From the moment I called to make an appointment, to the moment we walked out with my daughters prescription, we were well cared for! Dr. Brown is AMAZING and a mom herself. She made my 7-year-old daughter’s first eye exam so easy. My daughter is wiggly and silly and Dr. Brown worked around it impressively. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. I was pleasantly surprised that I could make a next-day appointment. It was important to me to have Optomap imaging and I was pleasantly surprised to be able to be in control of the shutter. The eye exam more than meet my expectations. I used an eyelid foam this morning that was recommended and my eyes feel better than they have in months.

Everything seemed to go fine. but I was not told that I would not be seeing Dr. Brown, when I made the appt. I made it with her. The other Dr. was good, but in the future I would appreciate it if I could see her. If she is not available then change my appt. date. I realize her parents were in town, that is fine, they have been in town a while and she knew she was not going to be in when I made the appt. I am not angry just stating facts, this could have been handled better.

Nonody helped me with picking put frames. There were 2 girls standing there chatting to each other, i took frames over there, she had me put em on put dots on lenses and that was it. When i returned to get them i had contacts in so i couldnt see a issue with them as everything was blurry from contacts. Get home and they r bent dont fit my face right and i cant see out of them when i take contacta out. Very disappointed as i love eye mart prices and speedy delivery. This trip was terrible.

We apologize that we have not exceeded your expectations and most of all failed to provide you an exam in a timely fashion. Unfortunately, there are situations in which certain patients may require more time than expected depending on that individual's specific needs... But, we are training our staff to be more informative to our other scheduled appointments if there will be a longer wait than anticipated upon check-in. If we failed to do so with you, our sincerest apologies. We will try harder in the future. As for the space concern, we are thankful to have had Costco remodel twice for us already, and are currently exploring other options. Dr. Brown was professional, thorough and very observant. She realized things before I did. She also helped me with an issue I have been dealing with the last few years that was ignored by another doctor. The rest of the staff was extremely courteous and attentive.

Arrived at 3:35 for 3:45 appointment. The tiny waiting room was full with no seating available. The receptionist appeared to be new and tried her best but seemed lost. The tech who did the first part of the The receptionist was a disaster and the tech who did the pre-exam exam had a difficult time taking the photos of my eyes - she seemed to not know how to use the cameras properly. At about 4:20 I went in for the exam. The Dr.? or technician who performed the actual exam seemed to be very skilled and businesslike. All in all I have had worse service and I felt like the $150 charge was reasonable. Still professionalism was lacking. My last visit to this vendor was as professional as this one was slipshod.

I apologize for the lack of professionalism at our front desk - there is NO excuse for that, EVER. Regardless, we have been hiring and training new people to accommodate our growth and strive to hire great, friendly people. With that in mind, we have also made immediate changes to our staff training policy and hope to better 'mold' each staff member to be skilled and confident in all areas. We are working constantly to improve our overall patient experience, but realize we have failed to meet your expectations at your last visit. Our Total EyeCare experience was about average. I thought the wait time was a little long. It seemed like the transition from lunch breaks was a little less than smooth. I thought the dress code was a little too casual, altho they keep it pretty chilly in there for what ever reason, everyone has to wear sweaters. The doctor was very personable, but a little confused on the computer system. I thought our savings would be a little higher and then didn't find any frames we liked for the glasses and had to go to another place to order. We will see how the prescription works for us, whether we will be back.

Thank you for taking the time to help make us better with your comments. We just updated the dress code in our employee manual, as we also felt it was too 'slack'. As for the computer system - you are EXACTLY CORRECT - it is taking all of our doctors a lot longer to learn, and it is certainly taking the staff a lot longer to input all the data we gather. We feel strongly that the benefits of an electronic medical records system far out weigh our old paper charts, and we are working constantly to improve our efficiency. We appreciate everyone's patience with us as we continue to learn and get more efficient with data entry. We are working hard to give all of our patients a thorough, accurate, and efficient examination, in hopes of EXCEEDING expectations... Thanks again for all your feedback.

This office utilized contemporary equipment that provided quick results. My eye exam was performed expediently and professionally. The staff were all welcoming and friendly. Following the exam, the optical center staff were very helpful in helping me to pick out new glasses. My glasses arrived in just two days. The cost of the exam along with two pair of glasses was very reasonable. This was an enjoyable experience for me and I can recommend Total EyeCare, PC with confidence in a positive result.

I am anxiously awaiting another trial pair of contacts to arrive. As it stands right now, I cannot make out any words in the distance with the left contact and when I try and see with both eyes it is blurry. I sure hope I can see better with the next pair otherwise I am going to request another test of prescription. The associate almost seemed like she didn't believe me when I told her it was blurry. I didn't care for that.

My insurance options were not explained to me until half way through my visit. Had I known my insurance was not accepted there I would not have gone (it was accepted last year). Throughout my visit with the doctor, there were several employees walking in and out for various reasons. Unrelated to work discussions took place in my presence during my visit with the doctor. Very unprofessional, in my opinion, compared to other visits. Just because you knock before entering doesn't mean you can come in. I Will not go back nor recommend this business.

First, I do sincerely apologize about the insurance. I do train the staff to ask this on the phone & upon check in. This will be addressed again at our weekly staff meeting. (We did not bill insurance last year, so I do not understand how yours was billed. Regardless, I do apologize). THANK-YOU for taking the time to address these legitimate concerns with us, ultimately it will make us better.

Getting another exam room was great but you need to remodel to have a waiting area. Having to sit out in the eye glass area is not good. Also there is no room to check in/out if there is more than 1 person doing so.

I apologize, but we are NOT COSTCO...Costco Optical sells the glasses & contact lenses. Total EyeCare (us) does all the exams & eye health related things. It was our office when you walked inside that door, and i am glad to hear that we took care of you promptly. :)

Thank you for your comment, & since we have had other comments about our lack of waiting room I thought I would address the matter. Firstly, we do LOVE being inside Costco BUT space is a premium in here...Costco is aware that a waiting area would be great BUT we remain SO THANKFUL for what they HAVE ALREADY DONE FOR US. As our business has grown, they have graciously expanded twice already in the past 5 years, giving us a new exam room each time (so we now have 3 FULLY EQUIPPED offices/exam rooms within our main office). As I have traveled to other costcos, most have only ONE exam room & patients often wait on those couple of chairs in the optical. Because we were having to turn patients away on a daily basis, we opted to give up our tiny 4 chair waiting area, for the third exam room (where patients had to sit facing each other, almost knee to knee)...NOW, we are getting very close to achieving our initial goal - NO WAIT!!! (The goal is to have each patients room ready & sanitized when they arrive...do most of the preliminary testing in that room...then print out their prescription & receipt in that same room). Because we CANNOT predict exactly how long each exam will take, or if any eye emergencies will arise, there may be some instances where a room is not ready immediately. In these situations, patients can take a "buzzer" and relax in the food court or shop in the store. Thanks you for your business and for taking the time to comment and help make us better. Totally dissatisfied. after a 20+ minute wait in the examining room I received a brief exam and was advised to seek treatment else ware. I was charged a $75 fee. Wow, I am a small business owner and would never charge a customer if I could not help them. I have been a patient for a long time but will never be back. Thanks for nothing!!!!

From the get Go.i made my Appointment via a Phone Call. the person who help me make my Appointment was Great. when i Arrived at my Appointment i was given the paperwork i needed to fill out. i ask a question about one item that had to do with Insurance. i already knew my Insurance it's not Accepted at Costco. she said oh we will give you the paperwork for you to send it to your own Insurance and get them to paid you what ever it is they cover. i was Very Impressed . at my Consultation everyone was super nice. they offer me coffee / water . they really know what to do to make the person feel at Ease. the completion was great. i got a great care. great Glasses. and a wonderful Staff that took Great Care of me while i was There. you guys make us feel like a million Bucks. The tech said they would email my results to me and I never received them. I felt the Dr spent more time selling me supplements than examining my eyes. The tech did the work and she basically went with what the machine said my Rx was.

Unfortunately, there was a typo in the first email, so we contacted you via email, and quickly sent another one which you should have received already. As for the equipment, we do have very modern & highly technical instruments that are very accurate...However, I always check the old prescription and compare it to the new readings and still fine tune from there with my own refraction. This is much more accurate and efficient than 15 years ago. Regardless, my intent is never to make anyone feel hurried or shortchanged, and I apologize that you felt that way. My techs are very well trained & gather a TON of information for me before I even enter the room. It is VERY time-consuming to do all these tests (as you saw) , and my time is better spent analyzing the data, than gathering it (as this is what I have been specially trained to do. As for selling supplements, I DON'T sell supplements here. However, I do feel strongly that ALL my patients need to be aware of "NRf2 activation"... this technology is going to ABSOLUTELY change the medical field as a whole. My intent was to educate you, not to sell you anything. We work very hard to exceed people's expectations, and I am sorry that we didn't with you.

Most patients should have an eye health check every year, and it is the law for contact lens patients to have an exam every year. That said, we certainly have written two year prescriptions on a case by case basis (at the doctors discretion, after reviewing that persons eye health record).... We did confirm with Dr. Brown that we could extend yours for 2 years, & it is noted on your file.

Since the waiting area has been remodeled, it is way too small. Patients feel cramped and there is not enough room for them. It is awkward having an exam area behind a curtain right next to the waiting patients. There is absolutely no privacy.

We actually no longer have a waiting room, as we added a third fully-equipped exam room to accommodate the growing needs of our practice. Our IMMEDIATE goal is to have each patients' examination room ready & sanitized upon their arrival (as we understand your time is valuable). That said, we have had a bench in the check-in area, & it will be removed this week. There is space in each exam room for a family member or two, but definitely not for a large costco shopping cart. There are pagers available so that patients may browse at glasses, grab a drink in the food court, or walk around the store. (We understand there may be an occasional "glitch" in our new system as we move forward but we are quickly trying to resolve this (we added a new exam room; upgraded our current medical record system; & bought more equipment).... Thanks for your patience with us during this time of HUGE transition. As always, out goal is to give you the most thorough eye examination possible, with the latest equipment. We are sorry that we did not exceed your expectations, and we sure do appreciate the time you took to give us great feedback!
