The doctor took time to answer all questions Very friendly and met all my needs. Receptionist were very pleasant and competent. Only one issue, I wish the person dispensing glasses were more helpful. Ie: Are the frame the right size, insurance questions, and options of coatings.

Dr. Tchao is amazing. She took the time to answer all my questions and explained it in a way I fully understood. She took the time to challenge me to ensure my eyes are getting the right prescription for contacts. She talked about future things that could happen but may not. but still made sure I understood what could happen. She knew i ran out of contacts but gave me a supply to last (hopefully) until my contacts came in. She truly cares.

I have been a patient of Dr. DeLugan for many years. He has always taken excellent care of my eye health and takes the time to get to know his patients. I feel confident with Dr. DeLugan's exams because he always considers my visual needs, whether I am working or retired. The providers and front desk staff are outstanding, professional, smart, and extremely helpful. I usually have had an outstanding experience at Bluehills which is why I am a returning customer. On this most recent visit, I did have a negative experience with Leanne. She was overtly impatient with my questions and budget restrictions. However, after speaking with her about how I was interpreting her irritation, she did do her best to change her tone and approach. Perhaps it was a bad day.

The staff at Blue Hills Eye Associates are amazing! I have been seeing Dr. Jamie DeLugan since I began wearing contact lenses. Dr. DeLugan really cares about my eyes. Dr. DeLugan never rushes through an appointment- he makes sure my eyes are healthy, and my contact lenses are comfortable to wear. The Blue Hills Eye Associates office is always clean and very handy on the first floor. The staff at the desk are always polite and patient with any questions I may have and sending email reminders when it is time to make an appointment. I highly recommend Blue Hills Eye Associates!

Dr. Tchao took the time for a thorough examination and addressed all my concerns. She considered my unique work conditions to recommend the best type of lenses and eye care regime. The optician was also very thorough and let me know the different options for the many types of progressive lenses to choose one that would accommodate my work conditions the best. This is the only place I have found such attention and care, and I have tried several. I highly recommend them for all your vision needs.

I have been seeing Dr. Tchao for the past few years. I feel so fortunate to have found her. She listens to my concerns and is a very thorough and competent clinician. Last year, my macular degeneration worsened and she took the time to contact the doctors at Mass Eye & Ear to move up my appointment. I started injections within 2 weeks of the change, and because of Dr Tchao's advocacy, my eyes are stable with these injections. Mass Eye and Ear said that the reason I had such success is because the injections started early. This absolutely would not have happened without Dr Tchao's advocacy for me. Highly recommend.

On leaving my PCP earlier in the week, the office staff was able to find an opening to make my appointment in the same building as my PCP before the week was over. I liked being able to expedite my recommended appointments and appreciated the efforts of the staff to meet my needs. The appointment and visit with Jamie was most welcome. He is a consummate professional who was able to spend the time and effort to explain the procedures done and the technology when asked to my satisfaction. He made me feel comfortable and his attention to detail was most appreciated. I like that in a medical professional. Dr. Jaimie Delugan is my guy. He was a meticulous student when he came to me for tennis lessons. He brings the same attention to detail to an eye exam. I had the chance to see an ophthalmologist friend of Dr. Delugan and he commented that, "Jay detects many of the same eye ailments that an ophthalmologist does. I honestly can't come up with a single complaint.

I saw Dr. Tchao for my appointment at Blue Hills Eye Associates. This was my first visit to any eye doctor and I was somewhat apprehensive. From the start, Dr. Tchao was incredibly warm and reassuring. She took time to get to know me and was patient and thoughtful throughout the exam. Before each portion of the exam, she explained what would happen and what data she would be able to gather from the specific test. I felt comfortable advocating for myself throughout the exam and felt that she genuinely listened to me. It's clear patient wellbeing is incredibly important to Dr. Tchao. I would absolutely see Dr. Tchao again!

An ophthalmologist who knows Dr. Jamie Delugan told me that he identifies eye problems that many optometrist fail to catch. His opinion is that Dr. Delugan is a cut above the rest. I have known Dr. Delugan for more than ten year, and he has never failed to provide excellence. The office atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant. The employees who check us in are friendly and always have a smile at the ready. I suppose if I have a complaint it is I need better magazines as I wait my turn.

Myself and my Family have been going to Blue Hill Eye Associates for a very long time. Dr Delugen has to be one of the nicest men I have ever met. He is kind and considerate, very accommodating and just plain Great! He really instills in me a trust. He tells me; I am your Doctor, I am here for you! He just recently told me that he would not have me see another Dr. if he felt that that Dr. wasn't good at what he does! The front desk people are amazing. We always laugh and have a good time. One women in particular {I Can't remember her name} about my age, dirty blonde hair, anyway; when I come in I feel like I'm seeing an old friend. She's great! There is a new guy there at reception, heavy set around 30 years old, nice, nice guy! I hope I can continue my eye care there until the end of time!

I have always loved Dr. Thurm and was originally disappointed that I could only get an appointment on short notice with Dr. Moore. Then I met Dr. Moore - she is fabulous!!!! She has an excellent "bedside" manner and I would be happy to see her again. I also actually really liked the music your office was playing. In fact I called the office just today to ask if it was a radio station or "taped" music. The receptionist was super friendly and let me know it was the 70s station on satellite. Also a shout-out to the optician who helped my son with his glasses. She repaired the ones he was wearing (a basketball collision had seriously bent the frames) and helped him choose a really great frame while I was having my eye exam which saved us time. Overall - I will and do recommend your office to my friends.

They squeezed me in for an emergency appointment the same day and the staff was very helpful. Doctor Shannon Moore examined my damaged eye/retina and made the proper arrangements for me to be seen at Mass Eye & Ear in Boston were I had emergency eye surgery on my damaged retina that night. Timing was the key to saving my eye according to my retina doctor. I have been going to Blue Hills Eye Associates for over 10 years and drive down from New Hampshire every year. After this most recent episode with my eye, I'm more than happy to make the long commute. Doctor Delugan has been my eye doctor for years and is the best, but Doctor Moore is a star in this office. Incredibly easy and pleasant experience! I arrived 10 min early (to fill out paperwork as a new customer) and I was taken back almost immediately. Dr Thurm was very welcoming and knowledgeable. He also provided guidance on a new brand of contacts that would be much more economical for me, and a better fit. Everything about my experience here was positive. Not only will I be a returning customer, but I'm encouraging my husband to switch and will bring my daughter here too!

Honestly, I'm pretty appalled by everyone here except Dr. Tong. I have never seen so many people collectively act so disrespectfully in a professional setting. I thought the behavior was a one time thing- at my last appointment, reception was incredibly rude to him. They all disappeared when he was trying to cash me out. No one would help him or look him in the eye, which then made me feel like I was unimportant. But I came back again because Dr Tong treated me with respect and helped me find the right contacts, which I've been struggling with - but then it happened AGAIN during my last appointment. I couldn't believe it, but everyone was even MORE rude. I'm a manager of a high volume retail store and I would never stand for anyone in my store treating someone the way you all treated Dr Tong. It would be considered retaliation and reprimandable. I'm not sure I will be able to come back here again, which is a shame because Dr. Tong is good at what he does.

The doctor took great care of our son. Put him at ease and explained every step to both of us. The doctor went over our son's medical history thoroughly and even had us wait until our child's medical report came in from MEEI so that he could review that before sending us home. There was a mix-up in scheduling and I didn't see my regular doctor (Dr. Delugan), but rather another doctor. I didn't believe the exam was very thorough. And when I bought my glasses, I specifically asked than my lenses be the same as I had purchased last time (ultra thin, coatings, etc.). The man who helped me looked at my last sunglass purchase and not my regular eyeglass purchase and didn't order the correct lenses. I found this out when I called later to confirm what he had ordered (I was not confident that he did it correctly). Good thing I called!

I never feel that he is dishonest and always put the patient needs first. The office staff is polite and adapt. Always knowing about your insurance plans and can usually answer your questions. The optical center is also polite. There is a fair selection of eye glass options ranging from affordable and up to high end designers.
