New technology just amazes me. Besides the normal eye equipment there is 2 new machines I've never ever seen before. So spectacular to experience these. One took a picture of my eyeball and I got to see it.. the whole thing. Every detail was explained where I could understand it. I have never been to such a comfortable setting with such friendly people. The Doctor is a super nice and really explains things well. This place shines above them all!

I would highly recommend Vision Source of Hugo to anyone needing an Optometrist. I was originally told by another Optometrist that I would not be able to see out of contacts as well as glasses, because I use bifocals for reading. I was never given the chance to wear them. Dr. Edwards, after his exam, explained why I was a good candidate for contacts. Dr. Edwards took his time during my appointment, and fitted me with contacts, then Crystal took her time showing me how to put them in, and take them out. I can now sit at my desk, see my computer, and my work! Thank you Vision Source!

This appointment was my first experience with Vision Source of Hugo. From the moment I walked in the door, I felt welcomed. Check in was easy. Leah was very nice through the whole appointment. Dr. Edwards was very professional, personable, and extremely thorough. He didn't rush me through the exam like others in the past. He had me try one set of contacts and then had Leah do another vision test to see how they were. He made a small adjustment to the prescription and had me try a second set of contacts then had Leah do another vision test. I've not had that level of care anywhere else I have gone in the past. It's usually just "here, try these and let us know" So far I'm happy with the contacts I was given to try. Crystal was very kind as well and answered all of my questions about frames. Over all this was a great experience.

Welp, I'm a writer sooo this will probably be long winded. Why email me this and not call? I enjoyed chatting with everyone there. I thought the visit was top notch. I have no experience and everyone was great. The doc took the time to explain everything. The woman that helped me try on dozens of pairs of glasses was kind and patient and I appreciated her too. This was easily one of the best doctor appointments I ever had. Since though- I didn't at all feel like there was a desire to get me my glasses and if I didn't call at 12:30 on a Friday and offer to drive there before 1pm, would I have had to wait til Monday? I asked for a prescription because my sister told me I should and I didn't wholly know why. One was printed and given to me. She laughed and said that's not it- you're missing numbers! And then sent me her prescription and links to websites that sell glasses where someone might input prescriptions and while I was given a paper with three numbers, all those sites require about a dozen. I felt like a fool. You got your sale from me, what's the motivation there? I'm super sick of having headaches and had such high hopes for the glasses. When I first tried them on, I explained that they felt odd and there was a weird edge I could see- almost dreamy, blurry, sparkly. She said oh that was my eyes and I needed to give it time to get used to it. Welp, it's been four days and I've had to take the glasses off every single day with a mind-numbing headache. I'm angry. I went there with bad headaches and vision issues and they got worse. I don't know how. It was my first visit. I have no experience. I can't rate if you used some machine well or if they made the glasses poorly or...I have zero knowledge here. It's 9pm though and I'm wearing some cheap sunglass readers inside my home as if I'm some drunk with a wicked hangover. I don't know what's wrong here, but I'm certainly not please I spent 5-600 to feel worse.

I was visiting family in Hugo recently and got something in my left eye which led to severe pain and discomfort. I contacted their office, explained my discomfort and was giving a appointment within 2 hrs of my call. I was greeted and treated with outstanding service from the front desk to Dr. Edwards. The true care for my eye was their utmost objective! The Dr even requested me to return the next morning before my departure to insure I would be safe to travel (not drive). Besides giving me his personal cell number in case of an emergency I was never treated so kindly! Thanks and God Bless!

Always friendly. Clean office and feels like family when you go in. I had a slight emergency ended up being an ulcer on my eye. Called Monday morning. They said come right in and we'll get you in. I got there and was seen and out in maybe 30 min. I was super happy!

I have gone to Dr. Edwards since I was 12 years old. My mom told me she originally took me to their office because they were so caring when I had an accident with my eyes when I was a young child so when it came time that I needed my vision checked that's where she went. I am now 31 years old and have continued to see Dr. Edwards and the staff at Vision Source for 19 years. They are all so caring and willing to give there time to make sure my vision is at it's best. I would recommend them to anyone!!!

Our family has just moved to the area from another state and left a fantastic children's optometrist. My kids were apprehensive about a new doctor, but they really liked Vision Source. The doctor is knowledgeable as well as personable and quickly put my kids and me at ease. The staff is also kind. I am embarrassed to need government assistance at this time for our children, and the staff did not treat me poorly for using it and also explained how it works with regard to vision care.

The services and people are great, the billing procedures not so much. When I called to make the appointment I asked if you could tell me what my copay was. I was told it would be between 10 and 30 dollars but there was no way of knowing until my insurance was ran. After the appointment I was charged $52.50 and was given a receipt that did not explain what the charges were for, more specifically how much my copay was and how much my Insurance covered. When I asked about an itemized receipt I was told that it could not be provided until Dr. Edwards completed my chart. If this is the case then how did you know how much to charge me at the counter. This is my biggest issue with all of this I have some options on which eye care insurance to take each year If I cannot see what I am paying for versus what my insurance is paying I cannot make a good financial choice for my family. I also am now concerned that I have been charged for a service that my insurance does not cover because it was over 30.00 and I was not given the option to opt out. This may be all above board however I have not been to any doctor, dentist, or Optometrist that I did not know how much my out of pocket expense would be or how much my insurance covers, and be surprised at every visit of my out of pocket expense.

My first visit was the most grande. Very respective and kind employees, who helped me in many many ways. First impression was an amazing feeling; with a kind greeting from all employees. Doctor is my new favourite. Explained every question and concern in depth and on an understandable basis. Made sure to ask my questions to make sure I understood the concerns. Also, has told me things about my eyes that no other doctors have. Staff is very kind and professional throughout the entire process.

The visit with the Dr was excellent and he gave me hope that I might wear contacts again. He fitted me with contacts, but they were not right. It took 2 weeks to get to talk to someone and then they had to order the sample contacts. Instead of me picking them up I had to make ANOTHER appointment to put in the sample in ANOTHER week! I'm not sure this is going to work out and am very disappointed that it's taking (at this point) a whole month with no answer whether this will work. I feel like my business doesn't matter and not feeling like I will come back again.

Dr Edwards is the ONLY eye Dr that I will take my family to. He takes his time and makes sure that you are a part/ understand every process that goes into your treatment. I liked the appointment to an extent. However, my doctor was making conversation and asking me about my future schooling and told me I was making huge mistakes and was going to ruin my life. I didn't appreciate it, at all. That was the only problem I had. Everyone else was very friendly.

I received a statement of all charges, but didn't understand them and I need a receipt showing that I put $100 on my glasses order, but cannot find this amount anywhere on the statement. I will be calling in for this payment amount. I do a monthly budget with my mortgagor & need proof that I paid the $100. Just didn't notice the amount not reflected on the statement I received until I got home that evening. This is no gripe, just an oversight I made.

Vision Source of Hugo is the perfect hometown eye care medical office. During my visit, I was greeted with warm, friendly smiles and immediate attention; my insurance benefits were explained as well as my payment responsibility; the eye care assistant was courteous and explained the procedures and tests thoroughly; the doctor was very kind & professional explaining the tests, results and recommended treatments in detail. - I require special attention from my eye care physician because a medication I take has potential side effects that may cause vision damage. I am comforted in knowing I can receive that professional attention from a truly caring hometown physician & equally caring staff. We are privileged to have such an outstanding medical team in Hugo, OK.

The only suggestion I would make based on my experience would be to ensure that customers are informed when scheduling their eye exam that additional charges could apply if the routine exam results in the discovery of a secondary issue. Other than that, I have to say that everyone from the receptionist to the Doctor to the one (Crystal) that assisted me with frames, etc. were professional, knowledgeable, friendly and a pleasure.
