I have been going to Capitol Periodontal Group in Folsom for several years for perio-maintenance check ups, twice a year, and two children and myself have had gum graft surgery done. Overall, the staff and doctors are courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful. Occasionally, we have had an issue with a staff person and doctor being abrupt and impatient, thus the four stars, however, I feel I can openly share that with the office manager, who I feel passes that feedback on to the person involved. I will continue using Capitol Periodontal Group.

I wish Dr. Jain would have more personal conversation contact with a patient during a procedure, e.g. "How are you feeling?", "Let me know if something hurts.", "Should I stop for a moment for you to catch your breath?" This is the second procedure I've had with Dr.Jain, with minimal verbal contact other than a brief greeting. Leah, upon my request, explained what Dr. Jain did. I had no closure with Dr. Jain. I do believe she's an excellent periodontist, however.

I see Sarah about 3 times a year. I drive 45 minutes to see her because she is the best hygienist I have ever used. Friendly, professional, timely, and very gentle. Also she just zips right along so I would say she is speedy too!

I had a skin graft done this morning. Surprisingly quick and easy. The swelling is going down now. No pain. Fingers crossed the healing goes as smoothly as the surgery. So far I'm very impressed. Very professional and very efficient. This is definitely a place you should consider.

I was always comfortable. Instructions were clearly explained for after care at home. Received a follow up phone call from the office two hours after the procedure. I appreciated their call.

Capitol Periodontal provides excellent service. I’ve had a couple of implants done and appreciated the skill shown by the doctor that did them. The procedure was quick and totally painless. At Capitol Perio in Folsom I get dental cleaning done by Sarah, who does an excellent job and is always cheerful, professional, and sweet. I feel fortunate to have found such a wonderful dental hygienist.

I was seen by a nurse, which was nice and professional, but, due to the nature of the surgical intervention, I expected to be seen by a doctor. It looked like they never waited for me, they figured out somebody who had some minutes to see me. For such an expensive intervention some consideration is expected.

I have had bad teeth and gums my whole life. About 3 yrs ago Dr Woo did surgery on my gums so I could go back to my dentist Dr K to do the restorative dental work. I have cleanings every 3 months alternating from pario and dentist. Everyone involved has been excellent even the HUGE male nurse that was amazed at how the twilight medicine was not working on my 100 pound frame. Yesterday I when back to Sarah at pario office. The last time I was there she was really concerned about some pockets so she did what I called womped on me. The next cleaning at my dentist office they told me they don’t know what she did but my gums were the best they have been. So back to Sarah yesterday and she was still apologizing from the last time because she knew I was sore after but my gums are soooo much better. I have many thousands of dollars invested in my mouth and I want to thank everyone involved but a special shout out to Sarah because at a time it could have gone wrong she made the decision to womp on me and changed the direction of all this work I have had done. I have no more pain in my mouth. I’m 60 yrs old and I have no more pain in my mouth that I lived with sense I was a child. Hard to understand for people who have not had dental problems. But for those of us who have you understand the tears of joy when you can smile and eat with your beautiful teeth that no longer cause me pain or embarrassment.

My doctors work was excellent . I had minimal pain and inflammation. The office staff prior to my appt. was unsatisfactory. I wrote my appt. date and time down as I made it and later was sent the wrong time and date. My meds were not sent to the pharmacy I selected , even though I was sent a message by your office to pick them up . I had to ask to have my consent forms prior to my appt. date because as an R.N. myself, I know it is illegal to have me sign forms after oral sedation as the office wanted me to do the day of my surgery.everything was corrected after I called about it.

Average service. Mouthpiece caused additional pain in teeth and palette and couldn’t keep in my mouth. First appointment for sutures removal was less than a week and stitches weren’t ready to come out. Following appointment was rescheduled and postponed the day of the appointment. Stitches started coming apart in my mouth before eventually having to travel to Folsom office to get them removed.

I have Dr. Wu for my oral surgery. I didn't feel any pain during the surgery except the time I was getting a few injections of the local anesthesia (just a little pain for just a few seconds). As already stated the staff moved my appointment from a month in the future to two days from (my request) to have an earlier appointment, as I had been up all night with pain in the upper left quadrant, #15. But the irony is although they well knew I had this well-defined presenting pain and problem—at the end of the appointment, they did nothing to address the immediate need, that is, the pain of the infection. I had to ask them to please do something so that the pain can be alleviated. They were going to send me on my way having achieved nothing because I rejected their treatment plan. This was the second time in my recent experience with dental groups that I got the unmistakable impression that I'm being 'hustled' to subscribe to their treatment plan... and what a plan it was!—$$$.

Capitol Periodontal is the only periodontal office in my experience to really give me the information and tools necessary for me to keep my teeth and gums in the best possible health. I found Capitol Periondontal Group to be very well organized and efficient. On my first visit, they were able to tell me that they could do the procedure and explained the cost. My second visit was to do x-rays which were done quickly. This was my third visit to actually place the implants. Dr. Jain did an excellent job of numbing me so that I didn't feel a thing during the entire procedure. And it must have been a lot of work because I did have swelling the next day, which I was warned of.

I rushed from work to arrive for my final follow-up appointment promptly on time, but was left sitting in the waiting room for 15-20 minutes nonetheless. There were no other patients in the waiting room, so I can't imagine this wait time was due to the staff being overwhelmed. When I was taken to the exam room, the periodontal assistant who took my x-rays was very cordial and made friendly conversation. However, after waiting in the exam room for some time, I was eventually informed that the doctor was entirely too busy with another patient to come see me (so I'm not sure why I even had an appointment at this time?). I had a few minor questions I would have liked to ask her about what to expect going forward and how to handle any potential unforeseen future complications. It's possible that the assistant could have answered these questions, but I would have really preferred to speak to the doctor personally. As grateful as I am for the flawless implant procedure I had here, I can't help but feel that the customer service experience is a little lacking.

Periodontal Surgery is not normally something you would look forward to but having gone through it ( Osseous Surgery - upper right) once with Dr. Jain, I absolutely did not hesitate to schedule surgery for the lower right. Prior to my surgery with Dr. Jain, I had not met a single person (my wife included) who had a pleasant experience with periodontal surgery. Well, let me be the first to say, my experience with Dr. Jain was amazing. Sure there was a discomfort during the procedure but I honestly felt like I could have gone right back to work if necessary. Never thought I'd have a "favorite periodonist," but Dr. Wu is the best! I have been to three other periodontist's over the last ten years and by far Dr. Wu is the best in all respects, including the way the entire Capitol Periodontal Group operates. Their offices are quiet but friendly and there's never a wait beyond 5 minutes. Their billing was always exactly what you expected, no surprise billings in the mail or on the way out the door...never. The office assistants and Dr. Wu's assistants are sharp, professional, and super friendly. I had reservations to begin with regarding implants, but now that the work is done and I have them, I am extremely pleased that I did get implants. The implants feel and behave like real teeth and I often have to stop and focus to remember which ones are the implants because the work was done so well by both Dr. Wu and my regular dentist who coordinated with Dr. Wu's office during then entire process. Also Dr Chens Medical Assistant in Roseville ( Lauren, or Laura ) was absoutly amazing. She was really on her game.!. She ordered an extra X-Ray of my jaw because she thought a piece of my tooth / root was still in place and needed to be removed. She was absoutly right!!! Bottom line: Dr. Jain is amazing. At the initial consultation I was told I the treatment plan included a complete occlusal adjustment, bone grafting, GTR membrane and L/ Osseous surgery. It sounded all bad to me and I was really dreading the appointment. To my surprise, Dr. Jain had me in and out in an hour with minimal discomfort during the surgery, no swelling afterwards and no need for any medication other than 400mg ibuprofin for the first day or two.

I would highly suggest that front desk be more clear when deciding if certain procedures/appointments are available. I was told that I could have a procedure there for a reasonable price. I was referred there by a local dentist. However, once I drove over a hour and a half to your office, I was told that it was not possible to do the procedure that day. Additionally, I was told that the procedure would cost twice as much as much as I was quoted over the phone. There needs to be better communication from the front desk to the operating rooms, because a phone conversation that lasted a few minutes wasted time, mileage and money. What is really concerning is that there was no apology, and the billing lady still said that I would be charged for a general consultation. Additionally, the dental assistant insisted that I get a 3d x-ray, despite me already having x-ray results already from a previous consultation. That does not seem like good customer service rather a way to make revenue.

My daughter needed a lower tooth extracted. Their consult conflicted with our dentist. Had second opinion, and they concurred with our dentist. With the monopoly on the periodontal business in the area by this group we had no choice but to have her tooth removed by this group as her tooth had absessed. During the procedure my teenage daughter said she could feel them extracting the tooth enough to the point that she raised her hand for more Novocain. They administered more novo, but she said it was still very painful which makes me wonder if they actually administered the novo correctly. Knowing my daughter was in pain during this process put a bee in my bonnet. On her follow up visit she said Dr Wu was in and out in two minutes, and the doctor hardly said a word to her. Wished the experience was better, but sadly I can't rate this doctor any higher then one star.

I had surgery to remove the right tori after I had procrastinated to do it for two years. I had the left side removed two years ago by another periodontist in Folsom and because of the very bad experience then, I was hesitant to go through with it again. To anyone needing to have the interior lower bone removed (tori), Dr. Wu is the best of best!! I was in surgery for more than half the time, it was almost a painless procedure and after only one day to test the waters as to my pain level (none) and wooziness, it was almost like I had not had surgery and I was good to go.

I have been a patient of Dr Wu since Aug 2015 and she is awesome. She does a wonderful job and her hands are very light. I have gone to the office in Sacramento and Roseville and had good service however, my last appt in the Roseville office, I had the worst experience in my 60 year life. It was a 3:30pm appt and the height of traffic, I arrived 13 minutes after my appt time and was immediately told I was late and had to reschedule.I was shocked and wanted to talk it through with them and the 2 ladies upfront did not move from their seats but repeatedly said I need to reschedule. One lady said "GOT IT" to shut me up and rescheduled me. I was furious and she said take it up with the Dr. I went home vowing to never come back and even change Periodontist. As I was driving home I checked my cell voicemail and saw that they had called me 5 minutes after my appointed time and told me to call and reschedule. I think they wanted to just end their work day early. I called my Dentist who referred me to their practice and told her my story and she listened to their message, she was appalled that they would treat a patient this way. She called Dr Wu who herself was appalled and Dr Wu called me to apologize for the treatment I received and scheduled me at her Folsom office- the staff there were wonderful and got a 5star rating from me. SO BEWARE OF THE ROSEVILLE office front desk ladies, they treat you like you are just another item to check off their list so they can end their work day. Forget about the human touch...you are just another source of $$$$.

I had this procedure perfomed about 2 years ago. It was very short and 'simple'. Yesterday, there was a complication and it took approx. 30 minutes. I knew there was a problem, but when in the chair we are at the trust of the doctor. I knew i was in good hands, but i was still 'freaking out' inside as to what was going on with my mouth. It would have been much better for me if Dr. Wu explained at least the basics of what was going on while performing the procedure.

The service I received met my expectations. Dr. Jain's technician/assistant was friendly and effectively explained the current status of my treatment plan and what to expect next. Although I was punctual, the waiting room time was a little longer than I'd hoped (however, this may have been a result of the appointment being around lunch time). The follow-up procedure performed by Dr. Jain was quick and easy and I was on my way shortly thereafter.

I very much like my hygienist, Sara. She is thorough, professional and accommodating. I was sorry to learn I can no longer make Monday appointments with the hygienist. I was not seen by a Doctor during my visit. I don't know why. I don't personally care for the fact that your lobby area is closed during the staff's lunch period.

I don't "enjoy" having my teeth cleaned, but I do find reassurance in the quality of care I receive from the dental hygienist and Dr. Wu. They are caring and thorough. Although having my teeth cleaned is not an option, where I have it preformed is, and I choose Capitol Periodontal Group!
