Dr Chi's dental work was excellent. It didn't even feel like my #7 tooth was being extracted. Her personalty makes it a real pleasure to have to come to an oral surgeon! The after care I was advised to administer at home has worked wonders. Now I don't look forward to my liquid and soft diets.

Dr. Chi was great at explaining the procedure to me and answering all my questions and was available after my procedure to answer concerns. The procedure went smoothly and healing process was great. The staff were all friendly, just the receptionist at the front desk was slightly impatient to any and all questions, not really receptive or patient to further questions so sorting through insurance concerns before scheduling my procedure was a struggle. However everything got figured out in the end so I am appreciative to everyone for their help!

The office staff were organized and efficient. I was able to obtain an appointment for an initial consult about my wisdom teeth within a week. Due to another’s cancellation, I was able to schedule the extraction of my four wisdom teeth a week later. The doctor is very kind and knowledgeable. After the procedure, I used Motrin, Tylenol and Ice for the pain. I took the prescribed antibiotic and followed the detailed recovery instructions. The doctor followed up twice by phone to check on my recovery. I was very pleased with the treatment and care from Center City Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Dr. Chi is very professional and thorough. Her office is extremely clean. I was pleased about that. My experience was a good with the exception of the hidden fees. I wasn’t told in advance of a required X-ray ($357 ) and was charged an additional $100 on the day of. I didn’t like that my receipt said I paid $77 instead of $100. I asked for a corrected receipt and was ignored. This office is a good practice but all fees should be discussed with the patient up front.

The dental over all services is thoroughly explained in expenses to read and know how much for everything. The welcoming as you come in is good and they know you to say hi and are courteous to when you will be seen and be seated comfortably while you wait. The doctor is very professional and explains everything to make you feel less afraid and understand everything what will happen and how it will be done to be at ease. Assistance are very helpful with the doctor and the persuaders and make you feel comfortable and are pleasant.

Very good customer service. Very fast process to get consultation and starting procedure. I will say, while I had a good experience, I was anxious because I didn’t have a good understanding of what teeth needed to be removed, or even my situation such as whether my teeth were impacted or not; I’m confident that I wasn’t told. I only saw my teeth on the X-ray and personally noted one of my teeth “looked” impacted, but wasn’t actually told. Also follow-up call I didn’t get any walk through the itemized Bill. In other words just got a final amount with no walkthrough of what the procedure was, what the costs were, and how long it would take. I understand I should have been more proactive in asking questions, but it was my first surgical experience that I organized as an independent so I didn’t know what questions to ask. In the future please be more proactive in explaining what my case is and why my bill is the way it is. I still had a good experience so definitely 4-5 stars.

I just want to thank the wonderful staff and Dr. Chi in their amazing work to get my wisdom teeth out in a very timely manner (it was long overdue). The procedure went very smoothly, they explained what to do before to prepare, and after to ensure a full recovery. I did some research before to find the best oral surgeon in Philadelphia and I read a lot of good reviews on this place and I concur with all the positive reviews that were left from other patients. I’m on day 4 after my surgery and it is going a lot better than expected (everyone’s recovery will differ). It gives you a peace of mind knowing that you’re in good hands from a very skilled oral surgeon and assistant with numerous surgeries under their belt. I will definitely recommend all my friends and family to this location.

I am in the process of having an implant procedure with Dr. Chi. Aside from the usual pain and annoying things in caring for the stitches and implant post it has been a fantastic experience. Dr. Chi and her staff always follow up, are there in the event there's a problem, and have made this a successful implant procedure. I have had appointments during the pandemic and have never felt unsafe in the office because the staff follows stringent safety and cleaning protocols. I was referred to Dr. Chi by my sister who had all of her wisdom teeth extracted at once by Dr. Chi. Except for a few days of swelling and some pain her procedure went perfectly.

I could not sing the praises of Dr. Chi and her staff any higher. I might not need to write this since Dr. Chi and her staff already have so many glowing reviews, but it feels important to thank them for their incredible work and decorum. I have had bad experiences with surgeons and dentists before and was very nervous about my wisdom tooth extraction, but Dr. Chi and her staff went out of their way to make my experience incredibly comfortable. Everything was explained thoroughly and modifications were made easily based on my needs. They also went very far out of their way to hold an appointment for me when challenges arose. I never thought an oral & maxillofacial surgery would be able to impress me so much but everyone who works there is incredible!

I cannot say anything bad about this office. Dr Chi and her staff are awesome and go above and beyond for a patient. Dr Chi is very knowledgeable, explains everything and loves what she does. My 3 teeth extractions and bone graft went well and the office even called the next day to check on me. I have some time before everything will be completed (getting implants) but I am sure it will turn out great. I would highly recommend Dr Chi for your dental needs.

My procedure included having an implant placed in my jaw for a crown. There was no pain whatsoever from my procedure. It was as if I just had a cleaning. Dr. Chi is extremely competent and patient centric. The only downside to my experience was the coordination between my insurance and the office administration.

I got all 4 of my wisdom teeth out here. I was really nervous leading up to it since I'd never had any surgeries before and had never experienced anesthesia. I'm so glad I came across Dr. Chi in my research of oral surgeons. Immediately after the surgery, I woke up feeling clear minded, and though I took the day easy, I felt as if I could continue my day as normal. I was back to work the following day! I followed her instructions post surgery and hardly experienced any swelling and no bruising. I also never experienced any pain, just mild discomfort, and I only took the ibuprofen she prescribed (as opposed to the addictive pain killers I was really nervous about). Dr. Chi was really attentive and listened to my concerns about my TMJ. I asked her to be mindful not to force my mouth open too far, and it's obvious that she was very careful. I have had no jaw pain, only limited mobility for the first couple days following the surgery. I am very pleased with my experience here and have already recommended that my brother (who is 8 hours away from Philadelphia) make a trip to get his wisdom teeth removed here too!

For as undesirable it is to have have any type of surgery my experience with Center City Oral & Maxillofacial was above all expectations. Dr. Chi is one of the most qualified oral surgeons I've met. I had to get all 4 of my impacted teeth out (I'm in my late twenties), and I went to a total of three consultations before I settled on Dr. Chi. She was the oral surgeon that was the most qualified, and she walked me through the process, recovery time, as well as potential complications during my consultation. I scheduled an appointment, but unfortunately got sick a week before and wasn't sure if I should cancel. I called the office to ask, and they gave the message to Dr. Chi. She later called me at 6 pm that night to ask me about my symptoms and then rescheduled my appointment. Her MD and DMD provide her with a set of expertise that is rare for an oral surgeon. The entire surgery was over in about an hour, and I did not get any of the potential complications she mentioned during my consultation. She is highly skilled at what she does, she cares about her patients, and she takes the time to answer their questions. During Day 4, I thought I had a dry socket scare, and I called the office at 11 am. They scheduled me for 1 pm that same day. It turned out to not be dry socket, and instead just moderate pain that went away within a few days (a natural part of the recovery process). I didn't end up using any of the more intense painkillers she prescribed to me, but I did use a combination of Tylenol and ibuprofen which was enough for me during the recovery process. I spent a full two years looking for an oral surgeon that I could trust to remove all four wisdom teeth, and I'm glad I waited. I felt like Dr. Chi was attentive to my needs and was there if anything arose during the healing process.

For several months, I looked for a surgeon that could extract a cyst from my jaw. I was told this was something dangerous and serious. One of the risks of not extracting the cyst was the risk of jaw fracture. I was told by another doctor that I would need to go to an operation room, that I would require general anestesia, a breathing tube during the surgery and that I would require rehabilitation of my jaw muscles and that I was not going to be able to chew for a whole month!. However, I found Dr Kai Zu on the web and read wonderful reviews about her. So I made an appointment for which I didn't have to wait long (which often happens with new patients, specially). She understood my frustration and worries right away and told me that she could perform the procedure in her office and that I wouldn't require to go to the operation room. I was so pleasantly surprised by her talent to performed a very delicate surgery. She extracted a wisdom tooth #32 ( which apparently caused the cyst) and the cyst. The cyst was underneath the last tooth #31 and she didn't have to remove it (this was a possibility, but fortunately it didn't happen). The surgery was a complete success. I didn't feel a thing and they treated me with dignity and respect. After the surgery, I was barely swollen and barely in pain. My recovery was amazingly fast and painless. I was eating a hamburger on the fifth day after the procedure. Today I feel immensely relieved that this is over and 100% satisfied with the attention I received by Dr Kai Zu, her assistant and receptionist. They are an exceptional team of professionals.

I Really like Dr. C. She took a lot of time with me, answered all my questions, the staff was very nice and friendly. I am just not happy about the fact that she feels I need the CT scan To take out the teeth that are bothering me. I have had two or three of these for root canal’s and it’s a lot of radiation, and I have a fear of radiation. I love the fact that Dr. Chi also told me not to take out my teeth, to get root canals. That shows her honesty.

While I LOVE Dr. Chi and her assistants, have to admit that the gals at the front desk are simply not efficient. Either the phones aren't answered or when you interact with them, they do not seem alert and don't go out of their way to be efficient. Recently, I walked over to the office, only to find out that I could have been provided the correct information on the phone, BUT.......no one bothered to double check.

I had such an incredible experience. Dr. Chi is very skilled at what she does and I was so impressed by her work. I went in for an implant and came out with absolutely no pain whatsoever. It only hurt just a little when she was injecting the local anasthetic. Both pre and post operation instructions were easy to follow. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for an amazing dentist! I am so very grateful!

I was nervous going in for the extraction of all 4 of my wisdom teeth, but they made me feel so comfortable and assured me I had nothing to be nervous about. I woke up after it over not remebering when I was put to sleep to begin with lol. Great experience to say the least. My pain level immediately after was about a 3/10. Now it’s little to none and it’s only 3 days later!

The best thing about them is their appointments are so easy to find and schedule, they answer the pgone really quickly, the staff is very nice, they have affordable payment plans , the doctor is amazing, when you get in you just feel like you are in good hands. Dr. Chi and her associates are wonderful. For my wisdom teeth extraction, I felt comfortable and cared for. I was nervous about not being numb enough or about losing sensation in my jaw area due to the nerves that were close to the site of surgery, but everything went smoothly. I have complete feeling in my face, and the healing process was exactly what they explained. I would absolutely recommend this office for wisdom teeth removal.

I was happy with my experience at Dr. Chi's office undergoing wisdom teeth extraction. She and her staff are professional, prompt, and thorough. She performed the surgery quickly and without complications. The one thing I would have changed is I wish I had more knowledge about the healing process before I had the surgery. I didn't know what to expect and certain things felt alarming that were actually quite normal. I also had unrealistic expectations about when I would be ready to go back to work, and about how long it would take me to feel fully better. Otherwise I did have a good experience and would go back to Dr. Chi.

The Dr has Magic hands! I’ve had one implant done awhile back, no pain after the procedure. I came back to have two teeth pulled due to an infection. Was in the chair for two hours due to the infection and still no pain the next day! When I’m done I will have a total of three implants and I’m sure without any pain! The staff is very accommodating as well as personable. There is never a long wait to be seen and they work with your schedule! They also follow up after your procedure to see how you are doing!

I am so impressed with CC oral surgery. No one in my area would remove my wisdom teeth, so I looked to Philadelphia. Dr. chi was the second consultation I got in Philadelphia and she was my choice for many reasons. The office was clean and tranquil, her staff was pleasant and professional. They were able to give me an appointment faster then expected (about 3 days for consultation and one week for surgery) and when I arrived an hour early I was seen quickly. Dr. Chi’s bedside manner is spot on! I have extreme dental phobia and was high risk for nerve damage and jaw fracture/break. I had partially impacted tooth that had grow in horizontal and was very decayed. The other was exposed and the roots were long/deep. She explained the risks in a professional yet compassionate way. She had a positive outlook and seemed confident she could help me. The surgery was a complete success. I am recovering very well. I have no nerve damage or jaw fracture. I was so surprised not to have one or the other. I am so grateful to Dr.Chi and feel so much healthier. She was worth the travel from Scranton.

While I feel confident in the medical care I received, I have a couple of suggestions for providing a better overall experience. The waiting room was very cold and the music from the television was really loud. I had an appointment to have a piece of tissue removed from inside my mouth, and in the exam room Dr. Chi gave me a quick hello and then started speaking to her assistant about office matters. She then proceeded to give me a very painful shot of novacaine with zero warning. Not great bedside manner.

I've never been in a dental office that's so comforting. The atmosphere is relaxing. The staff is so well mannered. They're the first impression of the office and once you get done with them you know that your visit is going to go well. I judge an office by their staff, because they represents the office. My experience with the Dentist was even better, I felt like my son was in the right hands. Don't hesitate to go there. Just be like Nike and just do it..

Dr. Chi and her staff are the definition of professional. They called me before my appointment so I was clear about every detail from pre-op preparation, insurance/financial issues, and Dr. Chi herself called me to remind me to take my blood pressure medicine before the procedure. That's a good doctor. On my procedure day, I was immediately put at ease and was treated with dignity and compassion. The procedures, which were all major, went beautifully, and I trust the work that was done. This practice is for anyone who needs oral surgery, and wants to be sure they are getting the best work done.

I was a little nervous bringing my 12 year old son to an oral surgeon to have a tooth pulled, but Dr Kai-zu Chi was great. She has kids of her own and quickly put him at ease. It was an urgent appointment requested by his orthodontist and his braces tightening were put on hold until the procedure was completed, Dr Kai-zu Chi's practice was able to get him in with 3 days, it was very helpful. The procedure was very fast and smooth and his mouth healed just as we were told it would. I will definitely recommend this practice to friends.

When I needed an urgent extraction, from the moment I met Dr. Chi, I knew she was the one I could trust with the procedure. She did the extraction and a bone graft and performed the surgery flawlessly. She later placed an implant, and while I have had some rare and unfortunate complications from that surgery that we are still trying to work through, Dr. Chi has been incredibly attentive, and she shows a level of empathy that I do not believe is easy to find; she treats her patients as if they were her friends. Because of this, I maintain hope that my situation will eventually resolve, and i feel certain that Dr. Chi will continue to do all she can to ensure this. I would also like to comment on the staff in the office, who like Dr. Chi share a unified dedication to professionalism. The staff at the front desk and her assistants share Dr. Chi's passion for carefully listening to patients and answering questions thoroughly. I have never felt rushed, or as if my concerns were trivial. I also have never waited in the office for an unreasonable amount of time for a scheduled appointment. Further, the office, conveniently located in center city, is immaculately clean. Contacting the office is easy and any call is promptly returned. The dental equipment is unrivaled in its modernity, and even the waiting room has comfortable seating and relaxing music, along with complimentary beverages to help one relax in preparation for the appointment. I'm not sure how one would pursue a better experience with an oral surgeon in the city, or in the region for that matter, and I feel Philadelphia is fortunate that Dr. Chi has chosen this city as her home.

Dr Chi was phenomenal. Professional and caring. My 16 year old daughter not only needed all 4 wisdom teeth removed but Dr. Chi also found a previously undiscovered cyst (turned out to be benign). The facility is next to Graduate Hospital, which made me more secure in the event something happened (it didn't but I'm a Mom so I worry). The actual surgery was quick, smooth and my daughter had very little side effects from the anesthesia.
