Doctors Vincent and Henderson have treated both of our boys for multiple issues. On our first visit to their office many years ago, Dr. Henderson immediately recognized and diagnosed a serious condition that had plagued our older son and which two other local orthopedic doctors had failed to identify. Dr. Henderson literally saved our son's basketball career by identifying the issue in time to allow for a full recovery. Great staff, organized office, and most importantly, the best orthopedic care for children/young adults available. There are many other things for which you might be advised to go to Phoenix or another large metropolitan area for better medical care, but pediatric orthopedic care is not one of them thanks to Children's Orthopedic Specialists.

Doctor and the rest of the staff was great. The wait was long since we waited over an hour to be seen by the doctor. The waiting room and exam room were very cold and made for an uncomfortable wait. A little strange our appointment day and time was picked for us instead of us working out a time. Luckily, we have flexible schedules.

This used to be an awesome clinic. Dr Henderson was curt and did not review our sons medical history and questioned our history of what had happened to bring us to his office. “It doesn’t look as bad as I’d expect”. When we asked about another joint that our son complained of pain in we were asked “did you tell anyone else about it” and were then dismissed.

The staff, start to finish, were lovely. We were warmly welcomed, checked in, walked back to a patient room (within minutes), greeted by the doctor, had all of our questions genuinely answered, and were casted so seamlessly. The bedside manner of every individual made the visit a lovely experience for an unpleasant reason.

This office was great all around. From getting scheduled over the phone and the reminders for the appt. Using the patient portal made the new patient appt check in a breeze. We were previously with another ortho and they made the whole appt feel transactional and never really explain things clearly. So coming to this office and having Dr Vincent Kent and his assistant explain everything and take the time to talk to my kid and myself was great.

Dr. Vincent and his staff were fantastic. Our appointment was on time and staff were friendly and efficient. Dr. Vincent is fabulous with kids and parents. I like that he spoke directly to our daughter and he explained her medical issues to her and to us in a way that we could all understand. Dr Vincent was so wonderful! The only complaint was the wait…. We got there early and still didn’t get in until about 45 minutes after the scheduled appointment time. Still staff was friendly and my son was treated very well.

Dr. Vincent is fantastic! He made my son (14) feel very comfortable and actually involved him in what he was doing by explaining the injury and what his treatment was meant to do. Pros- Dr Vincent was wonderful. Educated us very well on our child’s fracture and told us everything we needed to know. Cons- extremely repetitive forms from the front office. 3 forms- one is about insurance. If we already provided our insurance card, I’m not sure why this form needs to be given again. Another is about the accident that caused the fracture. As soon as you go in the room, the MA asks all these same questions again. It would be convenient for the MA to retrieve the form from the front office or to eliminate the intake form.

My daughter recently had a spinal fusion for scoliosis. I was so impressed by Dr. Vincent with not only his years of experience and medical knowledge but his understanding of emotions behind such a big surgery and diagnosis. He is such a blessing to the Tucson community! He treated my child as if it was his own. He really does care about his patients and really connects with the child as well as the parents and takes his time to explain everything and does not seem to rush through appointments which is really important. Dr. Vincent came highly recommended for my child who is quite chatty and inquisitive during appointments. From the moment he walked through the door, I completely understood the referral. His energy was amazing and you can tell he absolutely loves his job! It took almost a year to finally get the care my son needed due to getting the run around and non-follow up up. My sons pre op appt was scheduled without my knowing as I found out the week before appt via text reminder. My husband and I had to work so we authorized his grandparent to take him only to find out a parent was expected to be present. The authorization form we signed granting the grandparents permission to take him to appts was either not accepted or not found so had to redo a form. Additionally since no one communicated to us a parent had to sign paper work my husband had to take off work to sign paperwork. This whole ordeal added so much frustration which could’ve been avoided.

Front office was very friendly and was able to get me in a month early after a cancellation. The resident assistant and Dr. Vincent were able to diagnose my son's "mystery injury" on his knee. Turned out to be an uncommon injury for kids but somehow my son accomplished it. They listened to all my questions, were very thorough in checking out his knee and asking more questions about it. Dr. Vincent was friendly but professional and explained everything in detail. I highly recommend him and his staff!

The office visit was clean and had toys and a movie for little kids to enjoy. The staff was friendly, took care of us quickly, and was helpful with any questions. The only thing I thought was strange was upon exiting with my next appointment card, there was a green paper attached that detailed the billing information. The reason I found this strange is that the card clearly states that you will begin being billed upon your first visit (for fractures, specifically) and are expected to pay IN FULL any co-pay, or out-of-pocket cost that you may have incurred PRIOR to your next appointment. I found this strange because they said nothing about billing when I scheduled the appointment or when I arrived for it, or at any point when we were waiting to be seen. That means that they put a full CAST on my child's arm and then after were like, hey, FYI, we're not going to see her to take that off until you pay us. I am not complaining about being billed. I understand how insurance works, I understand that the offices need to be paid. What I am struggling to understand is why they would provide this information AFTER care had already been established. Who does that help? Who benefits from being sneaky about billing? Hmm. I say this all as something to consider prior to being seen - I also add this as something for the office staff to ponder and possibly consider what other options are available - perhaps, being up-front about costs instead of throwing it at the patient on their way out the door? Maybe. Thank you!

Great place for the kiddos. They took great care of both of my boys on two different occasions. This last visit was for my 16 yo and still had great care! We saw Dr. Vincent for the first time and wow, would definitely go back. He was very welcoming and wanted to know about my child and his interests. He directed questions to my child and not just me. Dr. Vincent and his staff were all amazing. He took the time to get to know my daughter and her injury. He was able to explain in simple terms what was happening to her knee, show us on a model as well as draw it so we could understand the problem and the resolution. He was thorough in assessing her injury and he answered all of our questions. This office is fantastic - they saw us very quickly when my son broke his leg. We saw Dr. Henderson and he was very helpful explaining our son's injury, the healing process, and answering the questions we had. His nurses/assistants were all great at helping my son feel comfortable and safe, even with the pain he was feeling. Alex (I believe his name is) really has a way with kids and was very reassuring and gentle with my son being scared. He also was obviously knowledgeable about putting the cast on and did it so quickly. When dealing with a 3 year old with a broken leg, all of this is so very important. Cannot recommend this office enough!

Dr. Henderson is a class act. He’s been following my daughter’s scoliosis for about two years, and has taken care of her gymnastics and cheerleading injuries as well during that time. The support staff is excellent. Insurance questions were all addressed before I even thought to ask. My son was recently injured and I had no second thoughts about bringing him to Children’s Ortho.

Absolute best experience! I called to schedule an appointment for my daughter to have her ankle assessed as she suffered from an injury playing soccer a few days prior. Not only was the office able to get her in to see the doctor the same day but we also did not wait long in the waiting room either. The doctor we saw was very friendly, professional and experienced. The front desk staff were also very friendly, polite and helpful. I would definitely recommend the specialty doctor/office that we saw to anybody.

We came in for a broken arm, and we were super stressed knowing we might need surgery. Dr. Vincent was so knowledgeable and kind, that we were immediately put at ease. Not only did we feel better, but he knew how to manipulate the bones at the break, so that surgery was not necessary!! What a relief to find an "old fashioned" doctor who cares more about his patients than the insurance companies interest. I VERY HIGHLY recommend Dr. Vincent for any and all children's orthopedic needs. I cannot say enough good things, truly I am emotional thinking about how he took care of us, ALL the staff were wonderful. Everyone was so kind and NOT rushed...this is the opposite at the "big" hospitals in Tucson, we had the same break with a much different outcome 4 years ago.

Children's Orthopedic Specialists are the best. My child is a gymnast and very active. She recently broke her ankle and we were able to schedule an appointment the day after the injury occurred, get an MRI and get her diagnosed all within two days. The office staff was very sincere and caring when scheduling the initial appointment. Most mothers are quite anxious when dealing with their child that is hurt and they completely took away any worries about getting in to see a doctor quickly and ensuring all the paperwork was completed so there would not be any hold ups. I always have complete confidence taking my child to their office.

Dr. and front receptionist was wonderful, hours for x-ray only being Monday morning, very inconvenient to kids in school and parents who work. Being a office specialists with children, x-ray should be available more than a four hour block once a week. With this being my daughter’s first appointment and first broken bone we were nervous and unsure what to expect. From the moment we walked in the staff was absolutely great! The front desk lady was nice and checked us in with no hassle at all. The MA and xray tech were super friendly and calmed my daughter nerves. We love this office! Everyone is so sweet and friendly and makes you feel like you have known them your whole life. They were great with our almost 3 year old daughter and tried their best to make her feel comfortable in a scary and painful situation.

I was surprised to get such a quick appointment but greatful. My granddaughter was very nervous but you made her feel comfortable at her Appts. Girls at front desk very nice with very thing going on it’s sometimes hard to have a smile Take care God bless

We have had nothing but positive experiences with this practice, beginning with an emergency surgery done two days before Christmas through a follow up surgery two years later. Dr. Vincent spends all the time parents want explaining procedures and results in understandable language and is very approachable for our son (teen). Thank you for a job very well done.

We drive 1-1/2hrs one-way to see Dr Vincent. He and his staff are personable and accommodating to younger patients. Can't imagine using another doctor for children's orthopedics.

We came in because my child has pain in her feet with running. Xrays were taken in office. Both physicians that saw her were amazing at talking directly to her, explaining everything about having high arches and answering her questions. Of course I had my questions answered as well.

Having seven children, I spend more time than most in an orthopedist’s office. We are fortunate in Tucson to have access to several very good orthopedic surgeons to choose from. Dr. Vincent stands out for several reasons. My teenaged daughter described him as ‘totally chill’.😃 His office is clean and efficiently managed. He has begun each appt with a personal conversation with my child. With our most recent bone break, we were in and out in 45 min!, but never felt rushed 😃 He has a great balance of professionalism and personal rapport. I have never had such a amazing experience at a doctors office before. Especially a surgeons!! Everyone was so nice and helpful! Dr Vincent took the time and effort to explain my daughter's Scoliosis problem to us in details and specifically looked my daughter in the eye to make sure she understood Scoliosis and her own body. He was animated and cheerful and that relieved built up anxiety in the cold and quiet room, patient with my extremely reserved girl, very assuring and like a very good teacher, went the extra mile of giving her a talk without leaving the room until he was sure we were much clearer about my daughter's case now than before we met him. He even shared past and present researches and technology and gave us a rather detailed insight into what may be the next course of action even though my daughter's situation hasn't gotten that bad at this point when I asked, and still assured us that we went ahead of her current condition. He's more than a doctor. He's a teacher and truly loves and cares for his patients and what he does.

Everything was a wonderful experience from the check in process to the waitung room to meeting Dr Vincent! The girls at the front were very polite and fast. And the waiting room was very clean and plenty of seating room. And Dr Vincents nurse was very polite and knowlegable.Dr Vincent was great! He came in and intoduced himself to us all and shook hands with my grandson who is 10. He spoke with my grandson like an adult and asked him all the questions about what was going on with his heels. He was very thourough and gave us a diagnosis and gave us a plan for treatment. He gave us time and didnt hurry and spent as much ti.e as needed and asked at the end if any of us had any questions. Overall it was a good experience.

I love Children's Orthopedic Specialists! Both of my kids have had broken arms and they were so amazing! We have also had a few close calls and so they are so good at squeezing us in just for our piece of mind. They are always right on time with the appointments, you aren't waiting and waiting like other offices. The staff is so friendly too, they make you feel very welcomed! Any time I have a friend whose child has any type of orthopedic issue I always recommend their office. We have seen Dr. Vincent and Dr. Henderson and they are both very good with kids, kind and compassionate! I wouldn't take my boys any other place!

Great experience. The front desk was friendly and quick. We waited for awhile in the room, but to be expected at a specialist. Dr. Vincent was amazing. He was so friendly and informative, I really felt like I learned alot after our appointment. He had a great rapport with our daughter as well.
