Dr. Mellish has always been friendly, helpful, and thoroughly professional. He instills a sense of trust in his patients with his obvious expertise, which is combined with an engaging sense of humor, so that an eye exam or procedure is not stressful. He takes care that his equipment is up to date, and his technicians are well-trained. Receptionists are very friendly and make patients feel welcome. I recommend Dr. Mellish and his staff to anyone looking for a good local optometrist. We are fortunate to have him here in Williamstown.

Been taking my son Tyler to Dr. Mellish for the past two years. Tyler is Autistic and the Doctor and his staff are wonderful with him. Whenever their was an issue with his glasses, I was told to come right in and the issue was addressed.

Great visit as always. I've known and went to school with Dr. Dave since the fourth grade, 1964. Every time I go, it's like a school reunion. Sandy and Donna are the most down to earth and friendly doctors' office staff, I've ever dealt with. They've been there for years, which says a lot about the way the Doc takes care of them.

A very friendly staff greets you right as you walk in. I was able to look at frames while waiting for Dr. Mellish (which was only a few minutes). The process was quick and easy and he got my prescription correct right away. I will be back again

The whole office is amazing! From the girls up front, that check you in & call you to remind you. ALL of them are very personable: the highest level of customer service. The doctor himself is quite entertaining, efficient and all in the same stride keeps you laughing the whole time...It's not a doctor's appointment you dread having to go to, rather, you enjoy yourself the whole time you're there!!!

I request my script for my contact prescription 3xtimes or more from the doctor n was denied this request , I felt pressured to buy contacts from him which I explained my funds were very low , However he did give me a discount but I only will get one box , w o a different prescription from my other eye n can't afford the other box with a different prescription for the other eye !That was not a good experience n felt that that visit was all about money n not about my medical health for my eyes . I left there paying $178.00 n receiving one box , yet I have 2 different prescriptions for my eyes ,If I had my prescription which I feel I paid for it then I should of been given it , I could of save a lot of money n received the corrects prescription for both eyes w cheaper contacts ,I have been a patience there for over 10yrs n my son is a patients there also I am discouraged to return there money should not be the primary issue So upset.

I had been having problems with my left eye for months. Persistent redness and itching. I had seen another South Jersey eye doctor about four times with no answers. I feel like he didn't pay much attention to me, or do much at all to help my anxiety. That's when I found Dr. Mellish. I've seen him twice in the last week and already my eye is looking better. He sat with me, answered all f the questions I had and even some things I didn't realize I needed to know. I highly recommend him to anyone. Now my whole family is going to be going there.

Dr Mellish and his office staff were all very accommodating and very thorough, doing everything that was necessary to make my visit enjoyable. I felt very confident in Dr. Mellish's examination techniques knowing that my eyes were in good hands. He took the time to explain everything to me. My husband and I have been going to Dr. Mellish for years now and it's always a pleasant experience. The staff is friendly and accommodating. We are always taken at the time of our appointment, or even early, if possible. Dr. Mellish is warm and friendly. He makes you feel at ease and before you know it, you're finished. The eyeglass selection is good and the staff is there to help if you have any questions, but they don't harass you or push you into anything either. We highly recommend Dr. Mellish!!!

Dr. Mellish is a delightful man and makes my yearly checkup as simple and comfortable as possible. He has a great sense of humor and is easy to talk to. The office staff is very friendly and on top of things!!! I didn't wait at all. Was in and out. The waiting room is outdated ,but wo cares. Frames are a little higher and they don't have a two for $69 ( all my kids needed glasses, so it adds up we just got the script),but luckily I have Good insurance and didn't need glasses.

Regarding #2: The only problem was when the solution was put into my eyes to dilate the pupils, I wish I had been told beforehand that I would have some compromised vision for anywhere from 2-8 hours. Since I had not had this procedure done before, the blurry vision scared me, and I worried that my eyes might not go back to normal. Everything is ok now, though.

I very much appreciate the feeling that my health is a priority that is placed above the financial bottom line of the practice.
