Dr Violette and his whole team are professional but also very personable, so it's one of the only yearly medical appointments I actually look forward to. I also get my glasses here- left to my own devices I could never decide but his staff help me identify the best choices and options that fit in my budget.

Fantastic Visit with super friendly, caring staff. It was only my 2nd eye exam - so my anxiety was still a little bit high. I had my first appointment with Dr. Violette at the optical house recently. What a great experience! The office was very nice, clean and quiet. Dr. V himself was extremely personable and friendly. He has a great chair side manner. We had some friendly conversation, and I did not feel rushed at all. Following my eye exam, I spent time with Joyce who was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with my frame selection. In the past, I have struggled with finding the right frame, but Joyce made me this easy by choosing frames that would flatter my face and complexion. She was also very knowledgeable and helpful with ordering the lenses, taking time to explain the different features/options available. I have already recommended Dr. V and his practice to my friends.

They took all the time needed to pick the right lenses for my work needs, and I was very pleased with the large selection of frames. I have finally found an eye Dr. and office that really understands eye care, end to end. From being greeted by Priscilla (and some initial tests), to being examined by Dr. V and then on to Kate to fit and mark up my glasses - I could not be more happy with the process and attention to detail I experienced. I have been struggling for years to get glasses that meet my needs...and have not had any luck until now. The equipment is state of the art (optomap retinal scanner) and the optical lens kits used to ensure you are going to get glasses that actually work for you....was amazing! What an amazing optometrist! I had an emergency last week which he fit me in and I’m super glad he did. If I had not gone I probably would have damaged my eye sight. From the second I walked in I felt welcomed. Dr. violette was patient with me, listened to my concerns and performed a thorough exam and explained everything to me when I asked questions. I had come from a previous office that I felt didn’t care about my eye health and had given me a diagnosis with no further explanation- which left me anxious and worried. I was nervous to switch doctors just to hear the same things again and being concerned BUT after reading many positive reviews and my first appt I am here to say the same. Dr. Violette and the rest of the Optical House team are 10/10. Purchasing new glasses and contacts was simple and I left with some trials for my new contacts. I have been to this office twice since the pandemic began; once to obtain new glasses and once for my annual exam. In both cases i felt very safe to be in person due to the preponderance of covid reduction measures they have in place. Independent of those issues, the team here are all very professional and friendly and I highly recommend.

After fitting me in for an appointment, Dr. Violette spent at least 90 minutes trying to nail down the problem I was having without success. He then went above and beyond and tried to call my Boston doctor to discuss my issue, but the Boston office was closed at this point. He did call me later to say he had spoken to someone at the Boston office and explained my issue and they told hime they would call me in the morning to schedule an appointment.

What an awesome experience! This was my second visit and the appointment was flawless again. Very friendly staff, Dr. V. was wicked cool, and he got my left eye to 20/20! Epic! The glasses sales associate (wish I caught his name) was super friendly, listened to exactly what style of frame I wanted, and gave me a few to try. We ended up going with his first recommendation. I will gladly return for all of my eye care needs. I highly recommend this office!

I have been going to the Optical House for my eye care for several years now and have had consistently great experiences with Dr. Violette, Norm and Patrick. My eye exams are comprehensive and using state of the art equipment, and Dr. Violette explains what he sees very well. When I need new glasses, Norm and Patrick have done a great job helping me pick out a pair that looks good and explaining the cost trade offs as they apply with my insurance. I took one year off to try another shop that is closer to where I live and decided to make the longer trip to The Optical House, and I have not looked back since.

Following a recommendation to try Dr. Violette I was pleased from the moment I opened the door. I was warmly greeted by Nichole upon arrival, seen promptly and efficiently by Mary, examined thoroughly by Dr. Violette, and wrapped up with Patrick's expert help in choosing frames. Everyone was friendly and professional, and the office featured all the latest technologies. I am so happy to have made the change from my former eye care location and will definitley be back.

Upon arival I was greeted by a wounderful woman at the reciption desk. Pleasant and friendly. Another technician greeted me and brought me in for my exam. Another great gal. The doctor came in after her and my exam went on without a hitch. We had great conversation and was totally relaxed throughout the exam. Going back on Monday to pick out my frames from my friend Patrick. All in all, a very nice experience.

From the moment I stepped through the door at the Optical House, I could tell I was going to be happy with my experience. The entire staff is very professional and helpful. Why do I feel like I've known these people my whole life? I recently went in for my first visit, after changing eye insurance providers. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, and I truly felt as if I've been coming here since my first pair of glasses back in the second grade! For me, the most cumbersome part of needing glasses is picking out a pair that looks good, and not wasting an entire day of your life- they have people who have designed glasses, know what is in and out of style, and can pick out a few pairs that fit your tastes. They had a full understanding of what I was covered for, and were upfront about it. Even found out (unbeknownst to me) that I had additional coverage. Nothing hidden, and it really feels like they care about you. Love my new glasses.

I am always quite pleased with the care I receive at Optical house....Staff are very knowledgeable and efficient, but most important to me is their level of overall concern for the patient's well being. I had a potentially dangerous eye infection, and Dr Viollette carved out time on 5 straight days, including a Saturday, to examine me and ensure I was healing properly. That is true customer care.

I love this office. I've been going there for over 30 years and can't imagine going anywhere else. The staff is wonderful. Everyone is very nice and very professional. Dr. Violette gives a thorough exam and is very open to answering any and all questions a patient may have. The staff worked with me to determine how my vision benefits would best be used for my appt (glasses vs contact lenses). I would highly recommend this office to anyone needing vision care!

I have been a patient of Dr. Violette for almost 25 years now and he is, by far, the best eye doctor I have ever used. Before I met Dr. Violette I had all kinds of issues with my contacts, I couldn't wear them for more than 1-2 hours at a time. He met with me, listened to my problems, found the issues, went through several "trial and error" test runs and solved my issues.
