I recently visited the office for my one-year follow-up on my implant. I have to say, this was the best dental experience of my life. I've always been apprehensive in the dental chair. Dr. Donovan and his staff took everything I told them into consideration when performing the procedure, including the fact that my body doesn't like the numbing medication nor latex gloves. The actual implant is perfect and after a year, still looks good. I will/do recommend this practice for anyone looking for superb dental surgery. Thank you Dr. Donovan and staff, your are wonderful.

Great experience with ian mplant. Dr. McKnight and the team were very efficient. They explained everything I would experience step by step. They were spot on in the description and this greatly helped with the anticipation involved in the procedure. No discomfort during the procedure at all - just pressure from the drilling and I was not anxious about the procedure in the least. Very little discomfort afterward and took only Ibuprofen for a day or so following the procedure. Would recommend following the post-surgical recommendations. Pleasantly surprised at what an easy experience this was!

I have rarely experienced a doctor's office where everyone you meet is so kind and compassionate. It is obvious they insist on providing exceptional care from all of their staff. For a rather intense procedure, I was put at ease from the moment my appointment began. I felt confident that I was getting the best care and that everything would go as well as possible. Afterwards, I even reflected that the procedure seemed to go easier than some of my more routine ones at my primary dentist's office. I was treated more like a close friend than a patient. I came home and bragged to my husband how happy I was with this otherwise daunting experience.

I recently had emergency surgery to remove a tooth and place an implant. Dr. Donovan did the work and I felt completely at ease and reassured by his competence and professionalism. He kept me informed what was happening during the process which I found comforting. Moreover, this is my third procedure with AZ Perio and I feel very comfortable with their people and processes. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. I did have a couple of issues with the process in this instance because it happened during the COVID-19 pandemic. I was reluctant to have the procedure done because of this, but there was an infection that made it necessary. In the time it took for intake, surgery and post-surgery processing, though, I had close contact with at least seven different people, which seemed excessive given the circumstances. I was advised to pickup two prescriptions that had to be submitted to my pharmacy electronically. When I went to pick them up about two hours after surgery, the pharmacy had not received them and the office had closed. I left a message and was called the next day and advised the prescriptions were at the pharmacy. I went again to pick them up and only received only one of the two. When I called the office, I was advised to substitute an over-the-counter product for the prescription mouth rinse I was originally instructed to use. I was told this decision was made, by whom I don't know, so as not to inconvenience the pharmacist. Really? So, I paid $16 for an OTC mouthwash when my drug insurance would have covered the cost of the prescription product and made three trips to a pharmacy in the middle of a pandemic. I'll say again that after two implant procedures and a gum graft, AZ Perio does good work and I trust their doctors to take care of me. In this instance, however, there was some disorganization and miscommunication that made the after care more disheveled than it should have been and the intake more peopled than advisable.

I was nervous/anxious to discuss the possible placement of an implant and I had a prior back office billing my insurance for another patient. The physician was accommodating and trying to calm my nerves but it didn't work; drilling into bone and then finding out needing cadaver product, more anxiety. The support staff, the asst questioned me about having teeth removed when looking at the full face xray, she kept saying I had other teeth removed, I explained no, just wisdom teeth and she again so, no you have teeth missing, she went hmm, maybe it's a genetic issue. First I'd ever heard that from anyone in the dental field. She also placed the incorrect tooth number on the paperwork to be fixed :-( and the office manager had me sit down and asked about scheduling, I said, I've not made a decision, I have to absorb all the information that was presented. She didn't explain the cost of the x-ray, not covered, just collected money, she then went over the treatment plan but didn't explain payment options, I did mention how do people afford this cost, still nothing about any payment. Then leaving her area, she said, call soon to get scheduled and I again repeated, I haven't made a decision to proceed. I felt like only a number. I have been in healthcare for over 25 years and worked on the front and back end, I'm just saddened about the office staff.

She is the first person that greets you on arrival and is always cheerful, helpful, and knowledgeable! My dental hygienist, Deb is a wonderful, professional and extremely caring and compassionate professional. I have been Deb's patient for over 20 years and have consistently received competent and thorough care. Deb is the best!

This Dental office is a Super Dental Center. Truly a health care facility that is concerned for the dental health of the patients. I received the best examination ever and they fixed the most serious problems right away. The office staff was extremely nice and friendly. They all were interested in making my visit as comfortable as possible. Visiting a dentist is not something I enjoy, however my attitude toward my dental health has changed since this visit and I look forward to becoming a very good patient. Sincerely, Andy Morales

It was a very professional, friendly, efficiently run office. I came early, but was admitted into the doctor's office right on time. The staff ran thru my stats and had me prepped for my interview with the doctor in a smooth, easy manner. I was well informed about the proposed procedure and had all my questions answered. I enjoyed my meeting with the doctor and the staff and feel very confident that the proposed procedure will go well.

No one really enjoys a dental appointment. I was apprehensive about my first visit to AZPerio; but my concern was unfounded. Everyone at AZPerio was friendly, helpful, and courteous--from the receptionist (Rita) to the dental assistant (Nichole) to Dr. McKnight. I was fortunate that no follow-up appointment was necessary; but I was confident that any follow-up would be met with the same professional competence and courtesy as my first visit. Thank you.

The office staff and Dr. Donovan were warm and friendly. It was obvious each person knew there skill well! Everything went as well as it should have! Dr. Donovan called the day before my visit to see if I had any questions and the day after the implants to check on me.....a very nice touch! I waited 2 weeks for an appointment by choice and coordination. I waited a few minutes for Dr. Donovan, but I know he had been on the phone speaking with my primary dentist.

The staff and doctors at AZPerio provide excellent and professional care. The services I have received from the practice include both surgery and cleanings. Dr. Donovan did a great job with the periodontal surgery he performed for me and it was successful. The dental hygienists are informative and suggest good preventive measures, which I also appreciate. I have confidence that I am receiving the best periodontal care available. I would absolutely recommend this practice!

Everything went smoothly I am happy to say. The pain following the surgery was minimal (which was my greatest concern as I am limited to the type of pain relievers I can take (I have Ulcerated Colitis). I am a little disappointed in the fact that I wanted to get knocked out (sleep), however I only received I guess was a twilight sleep and heard everything going on. I guess I wasn't clear on what I wanted and to that degree I will take some of the responsibility. Other than that, Dr Donavan was excellent and the staff was outstanding.
