I do not understand why this doctor had my flu to see him when I’m pretty sure he could have determined his not wanting to treat me based on the X-ray he received weeks earlier. Also, he sent me on my own way with no actual referral, just a post it with two names. Everyone was friendly and professional, but I felt left out on the street after this visit.

I had a great experience at Alaska Oral Surgery Group! Doctor's local anesthesia was spot on and not overwhelming, everyone was friendly and accommodating, and Nicole (?) had the most clear explanations of all dentists assistants I've seen. She could make a great teacher as a back up career! Lol I would definitely come back, just hope i don't have to.

Megan was super in trying to book me for an immediate apptmt for extracting an infected molar. She kept working with me when TStevens airport forced a ground hold on all incoming regional airports during major snow storm. Rami was great for presurgery consultation and answeres all questions. Dr Szutz was excellent in extracting my tooth during the snow storm and when he had cancellation openings to extract my tooth.

This place has super friendly staff, they were incredibly helpful and great at explaining everything that was confusing to me. The woman who helped me check out even wrote me a note of all the things I have to do in order to make a surgery appointment because I struggle with remembering everything at doctor’s appointments. I think her name is Rin? That’s what it says on the note she wrote me, hopefully that’s right and thank you so much!

Promptly examined me and scheduled my surgery two working days later. Extraction was relatively painless and quick at 10AM. By 6PM bleeding had ceased and pain had diminished to levels that did not require opioids, Great job!! J.M. White Jr

I was referred to Alaska Oral Surgery Group by my regular dentist because they didn't have time to deal with my issue. Despite being a new patient I was able to get an appointment in just a few days. My first visit was simply for a consultation on options dealing with a fractured tooth. The visit was quick, informative, and left me feeling comfortable with my choice in dental practices; however, it got even better because when the doctor was working on scheduling my actual appointment for an extraction he discovered they had a cancellation. I was given the option of having the extraction done then and there or making another appointment in case i didn't have the time or the inclination to go through the procedure at that moment. I decided to go for it and had the extraction done. I won't pretend it was fun but the doctor was exceptionally kind and caring as well as informative of the process along the way. There were no surprises and he constantly checked with me on my comfort/pain level and responded appropriately. The procedure was quick and without drama. They made me an appointment for followup and I was on my way. I also received a followup call from the tech the next day checking to make sure I wasn't having any problems or issues, which I found refreshing. Nobody WANTS to go to the dentist but if you have to and you need the specialized care of an oral surgeon this is a great place to go.

The frond desk was very welcoming, and the doctor is so knowledgeable, friendly and has corny jokes. It makes for a really comfortable environment, where you know you are getting things done right. My concern is often that you go to some one who is inexperienced and they charge you for the visit and have no idea how to treat the issues. you will not get that here. complex surgeries or simple visits. This is a great place to go.

Dr. Szutz was so personable & friendly. He is one of the most gentle dentists I've ever met. He was most concerned about causing any pain and a very compassionate man. The staff appeared organized and efficient & I was impressed, with the young lady, who appeared to be the office manager.. Dr. Szutz was quite honest about any risks. Dr Szutz's assistant, who screens patients directly before seeing him, seemed unfamiliar with different medical terms & needed explanations, to comprehend. He was friendly & considerate, but appeared to be on a learning curve, for his job. Wasn't quite sure what his responsibilities were & the efficiency of his repetition, between the forms filled out & the doctor's discussion. Time with him was the longest.

I am a difficult case and I need a difficult implant. I was able to get a same day appointment for a consultation which was very thorough. Dr. Szutz was very patient and informative. I did not feel pressured to make any decisions at that time I felt respected and was treated like a person not just a mouth to work on. Regardless of how I proceed I was impressed with the initial consultation. I was impressed at everything from the folks that answered the phone to make my appointment, to the website that prepared us for the appointment, the kind front desk staff that took such good care of me & my paperwork during the COVID crisis, to the nurse Tito that took such gentle care of me from beginning to end. And finally, Dr. Brad - absolutely amazing. I hope I never have to go back but it is a relief to know that if I ever need them they are my doctors from now on. The staff were very friendly and welcoming in my first consultation. I've never had a procedure like removing my wisdom teeth before, so I was nervous going into it. They misspelled my name in their records, but it's understandable because my name is very intimidating, and they were very quick to fix it, so no hard feelings, and overall, they handled the situation very professionally, and I appreciated it. They were very informative, gave me a surgery estimate up front, so I knew the ballpark costs were before I made my decision and left me with almost no questions at the end of the appointment mainly because they explained my procedure to me very thoroughly-- both benefits and risks.

I CAN NOT SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT THIS PRACTICE FROM THE BEGINNING TO END. THE STAFF WERE PHENOMENAL AND I WAS TOLD EVERYTHING I NEEDED TO KNOW IN ORDER TO FEEL COMFORTABLE. THE PHYSICIAN AND HIS DENTAL STAFF WERE PHENOMENAL. HOWEVER, I DIDN'T LIKE THE IDEA OF BEING TOLD THERE WAS NOT ENOUGH TIME TO GET AN IDEA OF WHAT MY COVERAGE AND BENEFITS WOULD COVER ESPECIALLY WHEN I MADE THE APPOINTMENT 2 WEEKS PRIOR TO MY ARRIVAL. A BETTER ANSWER COULD HAVE BEEN GIVEN TO ME IN TERMS OF THE FINANCIAL SITUATION AND WHAT I WAS REQUIRED TO PAY.

Doctor Szutz and his assistant, Morgan, were very good at explaining the procedure prior to commencing and then keeping me apprised as it progressed. I experienced no pain during the procedure and minimal pain after the numbing went away. Post-procedure care was explained and written directions were also provided. I felt very comfortable that the care was top-notch.

Our daughter wasn't able to have her wisdom teeth pulled at our regular dentist and they were able to give us a consultation and get her in the next day. Our daughter had to have IV sedation, she can't handle needles in her mouth, all the people there were very accommodating and made her feel comfortable through the whole process. They even called afterwards to see if she was doing OK.

AK Oral Surgery Group is the BEST!!! I had an insurance deadline to get my wisdoms extracted, and they made their best efforts to fit me in within the time crunch. They truly cared about me as a patient and made me feel very confident in their practice. Doctor was great, medical staff was excellent, front desk staff were helpful and SWEET!!! 10/10 would recommend.

Very friendly and supportive staff. Our first visit was a 10+ in terms of being made to feel comfortable and to fully understand the upcoming procedure. I work remotely and needed surgery before returning to work 'up North.' They worked me into their schedule during my urgent need for surgery which possibly saved me an emergency trip home. As someone who has worked in medicine for 40 years, I can honestly say their surgeon and his staff should be held up as an example for all medical and dental offices. I rarely reply to these types of surveys. I cannot say enough good things about them.

After having a very bad experience at my previous providers office I was nervous about coming in for an appointment. As soon as i stepped in the door of the office from the front desk staff, Dental Assistant, and the Doctor himself everyone really mad my experience quite enjoyable. The Dr. Stutz was very thorough in his examination and honest with his recommendations. I was very impressed. If I ever need oral surgery again, this is the office I will come to! Everyone was AWESOME!

These guys were very friendly and fun...well almost fun...it is a dental visit. They put you at ease and in my case, I got immediate relief. I was referred to them and was seen seen the same day I was referred. I do expect to see them again should the need arise. All in all, very pleasant and relieving experience. I would strongly recommend their services! Good people!

I came in from out of town and had a little with lab work the day after I arrived and they did a great job of arranging the needed tests the day before my appointment. Great review of my past health problems and how they might impact my treatment. Phone follow up the next day on how I was doing after I got home. Fun energetic staff.

The staff at Alaska Oral Surgery Group is amazing! Helping to coordinate insurance billing and payments made an expensive process more affordable. From the time I first walked in everything was explained in detail, options discussed and I was allowed to make very informed decisions about my care plan. Dr. Szutz was great, always explaining procedure and treatment plan. My faith in his device/care provided to myself gave me confidence to bring my child in for wisdom teeth extraction. The option to have IV sedation was wonderful!
