Advanced Family Vision Optometry is absolutely amazing, from the staff to the Optometrists. Everyone there takes the time to address your needs; they are professional and friendly. They are there to listen and they have the most up to date machinery for your eye exams. Customer service is top notch. I feel relaxed when I'm there.

I've been seeing Dr. Tedder for several years now, after my original doctor fell out of my insurance plan, and am extremely happy with her and the office staff. Dr. Tedder is always on time, very informative and efficient. Her staff is kind and attentive Even though you are in and out so quickly, Dr. Tedder takes her time with you and never rushes you. And being in town is the extra bonus. I would highly recommend her!

The staff was friendly and engaging and explained things clearly. Gave me my documents in hand, that was a breath of fresh air. Dr. Tedder then went over the examination and any potential safeguards to be considered moving forward. The exam and engagement went very well. Everyone was very pleasant at the office. Dr. Kimberly saw me on time and then provided the prescription to Denise to help me with the choices I had. A few days later, I found out that my Supplement insurance with Medicare covers vision and hearing. So I called and Eva helped me. She said she would call me back after I gave her my insurance information. However, she did not. I waited a day and a half and called again and talk to Denise. She was very attentive, efficient and within 15 minutes she told me that that their office is out of network, but still I had coverage and save me over $200. She was very profesional, knowledgable and efficient. She was great!

This was my first visit here. The front staff is the nicest I've ever experienced. They were so friendly and helpful from beginning to end. Also, the machine they have that takes a picture of the back of your eye so you don't have to be dilated is awesome! It's totally worth the extra money to not be dilated all day. It was good. I little faster than I was used to for an eye appointment. BUT everyone was very nice and kind. I felt like I was expected to order glasses right then and there but I was only coming to get a prescription because I order glasses online. My old doctor always gave me my PD but when I got home I realized my PD wasn't measured and when I called and asked about that I was told that would have happened when I got measured for my glasses had I purchased them right there. That is okay for me since I happen to have an old prescription to go off of BUT my 14 yr old daughter had never had a prescription before so I'm a little bit miffed over having to figure that out for myself.

Dr Tedder is not only a fantastic doctor, she is so on top of eye care, not only for vision but overall health. She catches everything. I have floaters and the beginning of a cataract (at my age! Ugh) 😯. Beyond A doctor, she is kind, good heart and just an amazing person. This past year my husband past away from a sudden heart attack at the age of 51. Since then I’ve been in for my eye exams twice and she takes the time to sit with me and ask how I’m doing and will sit as long as I need. Even though in a year she’s not in my life daily, she has made a difference. I am so grateful to have her and her office staff. Thank you Dr Tedder and all the girls in your office!

Advanced Family Vision Optometry worked to squeeze us in. They rushed our glasses through, and we received them in plenty of time. Unfortunately, days later, I scratched my glasses, and panicked. But there was no need to worry. The team at Advance Family Vision Optometry jumped into action, and were able to replace them for me with only a day to spare before my move. The whole staff at this office is incredible. Dr. Tedder is knowledgeable and professional, and the rest of the staff is helpful, kind, and efficient. We will travel back from Europe to be seen in their office going forward!

My son had pain, itching, swelling in his eye and we found what looked like a sty. Called first thing and was able to get an appt in less than 2 hours. They diagnosed him quickly (turns out it was a severe allergic reaction - one that he had never had before), and he was back home in less than 30 mins with the medication he needed and was feeling better right away. Very appreciative of the quick and attentive service!

Both the front office staff were personable, attentive and knowledgable. I particularly appreciated that the doctor didn't pressure me into purchasing glasses from them and was supportive when I wanted to just get updated lenses in my current frames. You can tell the whole staff is authentically interested in what they do and helping their patients. My only complaint, which is very minor, is the doctor didn't measure my PD which made it difficult to explore frames with other businesses. Next time I go I will be sure to ask for this measurement. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area looking for a new optometrist.

This was my first visit to this office as a patient. My husband found this Dr online when looking for an in network eye Dr for our insurance. He had a very positive experience here and felt the exam was very comprehensive and thorough. I had only had eye appointments in the past for reading glasses, I made this appointment to talk about getting contacts for my distance vision. The staff is very helpful and friendly and really patient with me as it took what seemed like forever for me to put the contacts in-I would have thought they'd sent me home to work on getting them in but they stuck with me until I had success! Above and beyond what I could have hoped for!

LOVE this Optical Office! I felt welcome the minute I walked into the door. As I said on my Yelp review, I love this office and its staff. Dr. Tedder is amazing with patients and I definitely felt confident in her abilities and expertise. Everything is modern, and the computerized photography of the eyes to avoid dilation is something I've never been offered before. The front office gals Jamie (and the pregnant gal whose name escapes me) were professional and friendly. I felt like I had been coming there for years. So happy to have find a reliable optical office so close to home!

Fantastic Visit as always. The staff is friendly and personable. Dr Kimberly is great at what she does. She is patient, understanding, and ridiculously nice. She always makes sure to ask questions, to make sure she is getting a full understanding of any issues you are having. I always feel heard and taken care of when i go in for a visit. They are quick and efficient, so i'm never stuck waiting around for an appointment. I've never been able to relax in the big chairs in the waiting area because i'm never waiting long enough, but they few seconds I've gotten to sit in them... they are amazingly comfortable. I have never had a bad experience at this office and i highly recommend to anyone who likes being treated like a valued patient.

The staff was professional and courteous. The doctor was pleasant and very fast. Although this was a check up I believe I was in and out in less than 25 minutes from walking through the front door. The variety of frames was good and the fitting attendant advised me that she could order any Ray-Ban frame if I was able to provide a model number. Good to know.

Front office was very friendly from the moment I walked in. Was able to see the doctor nearly immediately after finishing my paperwork and initial eye tests. Eye exam went well, everything was explained well and my options always presented to me. In the past with other doctors I always felt Like I was in the dark with how much my insurance covered (or even what they covered) and never felt like I was given an adequate breakdown of what I was paying for when buying new glasses. That was certainly NOT the case here. They explained what my insurance covered, how much and what I would be paying for. On top of all that my new glasses came in less than a week! I had a great experience from start to finish and can’t recommend Advanced Family Bision enough.

I was very pleased with our visit. This was the first time I took my children, 7 and 10, for an eye exam. Dr. Le was awesome with my youngest, who doesn't like to have ANYTHING in her eyes, and she was very responsive to my children. The staff was also very attentive and helpful. I love Dr. Tedder! She is kind, professional and she cares. I really wish I got the same kind of care from the staff. I walk through the door and before I make 1 step in I get asked "what can we do for you" in a tone that clearly could care less about what they can do for me and the answer to which I have no intention of answering until I reach the desk. I am not going to tell the whole reception area why I am there. Just one of those things that does not start off a good visit to the doctor office. The other issue for me is that I do not have vision insurance so everything must be paid by me personally and it is always assumed that I have insurance and should simply agree to every procedure without explanation.

I have ALWAYS been very satisfied with the care I have received from Dr Tedder and staff, so satisfied I referred a coworker! As usual Dr Tedder was thorough, kind and professional! I cannot say the same for staff. The staff was kind, I really do appreciate that. But not efficient or professional. When my coworker said she wasn't thrilled with the ladies at the front, I was surprised! She did not go into detail so I went in without question. But when I asked about the billing something didn't sound right. I had to call my VSP to clarify a charge! I was NEVER given the option, nor was the $31 copay explained, except for "no, this is the copay for lenses under your plan". To say the least I was not happy I had to go through the extra leg work for this. My young adult children may not be so willing, and they shouldn't have to. I hope that the practice of giving details of billing is more forthcoming!

The insurance copay you paid was for a lens upgrade that is always optional and again we are sorry if that was not thoroughly explained as an option. Everyone in the office is very friendly and attentive. My son is a squirmy 5 year old and Dr. Tedder was super sweet and patient. I loved the way she did his eye exam and played fun games with him to help him coopperate. She is awesome and so is the staff. We are so glad we came here. We are new to this office. Dr Tedder and the new gal who helped us order glasses who was still training was good but the rest of the experience was not good at all. Ladies at the front desk were very unorganized. I was asked for my information twice by two different ladies. The gal who helped set up the appointment on the phone seemed she did not know what she was doing. I was never told there was a charge for a contact exam. I told her on the phone we needed a contact exam. Nobody knew we were scheduled for one when we showed up and even then I was not told until after that there was a $60 charge. Then to top it off the lady who was training the gal who was helping us order was one on the rudest people I have dealt with. So much so that I may cancel my appointment I have scheduled. My husband who went there for the first time a month ago had the same experience with that gal and is not going back. Dr seems great but office staff are not. We wanted a local eye dr but after this experience we will be going back to Our eye dr in Simi Valley

Advanced Family Vision is an outstanding office!! Dr Tedder is wonderful, as well as her staff. I was called back on-time for my office visit and was not rushed through my exam. I highly recommend doing the pictures of your eves instead of the traditional exam when they put the drops in your eyes. So much better, as there is no vision problems while the drops wear off. The office staff assisted me in picking out my glasses and helped to keep the costs withing budget. If you go here, you will not be disappointed!
