This was my first visit and I couldn’t have bedn happier with the service I received. The staff was friendly and courteous and the Dr. was kind and gave a very helpful explanation of what he was doing and why. I appreciated that he was honest about what he could do and didn’t just try to sell me some glasses. He also gave recommendations for what I should do next and who to see which was very much appreciated.

I told the Doctor that my main concern was to see close up because I only need glasses for driving at night, which I rarely do. He suggested getting bifocals and I told him I was not interested in bifocals. He only checked my eyes for distance. When the exam was over, I asked him what strength of glasses I needed for close up so I could get a pair at the drug store, and he told me he couldn't tell me because the exam did not show that. I have had many eye exams, and have always had my close up vision checked.

I appreciate an eye doctor appointment that doesn't keep me waiting and being in and out in roughly 20 minutes was fantabulous for a contact lens exam. I also appreciate "Dr. Shock" being able to fit me with contacts that I actually need, and not previous eye docs have tried to shoehorn me into. This is why I keep coming back.

We have been to Dr Schacherer before. We always feel welcomed when we enter the office. We are given the pre-exam screenings. When these are done we are shown into the exam room and Dr Schacherer takes over. After the eye exam he explains what he found and makes recommendations. He clearly answers any questions we have. This visit involved picking out new frames for our glasses and measuring for new lens. Tammy is always friendly and helpful. She helped us pick out new frames, took the necessary measurements and completed the paperwork to order our new glasses. All in all, our appointment was pleasant and we will continue to see Dr Schacherer for our vision needs. Our visit to Wylie Vision Care went smoothly and we left feeling well taken care of.

I really liked my new eye doctor, however the office person would not share my pupil measurement with me when I asked for a copy of my prescription because i might order glasses at a cheaper price online. I usually will order a pair at the place where I got my exam, but I think next time I will just get my prescription and go down the street to buy my glasses where they will share my pupil measurement to buy my frames and lenses. I will still see Dr. Schacherer though for my exam he is amazing.

I had some vision loss the night before making an emergency appointment with Dr. Schacherer the next morning. I explained over the phone my eye symptoms with his friendly staff and they scheduled me within 30mins to see the Dr. I truly thought I was just having migraine problems, however after the Dr. did a thorough exam, it was determined I was having a stroke. Dr. sent me to my PCP, where soon I was admitted into the hospital, where they confirmed the stroke and was able to get me treated. I’m forever grateful for this man’s expertise in his profession. Thank you so much!

His knowledge of the things that influence or infringe on clear eyesight is far reaching and his eyeglass prescriptions are always spot on! I haven't seen an Optometrist in 10 years and had to come in for an emergency appointment with a piece of wire stuck all the way up in the top of my eyelid and he really helped me. Dr. Schacherer is fantastic with my 13 year old who needs to be seen every 6 months as her eye site just keeps getting worse. He makes her feel comfortable with every appointment affirming her it is normal (for a teen this is important!). One of the best parts of his office is the personalized service, it is just amazing. My mom and I were confused on what was covered thru our insurance. The girl who checked us out was new and just gave us an amount and I wanted a breakdown of what I was getting for the amount I was paying, Then we had to wait for awhile to talk to the glasses lady because we had a question. We want to come back and get glasses and she said we had 2 weeks to do that. We usually have always had a pleasant experience but not this time.

Dr. Schacherer and the entire staff were very friendly and easy to work with. I waked in and was immediately greeted by everyone in the room. I filled out my paperwork quickly and was taken in to the first room to discuss why I was there. I then opted for photos of my eyes $29.00 option but by doing this I didn't need to have my eyes dialed and examined. I then took a short survey on health and eyes on a PC then was taken to meet the doctor. Dr. Schacherer was very friendly and we had a good conversation as we reviewed the photos of my eyes. We reviewed my situation and then he did his tests and we finally found a prescription for my glasses. I then met with the lady who helped me get my frames and got them set for them to be made. I had a very good experience and fully recommend Dr. Craig Schacherer and his practice.

Dr Schacherer listens to your visual problems and works with you to give you the best eye care he can. He is very knowledgeable and will explain any question you might have. The staff is very friendly also. Tammy has helped me with my glasses and is so helpful. My vision not very good, she has bent over backwards to help me find what looks good on me.

Wylie Vision Care is the only place I would go for my yearly eye exam. The doctor is personable and listens to your concerns. My favorite part is interacting with the ladies at the front desk. Great experience! Dr. Schacherer was very thorough and explained every step. He addressed my concerns and offered a couple of solutions for me too chose from. Very nice and professional. And the ladies in the office were great! Friendly, informative and they too addressed any questions and concerns I had. I felt very comfortable, like I had known them for a long time. Grace explained her part of the exam every step of the way and Tammy (?) was able to offer me the exact kind of frames I was looking for. And made sure I knew what all the charges were and what was covered by my insurance. Don't think I have ever felt so comfortable and well informed with an eye exam-and I've been wearing glasses a long time. I have already recommended them to my neighbor. Thank you!

I had an unexpected eye infection and Wylie Vision Care was able to schedule me in on Saturday morning with very little warning. The appointment was exactly on time and I was thoroughly examined and out of the office quickly. My infection is getting better quickly.

A great place to have your eyes examined. I have been seeing Dr. Schacherer for over 5 years now. Dr. is very pleasant while doing all the tests and communicates well while explaining what he is doing and why. His staff is very friendly and attentive. They also explain your benefits and your cost once you have chosen your glasses. Just a great place to go if you need your eyes checked for any reason. Even if you don't need glasses, there are many other reasons to have your eyes routinely checked.

optomap was an option last time I was there, my visit was very expensive. My insurance paid $200.00 on my $328.00 contacts. Ins. covers routine exam for $0 copay. With ins. I paid $281.00. Next year I only have $100.00 coverage on contacts.

Love the Dr, the staff, the service, and care given when I come in. Always have..... My only problem is the inventory and prices of the glasses/frames. Honestly, it costs me half as much to get glasses at one of the "big box" eyeglass places. I understand that yawl are a small shop in comparison and there is no getting around the cost thing due to volume. I try to stay away from "big Box" shops on everything I do, even if i have to spend a little more. The difference in glasses/frames is just to much for me and my budget. My apologies for having to shop elsewhere, but I will not go anywhere else for my exams.
