Dr. Patel &;his staff are truly a five star office! The minute you walk in you are greeted by one of the office staff with a sincere greeting & beautiful smile. Dr. Patel is very thorough with the examination & patiently explains everything. I do nor hesitate to refer my friends to see him for the best eye exam that one needs. I was booked same day and done with my appointment in barely no time. The staff was friendly and knowledgable; at no point did I feel like I was uncomfortable. Prices were reflective of the service, I spent more than planned because it was worth it.

Dr. Patel and his associates are incredible. They always go above and beyond to make sure your appointment is satisfactory. Dr. Patel even when to the extent of researching if I was a candidate for a particular eye surgery, due to my occupation. Most doctors forget you once you leave their office, but not him! My wife and I have been seeing Dr. Patel and his staff for many years and they have never disappointed us.

Dr Patel is a superior doctor and a real people person - he remembers details about his customers and balances delivery of personalized care with efficiency. He presents options and makes recommendations but makes a point not to "over treat", which is greatly appreciated. I've been to many optometrists, but so glad to have found my eye care home at Dr Patel's office.

The last 3 eye offices I have used I experienced Office staff that just didn't want to be there, Didn't spend time insure I was happy and pushed me out the door. The only issue we had is that our son is young and sometimes needs a little extra time and to take things a bit slower. The tec who did his pre exam needs to learn to be a bit more patient with younger children. She had to call in another person to complete his optomap, after trying to get it almost 8 times. By the time my son got into the exam room to wait for the Dr. he was already a bit frustrated and didn't really care what was going on. I had to talk to him and get him to a point where he would be ok with the Dr.

It's environmentally irresponsible to hand out bottled water. We have so much trash and only 5% of bottled water is recycled. Hand out candy or cookies or something.

Once we found this clinic and met Dr Patel we know we will never go to another Dr for our children's eye care needs. They are extremely professional, helpful and friendly;all three of these are very hard to find in one place. The clinic is also very clean and the equipment is wiped clean in front of you before you use it. I highly recommend it.

I called around for a same day appointment, no other office could get me in. My schedule is never easy and I always feel guilty leaving work for personal reasons, so when a window of opportunity appeared, I called Today's Vision, they did not hesitate, and got me in that afternoon. As any normal customer I cant make my appointment times to save my life, I was running 30 min late, I called in and they shifted things around and still got me in. Now the hard part, I've been struggling with my vision for years, I had gone to Dr. Wangs optometry office prior, he did not give me the right prescription, but I did not know this until it was too late. I was getting constant headaches and the glasses were very blurry at long distance. I went back for a follow up a few weeks later and he insisted to give it more time, or consider bifocals. Knowing this was false, I just threw the glasses in my nightstand and moved on. A year later I decided to give Dr Patel at Today's Vision a shot. Best Decision I have made in years. After correctly diagnosing my vision, he gave me a test pair to walk around with, not just 10 seconds staring at letters on the wall, he personally took me for a walk outside and asked how everything was. Lets just say I was blown away at how much I was missing out on. His knowledge and honesty surpassed my expectations. My only complaint is that he is not a doctor and a dentist as well, because if my doctor or dentist were as engaged as Mr. Patel was in fixing my vision, I would be invincible.

I have been seeing Dr Patel for several years. He not only has corrected my vision perfectly, but has found retina issues with 2 of my other family members and has immediately referred them to specialists who have confirmed the dx and treated it. They always find time to see me when I have had an emergency. I saw Dr. Sawhney this week and she seems to be as thorough and professional as Dr. Patel. I have referred many people to Today's Vision and will continue to do so. BTW, their optical department is also awesome, and I am very picky. In the past, I have been known to have to have my lens redone and I have never once had that issue at this establishment.

I visited for an eye problem I've experienced since day one of contact usage and was prescribed medicine. At this visit, a pressure test was done and I was told everything's okay. I'm still experiencing the same problem, but I was never asked about it. Daily contacts were recommended at my prior visit but this wasn't brought up at this visit. I decided to leave matters alone and hope my eyes get better with time.

If there is going to be a contact fitting, please say this upfront when making the appointment. At my previous eye doctor, this was never an extra fee so I did not expect this. Always good to check while making the appointment if they have received a new precription within a year, if not they'll need a fitting therefore paying $89 if insurance doesn't pay it.

Dr. Sawhney, Josh and Angie were outstanding! HIGHLY recommend -I've never had such a wonderful experience at the eye doc. After having my first kiddo my vision was not the same so I came in for an eye exam after 10 years of not wearing glasses. Dr. Sawhney was FANTASTIC! She took her time explaining each step of the exam and took her time to ensure I got the most accurate reading for each of my eyes. One of my eyes was in-between prescription strength so I was able to test out lenses by wearing those metal glasses that look like they would be worn in a Harry Potter movie and make sure that in the natural light and real world outside of the office my prescription would be just right. I've never had a doctor take such an interest in ensuring my vision is perfect. On the billing front - I have Blue Cross and a VSP discount plan. I wasn't sure if BC would cover the exam but based on the reviews on yelp I was willing to pay out of pocket to make sure I got my pre-mommyhood eyesight back. Josh was great and took the time to contact my insurance to see if an exam was covered. I read on yelp review of various optometrist offices where people felt the team was too pushy on buying their eyewear or products - not so at Today's Vision. I felt informed about the options they offer and what to look for when buying glasses. I feel confident that you get what you pay for and at Today's Vision the team really does care that you get a product that will be just right for you. I didn't end up buying my glasses here only because I took a long time finding a pair I really liked online using the virtual try on option - all my fashionistas know that trying on a pair of glasses you love is more exhausting than buying a car :) Will definitely be recommending Dr. Sawhney and Today's Vision to family & friends!

When I walk into Today's Vision Southtowne I feel completely welcome and important, like I'm part of the family. I've been going to Dr. Patel for 7 years. He is THE BEST Optometrist I've EVER seen. From the moment you walk in, you will be amazed just how NICE these people are.. Don't think you can sneak in, I was greeted at the door with a warm smile and "Welcome to Today's Vision" The staff are far and away the nicest medical staff I've ever dealt with. You will sense, by the 'way' they treat you, they actually LOVE their jobs and LOVE helping people. Dr. Patel spends the time necessary to do the job right the 1st time. He is willing to invest the time necessary to find the BEST solution for you personally. He takes detailed notes so if you some additional fine tuning, he knows right where to pick up. No wasting time trying to figure out what to do next. Seriously, by the time you're finished, you won't care how far you drove, and for me, I wouldn't have cared what he charged. You can't put a dollar sign on that level of care and professionalism. Carl

I was disappointed to find out that a tech had broken the lens on my glasses during his testing of the lens RX strength. While the manager offered to replace the lens at a deal (50% off), I felt that the lenses should have been replaced for free as a courtesy. Usually, I save my old glasses as a backup and buy a new pair after checkup. This time, I walked out with less then what I walked in with. I wasn't thrilled about the idea of paying $100 to relens my old glasses and then spend another $400 for a new pair.

I had a great appointment. I found Dr. Patel on Yelp, and he was covered by my insurance so I made an appointment. Being new to Austin, I've been using a combination of Yelp reviews, word of mouth, and covered insurance providers. Dr. Patel is easily one of my best finds! I had a great experience with his entire team. They greeted me and referred to me by name every time! I truly felt listened to, and that they had time for me--not trying to rush me out, or sell me stuff I didn't need. I was a bit disturbed that Dr Haven felt the need to open the office door while she met me, as if I were a threat to her. She did so on the premise that it was too warm in the room. I definitely would not wish to meet with her in the future. I don't think that I presented a strange or weird situation to her. I feel that her behavior was based on irrational reasons, and the event bothered me later.

My only suggestion would be to ask or have customers put their belonging (purse, coat, etc) in a single place, possibly the final exam room, as I always feel like I'm carrying my stuff from one room to the next as we perform tests on my eyes. It would be nice to put our stuff in one location while this is taking place. Otherwise, love the customer service and care. Thanks!

I have been going to Walmart for several years now, and I wonder what was I doing all those years when I could have been seeing Dr. Patel this whole time, he was so thorough and friendly and he really knew his stuff. His entire staff from the moment I called to make my appt was extremely friendly and even upon arrival to greet me. I have never experienced this type of customer service. When I was told I would owe $139 and I questioned this since I have insurance, I was told my insurance didn't cover anything. That was really the whole explanation. When I review the receipt, I see that insurance did cover the exam and refraction. I would have liked a little more explanation when I am checking out and a little shocked I owed that much money.

I was a little taken aback when the technician said the doctor coming in and it was not Dr Patel. Thank you to the technician because imagine how shocked I would be if I did't find out until she walked in the room! Communication when scheduling the appointment could have been better. However, the new doctor is very nice, knowledgable and compassionate. I would be happy to see either doctor, just would like a heads-up when scheduling. Thanks!

5 year ago, friend of mine suggested Dr. Patel's name when it comes to eye treatment or routine annual check up. Ever since then me, my wife and daughter are visiting him every year. Not to mention, it pays off every single time. Dr. Patel is very helpful as well as thorough in his examination. He takes time, explaining each and every minute detail while also making sure that all your question gets answered. My wife's experience with her contact lenses was very smooth too. Due to eye allergy, she had hard time finding good match and Dr. Patel was patience enough to work with her until she found comfortable option. I haven't seen any other Doctor taking such detail level of care. Both support and admin staff is highly supportive. My 3 year old plays with them while both me and wife are undergoing exam.

My recent visit was pleasant. I did not have to wait more than a few minutes. Everyone was professional and friendly. I received an easy to understand explanation of my Optimap exam. The optical staff was helpful and knowledgeable. I especially appreciate Tae Pershing's thoroughness and attention to detail. He makes sure it is right. It is also clear that he trains his staff well.
