Excellent care and so accommodating with schedules. When I cracked a tooth, Dr Winick spoke to me right away and had me come in for an assessment. He explained what had happened, what conditions he was seeing, and patiently set out my options. I was able to make a decision with which I was comfortable. He began the corrective work immediately and he has followed up to make sure that all goes well. Dr Winick and his team are wonderfully patient and caring.

Everything about my visit exceeded my expectations and calmed my fears about going to the dentist. I was greeted by every single person with kindness and care. Dr. Winnick explained every part of my visit and took the time to make sure I understood everything. I greatly appreciate that this office views dental health holistically and seeks to restore health rather than just fix problems.

Betsy was excellent as always. Extremely thorough,- measured the pocket depth, cleaned the teeth, and did a microbial analysis. Lots of recommendations for probiotics, better hygiene, etc. The cleaning is expensive, but there is not another office in the tri-state area that is going to do such an excellent job. Well worth the investment in your teeth,- and your overall health.

I started coming to Dentistry For Health on August 3, 2016. I came for my second visit on August 18, 2016. I am very impressed by the wonderful care I have received to date. The entire staff is very friendly and helpful. Dr. Winick really cares about his patients and takes time to explain everything. The atmosphere is very warm and inviting and has an aura of being very healthy.

Nancy did a wonderful job of cleaning my teeth. She made the transition from Tammi as smooth as possible. Nancy was very careful, thorough, and respectful of my needs. Her assistant was very nice. The gentleman who did the xrays was also excellent. He had several techniques that made it easy and comfortable. As always, I appreciated that Dr. Winick was on hand to check my teeth, and answer questions.

I love your office and Nicole is a fabulous hygienist . However your desk service has deteriorated . It took my 4/(5 phone calls to get through to ask for an appointiment . It was an exercise in frustration , being put on hold for 15 plus min more than once , being cut off , being passed to another receptionist and having to start over . I almost gave up and went back to my old dentist despite how much better I think you all are . At last a manager helped me . Another complaint . I received a text saying time for my 3 mos appointment but when I called there were no appointments available !! Can the reminders go out a month in advance so one can get an appointment . I arrived 150 to be polite for my 2 pm yesterday with Nicole. I went right to desk and said to three people at desk , I'm pam Doyle here for my 2 pm with Nicole. They said they would let her know . I sat there til 220 when finally someone apoaretalky let Nicole know I was there . She had been free since I arrived

Totally amazing experience with the Hygienist Nancy and the Dental Assistant Denise. Nancy is always very professional, caring and gentle, very passionate about her work. Since I like to relax she always puts on the Bratz videos and accomodates me to feel as comfortable as possible. The front desk is always so nice and professional as well. Kudos to Dr. Winick for have such a great staff working for him

My latest visit was with Nancy (hygienist.) She is very knowledgable and thorough. She listens and respects my decisions. By following her advice, my dental health has improved tremendously! At each visit, she's given me clear measurements of how each of my teeth is doing. I didn't improve as much at the second visit because I only followed half of her recommendations. For my third visit (yesterday) I made sure to follow her advice. Well, almost all of my teeth are now in the healthy range! Because I clearly saw the difference, I'm very excited and committed to keep up my current oral health routine, so their method has long-term benefits. My previous dentist (from a conventional practice) told me he was going to do a root canal in one of my molars. I'm so glad I didn't stay with him!! That molar no longer hurts and is completely healthy! What a difference.

"Dentistry for Health & Team" is a very special place with a very special team members. Long ago, I had a Periodontist, DDS who I liked very much and was a faculty member at a major dental school/university. However, he really wasn't helpful with my periodontal problem. Tammy knows more than he did/does and has been miraculously helpful to me besides being so delightful. I will miss her mucho, mucho as she transitions out of her perio work to her greater interest. We've had nothing but great care at Dentristry for Health. Where I have wondered if other dentists were really telling me the full picture or if they were trying to take advantage of me, I feel like I get the whole picture, and when my son needed extensive treatment, the work came at under half of the original estimate - as Dr. B. could see what the true situation was as she progressed. I can't recommend this office enough.

I have been seeing Dr. Winick and his team, including Nancy, and I have nothing but great things to say about them. I stopped going to my old practice because he said I might need a root canal. Um, no thank you. Dr. Winick said I DON'T need a root canal. My visit was a learning experience, I now understand so much about delta health and how to prevent problems and revert current issues. Their holistic approach makes such a difference. I also take my 2-year-old daughter to the office, to see Dr. Birkenfeld. She's so funny and smart and lovely. My daughter loves her! Yes, my toddler loves going to the dentist. Just an amazing dental office.

Just some thoughts. I often leave the dentist's office feeling like a failure. This got worse, that's in bad shape, you're going to have x problem in the future. It's an experience for me of feeling like a failure and also feeling shame. It would be nice if positive feedback were shared. As well as an understanding of larger health problems existing which are pre-occupying the patient. I love your office. These concerns are not unique to coming there. Just general feedback for a more empathic, positively focused environment. Thank you.

I haven't spent much time with the dentist--this is my first visit, and I'm still very nervous. But I was treated very well, received excellent care. The fillings and x rays were pain free, and the charges were reasonable. I haven't had a serious dental problem yet, so I can't evaluate what would happen if I needed to redo a gold crown. But so far my experience is excellent.

Everyone was very nice. It was my first holistic dental appointment and it was very comprehensive. Dr Winnick is very nice. Very interested. My only suggestion is that I came away without a clear sense of what's next. I had some kind of bacteria pre screen. I thought it was the actual test. But apparently I'll have to have another one. Some written materials about what they learned about me and what they recommend next would be helpful. It was a big investment but I am sure I'm in good hands.

We found Dr. Richter to be highly experienced, friendly and careful to get all the information he needs at hand before making a recommendation on a complex case. We did not review financial options with us because he requires time to examine the x-rays made by previous dentists before moving to that stage.

I have been going to Dentistry for Health for several years now. My husband and son are also patients. We have never had more through and all-encompassing dental care anywhere. We have had other health issues identified at DFH for which we were referred to other health professionals. Its amazing that our dentist was the first to identify these issues that if not dealt with, could have lead to more serious problems. Wow, that is what I call Holistic dentistry! You can't really go wrong at DFH.

You get the best of both worlds with Dr. Reid Winick of Dentistry for Health New York. Dr. Winick has all the traditional knowledge of dentistry, but also understand the advantages of holitic treatments. He's a superb technician, empathetic, explains what he's doing, has the wonderful Marsha assisting him, and a great office staff. Tammy is a fantiastic dental hygienist. I've gone to this office for years, and am grateful they are in NYC.

In one exam topics reviewed include microbes in slides, x-rays, sleep history/sleep apnea, oil pulling, toxicity to mettles, gum degeneration and more- You will walk out with a new understanding of what this profession is supposed to encompass, befuddled on why so many DR's do not follow this health protocol. Dr. Winick's practice goes beyond the norm.

Coming into the office was a bit of a shock -- the whole reception team was new and all the dental assistants were new! Record-keeping seems to be sloppy -- inquired about my insurance claims to be told they were filed with the wrong insurance company!!

I was referred, by a friend, to this office because I was looking for good dental care with a doctor who understood naturalistic principles. I found so much more. Whether you are interested in people versed in the latest naturalistic methods or just excellent dental care it is available here. I have been a satisfied patient here for many years. My dental health has soared over time. All aspects of dental health are seen to. The atmosphere is beyond pleasant and helpful.

It was wonderful to find a dentist with a great personality to make you feel at ease. It is a nice clean office with congenial staff but the real star is Dr. Winnick himself. He explains fully what is going on with your teeth and shows you with his software how deep your cavities if any are. On top of it all he referred me to another doctor to help fix a bigger problem that was not in his field. I am very pleased.

My chief concern is getting to the front desk and being confronted with an enormous bill for services that were offered but whose cost were never explained. I prefer you suggest a procedure, explain why it is important, and tell me the cost, so I make an informed decision. I do not like financial surprises. And, having made that decision, I insulted by a suggestion I sign a document holding you blameless for my decision. It may make you feel better but it smacks of quite inferior customer service. Frankly, I leave asking myself why I return. I return because your have an intriguing bundle of naturopathic services. I am disappointed when I return because of the customer service around the financial aspects.
