Always a positive experience here. Only 1 qualm about our last visit. They should have taken my 5 yr olds bitewing xray in May 2022 accdg to AAP. But they only did it after 6 months and now she has cavities. It would have been nice if it was noticed early on. So we could have done things sooner.

Recently had a cleaning with the new lady, Amanda. She is great! So friendly, gentle, and gave me new advice. Also, front desk ladies are always pleasant, but this week I came home to a card from Carol that literally had me in tears. The fact that she took the time to send me a card about my health was SO touching and just proves what a LOVELY staff works here. If you’re going anywhere but this office for your family’s dental needs, you’re cheating yourselves out of a 5 star experience. Every time.

I always enjoy going to see the dentist and office staff at Castro Valley Dental Care! I am in the middle of a long process to get dentures...weird that I would enjoy going right?! I promise you that the care you receive from this wonderful team is enjoyable! My mom went to a different dentist in town to get dentures a few months ago and she came home crying and she hated the way she was treated and is not happy with the final result so I have a direct comparison. Dr. Young takes the time to do everything the right way and everyone at the office, assistants, Dr. Dave. I could go on and on about Mary and Carol as they are simply incredible! I did not go to dentists after a horrible experience in my early teens and these people have converted everything dental into a positive and enjoyable experience. They care and they are professional and they listen to you keeping you fully in the loop on your treatment options and then a treatment plan that everyone understands and agrees upon.

I was very scared to come in due to Covid, but Dr Young and staff are going above and beyond to make sure we are safe. They have taken more cautions that I myself have not thought of to sanitize. We love this office! My boys just went in for their cleanings. The office has paired them perfectly with dental hygienists that work with their completely opposite personalities! I have a jibber-jabber 7 year old and 10 year old you have to pull teeth (pun intended) to get to talk! But both visits felt completely personalized, with specific things both littles need to work on before next appointment and what they are doing well now. ZERO complaints. And the front office is lovely, as well; they remember your past convos and always are a pleasure to visit with!

Having had this procedure once before, a few years ago with a different practice, I was somewhat nervous, as my experience wasn’t all that great. Dr. Dave was so kind, gentle and engaged during the entire process! He and his assistant made sure I was comfortable and kept me informed during the procedure. Dr. Young has been a great dentist for the last 6 months. She is very skilled and always very communicative about what procedures she and the staff are performing. I am often anxious about getting the anesthetic shots, and she is always understanding, reassuring, and, most importantly, quick and skilled at giving the shots. HI I recently came in for a cleaning the hygienist did a great job. I really appreciate the time and the practical suggestions. I noticed the dentist does not check the lymphatic system in the past this was part of the visit, I maybe be wrong but would appreciate clarification. During my last visit the DDS asked if I had ever thought about using a night guard when I had just purchased one the previous visit. This was concerning to me because the comment lead me to believe the DDS is not looking at my chart. During the visit 2 red flags occurred. 1 not checking the Lymphatic system around the head and neck or checking the mouth for pre cancer. 2 Not knowing that I had purchased a night guard and trying to sell me one and selling the smile alignment product.

Dr Sean did an excellent job on the root canal and the crown he finished for me that day. I felt no discomfort afterward. It's been a month and it feels great! The front office is not so great. They overcharged my by close to $300 and made me feel like this is my fault that I don't know what I previously overpaid, which was again because of their error. I was told things like "good luck understanding your accounts" as they handed a printout, could not explain why one receipt was different from the other and where the credit was applied. Incompetence to the highest degree!

I can not begin to show technologically advanced this office is... A crown 100 percent done, with no issues whatsoever on a new patient!! For someone who has a severe fear of the dentist, this has been the only place in my 32 years that I have ever felt ok. Of course going there your nervous, but Mike basically held my hand through it all and never once made me feel bad about being scare or ever got impatient with me. Honestly he made me look forward to getting the rest of the work I need done and maintaining good oral health moving forward. My teeth aren't the best and they never judged me or made me feel like I was a lost cause. I will forever be a patient and will always recommend them to any and everyone.

First of all, I can't say enough about my usual dental hygienist, Mike, who does a great job every time. During the cleanings, he patiently and diligently works on my teeth to eliminate the stains, which I admit are from my love of coffee, tea, and occasional red wine. I really appreciate his efforts, as some hygienists I've had in the past (at other places), do not take anywhere near the same care and effort that he does. He works on my teeth with various tools and technologies, using his experience and expertise. He also understands tooth sensitivity and takes measures to help avoid inflicting inadvertent pain. Over the years, I believe his diligence has led to a very positive effect and general improvement of my teeth, mouth, and general health. This also provides motivation to get into better daily routine dental habits. But I also want to say that ALL of the staff and dentists that I have seen are excellent here - but in particular, at the front desk, Carol and Zaida are very friendly, helpful, and really care about their customers. They remember and ask about how things are going in our lives. It is a pleasant experience to come in, which is saying a lot for going to the dentist. All of this is why I have been coming to Castro Valley Dental for many years, and intend to keep coming back if they keep up the good work, which I'm sure they will. All of this effort and work by the staff is very much appreciated! Thank you all.

48 hour notice to cancel or change an appoint with a "reminder" 48 -72 hours and $50 - $100 fee is unreasonable and not much help. Our experience with other healthcare providers are 24hour notice with 24-48 hour reminder.

I believe that Castro Valley Dental Care gave me the best cleaning that my teeth have ever received. Before my appointment, I had never flossed much because it was too difficult to do so due to the floss getting stuck or not wanting to go in between my teeth. After my cleaning, however, I can now floss easily! Since my appointment I floss every day now, and it's all thanks to the dental hygienist who cleaned my teeth. Thank you so much!

This was my first time coming here with my boys and my little one's first time at the Dentist! Our hygienist was amazing and all of the ladies up front were so warm and welcoming. Food was impacting between two of my molars everytime I ate. Dr. Young decided the crown was not right and offered to replace it at no charge. When the old crown was removed she found a hidden cavity in the next tooth and repaired it. She was quick, pleasant, and efficient. Many thanks, Dr. Young. Nile Runge

I give Castro Valley Dental Care FIVE STARS! After looking for a dental office through the years, I was happy to finally find the BEST! I couldn't ask for better service from any of the staff. From the time I walk in to the door until I leave I am taken care of. Going to the dentist is not my favorite thing, but going to CV Dental Care I always feel at ease. It's always very clean and they have all the latest technology. I love that if you need a crown that it can all be done on the same day. Dr. Whitehouse and staff are so friendly and really talk to you well to me, not at me. What a wonderful experience, my first visit an emergency situation my bridge broke on a saturday, i left a message at their office on sunday monday 8:30 am they called and were able to get me in to see Dr. Whitehouse by 11:00. They are closed weekends so considering this and the fact i am new to their practice i am extremely impressed. So far everything seems fine and i will be seeing them soon for my regular check up. Bonus for me and family their only blocks from my house. And for those OCD types office is extremely clean and organized.

Mike is an excellent hygienist. Very thorough, explains what he is doing and answers all questions courteously. The work on my bridge was at Dr. Whitehouse's recommendation. He jumped in and completed the job with confidence and tenacity. I know the reason for this is so I don't have problems with this bridge in the future. I decided to do it. I'm usually in the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it group. I trust his knowledge. Overall, I am so pleased with the entire staff who always put me at ease with their caring manner and their humor. I love your office music, your lovely new carpeting and Mary's wardrobe choices. My financial/insurance status was uncertain due to computer "stuff",at the time of visit, but I know that will be cleared up to my satisfaction. Thank you all for your much appreciated services. THE STAFF IS ALWAYS FRIENDLY. AND I REALLY LIKE MIKE. HE'S FUNNY AND TREATS ME LIKE A YOUNGER BROTHER. IT FEELS LIKE A FAMILY UNIT THERE.

I would say my experience on my first visit was a 5! I'm glad I transsferred my records to this dental office.

Within 3 days Dr Joe was able to see me about a tooth I had lost. He was able to cement it back to its place. He clearly told me that he could not guarantee not losing it again. However, this temporary solution was financially wise to continue recementing if I again lost the tooth as opposed to the more permanent $3,032 long term solution.

EVERY TIME I GO INTO THE OFFICE I AM WELCOMED AND FEEL LIKE THEY ARE GENUINELY HAPPY TO SEE ME. NOT JUST BECAUSE THEY HAVE MY BUSINESS BUT ALL THE STAFF IS VERY PERSONABLE...I LIKE MIKE! AND WHEN FINANCES NEED TO BE EXPLAINED THEY ARE VERY PATIENT,,,THANKS SO MUCH DR. WHITEHOUSE FOR PUTTING TOGETHER SUCH A GREAT DIVERSE AND WONDERFUL STAFF.

the office is always clean and smells clean too. the staff are pleasant, accommodating and very helpful. the service is comfortable and almost always pain free. when you're early, there is always ample supply of things to do -- magazines, coloring books and things to entertain kids to keep them occupied. highly recommend to friends and families. thank you all for the pleasant and friendly experience.

I cracked left molar over 49er Super Bowl weekend (2/3/2013). On Monday, I walked in to the dental office and got an excellent 5-star treatment from Dr. Young & Cenia. A crown was recommended and the procedure was completed in one trip (two hours!!) saving me time and money! The crown was made on site via CAD (Computer Aided Design) software, and fit perfectly. They even made an adjustment to my Invisalign retainer to fit the new crown. The 49ers will be back next year! Thanks, Norm Cheng

A friend told me about Castro Valley Dental Care and I made an appointment for an initial visit. I was treated with respect and patience, the cleaning was gentle and thorough, and I even got a hand massage with parafin wax treatment for free! The staff is so wonderful there, genuinely friendly and just ready to help you smile more! My family has been going to Castro Valley Dental for a year now. My four year old, my husband, and I have all had wonderful care. The hygenists do an excellent job, keeping patients comfortable and knowledgeable throughout the process. The dentists give caring, individual attention and information.
