Dr. Brown and Liz, the technician who performed my exam, were both very considerate and helpful in answering all my questions about the exam and the condition of my eyes, and Dr. Brown was very patient with me during the part where they compare the effects of different corrective lens strengths on your vision; I always have to look at each option 2 or 3 times, and I appreciate her willingness to let me take my time in deciding whether I see a difference. Every staff member I interacted with was very friendly and courteous, which made my eye exam a very pleasant experience. Thank you, Woodlands Eye Associates!

Having been a patient for almost 6 years, it pains me to give this subpar feedback. Dr. Wright is an awesome optometrist and a super nice guy! However it’s the women at the front desk that seem to be the problem (with the exception of Miss Karen who is great). These other 3 women cannot get their act together, and are also kind of rude and snippy. I’ll start by saying that so am a ocd super punctual person and am always early for appointments. Having said that, I do understand that waiting 10 to 15 minutes after your appointment was scheduled is somewhat expected. However In the beginning that was the case. Then it was 20 to 30 minutes. The past year (post covid) it’s been getting worse. This last time I sat for over an hour waiting. Until finally I’d had enough. I told the receptionist that I would re-schedule when I had time. I had to get back to work. Time is important to me. That’s how I make my living, by the hour. So as much as I really like Dr. Wright, I will be finding another facility that’s closer to home and that will understand and respect my time and money.

Dr. Wright is great. The front office staff is unresponsive and inaccurate. I needed a copy of my contact lense prescription, and it took several days and several tries for the staff to get it right. They kept sending the spectacle prescription, not the contact lense prescription.

I came in for an annual eye examination, and Dr. Brown and the staff were very polite and answered my questions. My thanks to them. However, when I got to the other side of their office to discuss purchasing glasses, I was very disappointed that the quote they provided for the exact same glasses I purchased a year ago was hundreds of dollars higher. I understand they’re in business to make money, but the higher quote seemed extreme to me, even considering inflation. This is my main complaint. When it came time to check out and pay for my exam which my insurance helps to cover, it was twice the cost of what I have typically paid for exams at other providers. I was told my insurance did not include a plan that covered the cost for the refraction and prescription. I have read up on this and now understand it, but it might help if they would share that information before the exam.

Dr. Wright was attentive and thorough. The nurse(?) who did the procedures prior to meeting with Dr. Wright was quite abrupt. Also, the prescription glasses are extremely expensive. I realize that the eye glasses industry is a monopoly (except for Warby Parker) but to be customer focused, finding alternatives would be a great service to your patients.

WEA is a first-class operation. I have always appreciated their attention to detail, from the admins at check-in/check-out plus the medical support staff assisting the optometrists. In addition to being served very well for my typical needs, Dr. Kaufman "jumped through the hoop" for me when I experienced a corneal ulcer. I wish him the very best in life as he retires from the practice. I have been a patient of Dr. Wright for some time now and the transition between providers was seamless - I felt no difference in the feeling of professionalism/quality of care. I have been coming here for over 20 years and never felt rushed or dismissed before. What kind of an eye doctor only checks one eye? I went in because I suspected an eye infection. Doctor explained nothing just prescribed eye drops. When I got home I googled what his assistant said I have only to find out it is not curable only manageable. Didn’t I deserve to be told that information?

I hate having to wear glasses and have discussed laser surgery, with him on many occasions, but he’s always said o wasn’t a good candidate. As far as my examination went, I was satisfied. I haven't filled the prescription yet, but I'm fairly certain that it will do. When it comes to the personnel that work there, I was not happy at all one of the receptionists at the front desk. I was asking a question of the person that was checking me in and the person next to her snapped her head around and took it upon herself to answer me in a loud and rude manner. Due to this incident alone I will not return to this office and that is why I did not purchase my glasses or contacts there.

The optometrist I had been seeing for the past few years moved on so I was forced to find a new doctor who also took my insurance and was qualified to do opthamological exams since I had recently had cataract surgery, and I found these guys. Man, I lucked out. Being able to do all of my new patient paperwork online before my appointment saved a lot of time, and they had confirmed my insurance before I arrived so I knew what to expect. They called me back within five minutes of my appointment and they didn't waste my time making me sit alone in the exam room. Dr. Brown was very thorough and double-checked her work. There was one instance where her equipment was telling her one thing but my eyesight was saying something else, and she took the time to figure out the discrepancy and got my vision correction right. She was very personable and I hope I'm able to work with her again. Then after the exam I went to the optical department to order my lenses and when I pulled out a set of frames I wanted them to use, they didn't blink. They acted as if they weren't disappointed that I had bought my own frames and wouldn't be buying one from them. I was treated right in every phase of the experience and now I'm just waiting on my new glasses.
