waiting room, I expected those concerns to be addressed. I had to ask about the discharge, it was not addressed until I asked. The pain I feel in my eye ball was also not addressed. My concern was a possible side effect of medication I take. I assume that is the reason for the medication list. I also asked about the cost of progressive lenses for cost. I would not be able to fill my subscription in your practice since your prices begin at $495.00. If I recommended to a friend I would have to share that information as well. Office staff and Dr. Paul were delightful other than the issue I spoke of.

Early Friday morning I was experiencing some sight problems in my right eye. I had a accident a few days earlier which could have related to this blurred vision in my right eye. I called Paul Vision Center and the receptionist worked to have me seen within the hour. Every staff member that I saw and spoke to in the office was most helpful and considerate. Dr. Paul diagnosed my 95 year old Dad for macular degeneration, whereas, the last regular eye doctor he saw early this year did not catch this. He also wrote a prescription for eye vitamins and gave us a discount coupon link on the internet to order the prescription at a reasonable cost. Dr. Paul truly cares about his patients. Excellent doctors who provide the best of care and only what they professionally believe is necessary. The technicians are very well versed on the procedures/tests they are performing and answer all questions regarding the tests. If specialist provider outside of their practice is required, they immediately call for the referral appointment. I had need of a retinal specialist and within ten minutes was on my way to the specialist. Highly recommend this practice.

I love Dr. Brigman: followed her from her former practice. Her assistant, Kristy is wonderful. Great explanations and customer service. However.....the girls at the checkout seemed new. My visit was processed and debited $400, so I asked about my insurance coverage and all three young ladies just looked at me. (I gave the desk team my insurance cards when I checked in.) They did process a refund and provided a receipt but when I asked for the $400 sale receipt I was told I couldn’t get one. (But I received a refund receipt....?) Perhaps the desk team needs more training.... Cilinical staff was great!
