The doctor is very knowledgeable about eye care, including various contact lenses. He answers all my questions, and gives me simple ways to improve the health of my eyes. He also tells me what to expect as my cataracts progress and explains surgical solutions.

I did really enjoy the doctor and nurses, and would say 10 for recommending, though I feel a little hard sold on some new Office Lense glasses. I don't really need a new pair of glasses, and I'm wondering if I'm even going to like or need them. And it is so expensive to do all that.

Very professional, very thorough. My mom is 95 years old with poor hearing and eyesight. The staff and doctor were patient with her, went through her options, and although there wasn't much they could do for her, she came away with the knowledge that she, and they, had done everything possible. Dr. Bolenbaker was the fourth doctor she has seen, but she is finally accepting the fact that her eyesight is currently as good as it will ever be.

Dr. Bolenbaker and his team are thoughtful and genuinely listen to any concerns I have. The Dr. is very knowledgeable and I trust my eyes and vision with him and his team. I had Lasik 3 times in my left eye and one in my right so I am a complicated patient to treat for contacts. He has worked with me for over a year to find the right fit and it hasn’t been easy, but he has stuck with me and done an amazing job. I appreciate having someone like him and his team to assist me.

I wanted an eye doctor who would do a thorough eye exam but also have knowledge about contact lens and medical issues such as cataracts. He exceeded my expectations. He showed me the stage of cataracts on my eyes, and showed me how my warped contacts had affected my eyes. The other staff was also very good, helping me by suggesting glasses that I wouldn’t have thought of, and explaining how long the dilation would last.

Typically have an optometrist at any eye care that provides a decent evaluation. What is a challenge is the eye glasses ordering process. Staff tend to be either unable to follow a process that works to order correct prescription glasses or they're just passive-aggressive and don't care. They don't seem to respect customer's time and conduct their tasks in a way requiring a customer to phone in and make multiple visits to complete an order. Also staff should warn patients prior to performing exam services that aren't covered by their insurance instead of charging them after its completed.

Most thorough exam I've ever had. Issues found were backed up by images taken during the appointment. An appropriate care plan was put in place and follow up is scheduled. Dr. Bolenbaker and his office are extrememly professional and helpful. I have been suffering with dry eye for several years and seen many eye docs about it. Dr. Bolenbaker is the first one who has provided significant improvement. His office is efficiently run, but he is still able to spend time with his patients, explaining options and answering questions. I went there hoping for scleral lenses, but he was able to take a conservative approach and bring much needed improvement without going that route. Even though there were some snafus with ordering the contacts I ended up with, the staff was very quick to remedy the situation. Highly recommend this office and Dr. Bolenbaker!

I was trying to find a new optometrist. From my first phone call, I was impressed with his office. My eye appointment was the best I've ever experienced at an optometrist's office and I am 74 yrs old. The exam was more thorough than any I've ever had and I learned about a condition I've evidently had for years but has never been diagnosed, until now. I have avoided eye exams because of unpleasant experiences but that has now changed. Dr. B. took a great deal of time explaining everything. The entire office staff is very friendly, organized and upbeat and he is a true professional. I am so thankful that I found his practice.

He has always gone the extra mile to respond after hours, provide additional reports and letters, contact other doctors to discuss treatment plans, etc. He was and is such a wonderful advocate for his patients. Very caring and great with small children. We are beyond blessed to have him as my children's doctor. Now, due to his help and support, my child's vision has improved leaps and bounds. It was my first time coming into this place and I loved how friendly the staff was and very knowledgeable. Some constructive criticism I have is to give warning about having eyes dilated because I drove myself there not knowing I was going to be dilated and had to call a friend for a ride after and come get my car later because I couldn’t see safely to drive. Other than that everything was perfect and I will stick with this as my first choice for eye exams!

Very good, didn't leave with any unanswered questions. I'm a pretty straightforward patient, didn't feel like anyone tried to make me purchase something that I didn't need. The Doctor explained everything very well, and made sure I was comfortable with the process going forward. He let me deiced what I wanted to do while making sure I understood my options. My roommate was a patient first and we both agree, this clinic is very good and knowledgeable. They also provided me with a copy of my prescription, this allows me to look at other retail outlets for eye glasses. I like a very specific brand not carried by everyone. I choose to go to the Visionary Eye Center despite this, I would rather have a good Doctor then a stylish pair of glasses. I can find the glasses myself.

Dr. Bolenbaker is very impressive! He read the report from my previous ophthalmologist carefully, asking detailed questions, and was clearly interested in gaining as complete a picture as possible of everything having to do with my vision, not limiting himself simply to providing a prescription for new lenses. His care is demonstrated by even such a detail as the fact that he's the first in my decades of experience who, after determining a new prescription, had me look first through the previous prescription and then through the new one to be sure that there was a notable improvement. When tests didn't seem to be adequate, he immediately had them redone. He's clearly extremely knowledgeable, and presents options while explaining their relative merits and disadvantages. I'm absolutely delighted to have found him!

I called for a last minute appointment and was seen the same day. I had an unknown eye infection and felt I needed to see an eye doctor immediately. Approximately two years ago my daughter was visiting from Michigan. She had new glasses that clearly had not been adjusted properly. We saw this office and just randomly dropped in. The young lady spent about 30 minutes adjusting the glasses for us, but would not accept any payment. So it was a no brainer to pick this office whenI needed a new eye dr. Not only was the lovely young lady still there and helpful, so was the entire staff. The dr gave me the most thorough exam ever. He spoke to me like a friend, not an ignorant layman. My entire experience was fabulous!
