My husband and I have been enjoying dental services at The Dentist Studio for over 5 years. They give both of us exemplary service. We often try and schedule our appointments simultaneously and they try accommodate this request whenever possible. Their hygienist are personable and experienced. Rachel, their full time hygienist, was my recent hygienist. She's excellent. Thank you Dr. Hodgins-you and your staff are wonderful.

Simply amazing ‼️ Top notch ‼️ From the minute you walk in . The staff is wonderful . I have to say my experience getting all my teeth pulled and fitted for full upper denture and full lower denture was awesome. I am a Musician and a singer . I was very worried about being able to preform. Not knowing what it was going to be like to still have correct diction and no slippage of the dentures. Dr. Zachary Hodgins was very detailed and kind . He really takes his time to make sure you are comfortable at all times. Even calling in the evening after appointments to make sure your ok not a staff member. I don’t know what else to say. Nothing less than PERFECTION AT THIS DENTIST ‼️‼️‼️🎸🎸🎸 LES ShoShan

Poor service, waiting for dentist it would have been nice to have assistant check in and let me know when I’d be seen. Secretary did not check my insurance to see how much I’d be responsible for; only said I’d be reimbursed later and collected full amount. This has put me in financial trouble. A little extra effort would have been the decent thing to do.

The service was great and the detail work was very thorough, and very well done. The cost for the service was a little more than I expected and my insurance company won't cover the cost so very disappointed with that but the dentist team was very good. I'd recommend them to anyone.

Best dental care I’ve experienced in a long time. Dr. Hodgins is thoughtful and thorough. His staff is so wonderful. It is obvious how much they care about their patients. This is the only dentist I’ll go to.

I went in for a crown replacement. They sometimes remove & replace the crown on the same day bc they have streamlined the process with their available technology, but this time I had to have a temporary crown until they had time the following month for the permanent crown to be made. Initially I was disappointed, but the temporary held the entire time. When Dawn removed the temporary crown, she had to clean some of the cement off before placing the permanent one, & I indicated that I was experiencing some discomfort, so Dr. Hodgins immediately administered some anesthetic. The rest of the process was virtually free of any pain or discomfort. I'm very happy with the fit & appearance of the new crown.

Dr. Hodgins is the most conscientious dentist when it comes to administering pain-eliminating anesthetics before procedures. He is focused and precise. He has effective standards in place that ensure that procedures that would be unpleasant in most dental practices become just a slight inconvenience to his patients. He is the best dentist I have ever been to, & I say that with no equivocation whatsoever.

I’m almost 60 and growing up, going to the dentist was the absolute worst! The ones I went to were from the Dr. Christian Szell and Orin Scrivello D.D.S. school of dentistry. After many years of not going to the dentist, I took a chance and went to see Dr. Hodgins. My blood pressure was near red lining and I was nervous as hell. But Dr Hodgins and his staff displayed as much empathy and compassion as they did professionalism and thoroughness. Now, after years of going to the Dentist Studio let me say this: I love going to the dentist! In fact, I look forward to it. This last visit was a great example. My X-Rays, gum check, and cleaning were handled with such expert care from Katelyn! Every step in the check up was handled like a precision operation; which everyone in that office performs with proficiency, kindness, empathy, and attention to detail…

From the minute you walk into the office the staff are friendly. Dr Hodgins is very caring and puts you at ease. He explains everything to you so you know what’s going to be done. Sedation dentistry available if you are very nervous. Because of this I have been able to get all of my dental work done. The results are wonderful, and I highly recommend Dr Hodgins and The Dentist Studio for all your dental needs

Dr. Hodgins and his Team are AMAZING!!! They are always on time and their team works so efficiently to have you completed on time. They make sure you feel comfortable from the moment you arrive and in the chair, with warm neck pillows and fabulous music, too. The high-tech office is very impressive and they can make necessary items in house. They always explain each process to make sure you understand each detail before beginning. Oh...he also made me fall in love with my husband's smile, all over again! A great smile is important! Thank you for always being there for us, especially with our high-maintenance emergencies. I think the work is impeccable and patient care is excellent, but it takes way too long to get an appointment, and I have to keep reminding the staff that I still have an unfilled cavity. It’s frustrating to not have an accurate timeline to get everything finished. I know that there are staffing challenges currently, but setting realistic expectations for your patients is important too.

Total professionalism! Severe dental anxiety prevented me from ever going to the dentist. After years of pain and research I found Dr.Hodgins and the Dentists Studio. He and his team made me feel comfortable from the exam to the now 2 sedation procedures I’ve received . Rachel the dental hygienist did an amazing job for 4 hours deep cleaning root scaling and planing while under sedation Dawn and Dr Hodgins were right there the entire procedure. Then I had 2 root canals and prep for 3 crowns and Dr. Hodgins and Dawn his assistant did an amazing job and I had no pain during the procedure and minimal discomfort afterwards. Dr Hodgins will call you to check on you to make sure everything is going ok which is comforting and you have his number incase of emergencies. Highly recommend The Dentists Studio for any dental needs but definitely if you have a fear of the dentist sedation is the way Togo!!!

The phone process could be better. I first called at 15 minutes before the appointment and got VM; left a message. Called back 20 minutes latter after no call back and got VM a second time. Called back a third time after another 5 plus minutes and finally got the receptionist and she told me they were ready. Would be nice to have someone answer the call from patients waiting or at least get a call back to acknowledge your presents and an estimate of time before you can come in.

I happen to have an issue with my Wisdom tooth hurting. After a telephone screen for Covid symptom. He immediately scheduled an appointment the same day. I was surprised how fast he responded. And i did see him in his clinic that day. Due to Insurance authorization we scheduled the procedure the next day. Dr Hodgins and his brilliant assistant Dawn were both there ready to help. The procedure was a success ! I was very touched by their kind gesture. I am very thankful for their involvement in helping our community go through this tough time. One suggestion that I have is that when it comes time for the patient to update their medical profile perhaps it might be a good idea to suggest that they come in around 15 minutes early to fill in the paper work. I have had other offices do this for me as a way of making sure there isn't a backlog of patients being delayed in getting in for their procedures, and to a certain extent from what I observed, it works! I hope this suggestion will prove helpful.

All staff act in a professional manor. The office is clean and I have had several comfortable experiences. I attended this dentist solely on a referral from a friend of mine after having failed dental work in the previous years from a different dentist. I drive over an hour to attend here. The crown I received is so perfectly fit and matched that I have to count my teeth in order to locate it confidently. On my last visit (January 15, 2019) l was on that office for 5 hours and Dr. Zachary Hodgins was very hostile with me, he made me cry twice, he couldn't work with me into making a crown that properly fixed my tooth 21, Dr. Hodgins couldn't have patient with me, l was trying to talk to him and he won't allowed me to finish my words, he was turning his eyes when l was talking to him. Iam a diabetic person and they kept me in an office for 5 hours without giving me at least water, l kept telling Dr. Hodgins and the technician l wanted to go and do the crown somewhere else and they keep telling me to wait 15 minutes more and 15 minutes became in hours. I left the office after 5pm with an exposed tooth.

Dr. Hodgins and his staff, ESPECIALLY DAWN, are the absolute best! I have a large fear of dentists which has stopped me from visiting one on a consistent basis for most of my twenties and thirties. After moving to FL I was referred to Dr. Hodgins by a friend as I had a ton of dental work that needed to be done. Dr. Hodgins took his time and made sure I was comfortable with every procedure, before and during. I can happily say that now I have almost completed all of my necessary dental work and that is only due to how awesome Dr. Hodgins and Dawn are. This office goes above and beyond.

I always feel comfortable with the knowledge I’ll receive the best care in a relaxed and caring manner. I recently had pain in a tooth which manifested itself as needing a root canal. When I returned for the procedure Dr. Hodgins took his time, and questioning his own diagnosis based on my complaints, made the decision not to go forward with the procedure due to a re-examining which included X-rays. He also made arrangements which included his cell #, that if the pain, etc. were to return he would see me immediately. I had no dental insurance so in addition to saving me from an unnecessary procedure it also saved me the expense. Thank you for being honest as well as extremely competent!

Very professional office and very kind staff - they always explain things in a clear manner and they never make me feel rushed. Dr. Hodgins does not recommend procedures outside of what is needed (unlike a previous dentist), and the have some pretty neat, hi-tech equipment, allowing for a more full-service visit. I have recommended Dr. Hodgins and the Dentist's Studio to friends and coworkers for as long as I have been a patient there!

Last visit was not that good. The Hygienist was not the same one I've always used before and nobody informed me in advance. of this change. She was also unable to take a correct set of x-ray of my teeth and she had to redo the x-ray several times until I had to stop her because I didn't want to get so many radiations in one day.... Apart from this experience I'm ok.

I’m so happy to say I was treated like a king. Maria was my dental technician. She was knowledgeable and attentive. She listen to everything I said. Within a few minute she explained everything that would happen. The hygienist came in and measured my teeth. What a professional. Dr Hodgins was awesome, he checked me out and told me what was going on. The important thing he did not hurt me. I would recommend this Dentist to anyone.

From start to finish this is hands down the place to go for all your dental needs. You will not find a more helpful front desk staff. The dental assistants are awesome and the doctor is probably the most straight forward one around. He is certainly not out to do unnecessary work for money. The atmosphere here is zen spa like- from heated neck pillows, ice water chair side in real glasses. Your choice of Pandora station or tv if you wish. You are never left in the room by yourself. The assistant is always there. I have seen two other dentist in Orlando. Both tried to push huge dollar dental work which this doctor said I absolutely do not need. Go to him once- you won’t go anywhere else.

Still trying to evaluate this office. The dentist is great;however I have already encountered the issue of not being charged the negotiated prices for services (brought to my attention via the Explanation of Benefits mailed from my insurance company). After numerous phone calls, it was determined I was due an approximate $350 credit. Secondly, staff (although friendly) seem to lack the skill of following up with patients. My last visit was for a cleaning and X-ray due to pain on 9-27-17. It took 12 days and two phone calls to ascertain information regarding the X-ray. Still awaiting refund.

My last visit was lengthy but was offered a neck pillow for comfort as well as a bottle of water and I was even asked if I wanted my favorite music played. Novicaine doesn't work well on me, so I have a great fear of the dentist- because I feel everything! I chose sedation when getting my wisdom teeth out and also to get a deep cleaning. This was the best experience I've ever had. The staff is wonderful, and I was at ease immediately. After, I've had no bleeding, no pain, and no issues. Amazing!

I need to start this by saying I have an irrational fear of dentists.... With that being said Dr Zach and his staff are amazing!!! They never make me feel stupid for being afraid and have more options than any other dentist i know for those people who are afraid or don't handle the dentist well! Scheduling is super easy all the girls are fantastic and Doc goes out of his way to make sure you understand what your options are and give you the best possible treatment plan. They go out of their way to help me get the most benefit for my insurance while maximizing my treatments. And it wouldn't be fair if I didn't mention Dawn..... As amazing as the doctor is she is one of the reasons I will never look anywhere else. She goes out of her way to make sure I'm comfortable and calm. Her attitude and smile adds so much to the whole experience she is AMAZING!! I can honestly say I've never had as much fun at the dentist as i do with Dawn and Dr. Zach! They even remember little things about my life and take time to ask about them. I could go on and on about how wonderful this place is my teeth have never been this well taken care of. I had the worst experience with Karen, she was so busy going over rates with me that it took me an hour and a half to see the dr (which was actually great). I have never experienced this at any type of dr's ofc. and to be asked if money was an issue when she didn't even know what was going on with me, she showed me 4 different papers with pricings on it and I had yet to see the dr, how can you tell me how much things will be if you don't even know what's wrong with me.

I suffer from dentist anxiety and was not looking forward to my appointment. Dr. Hodgin's staff was so patient, and thorough that all my anxiety melted away. I did not have to wait long in the waiting room or exam room. A member of his staff made sure to wait with me until it was time for the next phase of my appointment. They took the time to get to know me before getting started with my appointment. All of my questions were answered, and I was encouraged to ask more if necessary. All of these components made for a great appointment, and I feel confident entrusting them with my smile.

It was my first visit and the young lady at the front desk was delightful and so pleasant, in addition to having a great sense of humor. The dental hygienist who was assigned to me was Whitney. She took the time to walk me through the rooms and explain the equipment. She also explained all of the various procedures and then proceeded to take care of me with lots of TLC. The meeting with Dr Zachary was delightful and like Whitney, he explained everything to me and discussed various options. During the exam he was gentle and carefully checked everything in my mouth and all the while talking with me and explaining what he was looking at and doing. Needless to say, the Dentist Studio has my business from here on in. My thanks to everyone.

Every single person was friendly, said hello, seemed genuinely interested in making sure my experience was phenomenal! I felt so comfortable with every one, it was trult amazing. My final product of lumineers was AMAZING but leading up to it was a challenge in terms of temps falling off (probably normal) and 'getting them right.' But I was thrilled with the final product. UNFORTUNATELY, I fell and broke one about a month after they were complete (worst case scenario!!) and I am now sitting with the worst temp ever. I'm calling Tuesday to get a new temp but am confident they will oblige as they are quite busy schedule-wise but very accommodating.

I was surprised to receive so many text messages and emails asking for me to confirm the appointment I made 6 months ago. I appreciate the reminder but was shocked to receive an email stating that if I did not respond with a YES confirming my appointment that it would be cancelled. Doesn't that go against me making my appointment? Also, I had to wait 15 minutes past my appointment due to an emergency that had come up. I was fine with waiting given the circumstance but then I was frowned upon when I stated I did not have time to do x-rays. The hygenist did a great job - thanks for being so thorough!!

Not only do they provide excellent service with an exceptional staff; Dr. Hodgins personally makes you feel like a friend and will answer any questions you might have. My 9 year old son recently had a tooth extraction. Dr. Hodgins provided his personal cell phone number in the event we had any questions or concerns. Truly the best service and care we could ask for. This is my 3rd cleaning I've had here, my previous two appointments were fantastic and both the dental hygienists were great, however, I can not give the same praise this time around. The dental hygienist I had this time was extremely polite but I felt extremely uncomfortable under her care. I'm currently a grad student in a PA program, and a past respiratory therapist, and past dental assistant - so being a health care provider I know exactly how important it is to make your patient feel comfortable. She was fumbling and was very unsure of herself. She performed techniques I've never seen, nor heard of. She slathered that polish on my teeth with her finger, rather than the brush. She had polish everywhere - including my clothes. She couldn't figure out how to turn the Cavitron on - being polite, I waited and let her try to figure it out before telling her it was unplugged. I have NEVER had a Cavitron used on me before, it's pretty pointless.... please see review below.

The office cancelled my appointment two weeks ago and I rescheduled at their request. I waited about 20 minutes past my appointment time. Whitney did a great job cleaning my teeth however, after waiting 25 minutes following my cleaning (I was told it could be an additional 30 minute wait and I had to be at a meeting), I was still not seen by the Dentist due to him being involved with another patient. I understand that these situations might arise, however, there should be another dentist or someone else in the office trained to handle the examination. It is very inconvenient for me to have to return to the office. I was complaining of some issues relating to a procedure done at my last visit. Unfortunately, I left the office without resolving that issue. I give Whitney 5 stars.

He was very polite and other than the wait time, the service was excellent. But I did grow restless waiting for my visit to be over and I consider myself a patient person.

She was quick to say I had to reschedule when I told her of my time restraint and I had to suggest an option instead of her providing one and I wasn't given my toothbrush, paste and floss (again) at the end of my visit. Yes sounds petty but.... I just don't think she and my personalities match. I won't give up a great doc because of this but I would like a new hygienist for my next visit. Trust me I'm a fair person.

I am not happy because I called 2 days before my cleaning and told them my filling had a hole in it and I had been having headaches and my face was sore and I needed my tooth taken care of. They could not get me in and told me they would take care of it when I came in for my cleaning. The lady had to call my insurance to see if it would be covered and was supposed to call me back, which she did not. I called Fri. and no one could find out any information and could not find where it had been recorded . The lady was nice and was going to try and find out and return my call. She called and left a message to call back. I had my phone and don't know why it did not ring.. needless to say when I called back the office is closed and I still do not know anything. I just hope I can make it till Mon. without too much discomfort.

The dental hygienist who cleaned my teeth made my visit! She was great and we had some great laughs. I had a feeling it was a very busy morning (my appointment was at 9) by the time the dentist came in it was very rushed. He explained 2 cavities that I had but my to plan has 5 cavaties listed. There was also a lot of talk in the hallway about a nurse that had suddenly left sometime that morning - and I'm assuming that is what slowed everything down - but hearing other nurses talk about that one nurse in public was very unprofessional and I'm sure everyone in the back few rooms could hear them. These are very local complaints and will not effect my overal experience but had my hygienist not been so personable and put me at ease my experience would have been different.

Last year my hygenist told me I was showing early signs of perio disease and recommended that I get a deep cleaning, which I did. I was under the assumption that it was a one-time thing and that I'd go back to regular cleanings after that. Yesterday I found out that I was actually put on a perio maintenance plan which, according to what I was told yesterday by your employee, means that from now on I will have to pay $50 per cleaning. My insurance (CIGNA) covers 2 cleanings a year for free so the idea of now having to pay $50 per cleaning for life was disconcerting. I went on the CIGNA app this morning to view my coverage and it looks like in-network periodontal treatment & maintenance is covered and the plan pays 100%. How can we resolve this?

Cecilia was wonderful. When I finished with the cleaning, I went to another office with Dr. DaCunha and his assistant for three fillings and one sealant. I don't mind small talk amongst the staff whilst prepping for my procedure, but, once the procedure starts, the small talk must stop. I did not feel comfortable hearing about the assistant's dog fighting in the park, how she almost rolled over him during sleep, how tired she was that morning (they would get a coffee afterwards), how the dentist doesn't want to fly to Arizona, his stay at the Marriott, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, how she needs to study her "codes" because she named a tooth position incorrectly to the dentist. At this point, I had to stop them, tell them the constant talking was annoying, they need to FOCUS AND FINISH, as seeing how it took an 1 1/2 hours to finish the procedure. I REQUESTED, AT THE TIME OF CHECKOUT, DR. DACUNHA AND HIS ASSISTANT NOT DO ANY PROCEDURE OF ANY KIND ON ME FOR THE REMAINDER OF MY VISITS.

I always have a pleasant visit when coming to my appointments, which are usually just routine cleanings. This time, however, I felt my hygienist was very rough during the cleaning, to the point that I had to pull away from her when she was scraping at what felt like my gums. I've had multiple cleanings with different hygienists each time, but have never had an experience like this one. Normally I don't feel pain during my cleanings and feel like I'm in good hands. Next time I come, I want a different hygienist.

I believe I visit with you folks every 6 months, and she saw my last visit was February 13, 2013. I have replaced my phone since then, but I was sure I had been in. Second, she asked me about my broken leg and nsaids (painkillers?) I have not broken any of my legs, much less taken any painkillers except for BC powders. Third, she mentioned that I had several old filings to replace. I replied that I had already had them done with you folks ... and that it had taken about 6 hours for us to finish. I think I would like to return to sit down with someone and go over my records with you folks because I am not comfortable at this time that they are correct. Thanks!

I think it's an overall comment I have with hygienist...please do not expect a conversation with me when you are cleaning my teeth and I can't talk. Also, I wasn't impressed with how the hygienist handled my mouth. It was very rough. I didn't think the hygienist was taking into consideration how I would feel when my lip was being pulled or my gums being stabbed. All that being said, my teeth are very clean and I am happy with the end result.

I am so happy that I found the Dentist Studio! It seems that I have a phobia of the dentist and was extremely nervous about my initial visit. I was made to feel welcome and comfortable. It ended up that I needed alot of things done and required oral surgery twice. I am the biggest baby and am always stressed about going to the dentist as I have had some bad experiences with other offices, but the Dr and his staff always make me feel relaxed and go as slow as I need them to. It is such a relief to have found a dentist that finally I can to without fear.

When I moved to Florida I knew that I needed to find a dentist to do a tooth extraction and then put an implant in due to an injury to my front tooth. I was very nervous because I didn't know anyone in Florida to get advice about who I should go see. I googled "Dentists in Winter Park, FL." and The Dentist Studio was the first office that popped up. I was really impressed with their website, especially all of Dr. Hodgin's training and the before and after pictures of his patients. So I made an appointment and I was very impressed and comfortable with everyone in the office. They gave me a proposed treatment plan which let me see all of the stages and appointments I needed to go through to get to the end result. I was so nervous about the tooth extraction and having to wear a partial for several months, but Dr. Hodgins and his staff made everything pain free and my partial fit and looked perfect! No one ever knew that I had a partial as one of my front teeth. At the end of all of my treatments I decided to get the Zoom Whitening before I had my permanent bridge in place. I am beyond thrilled with the results of my teeth. My teeth are so white and my bridge looks so natural in the front of my mouth. I work with a lot of customers everyday at my job and get compliments all of the time on how great of a smile I have. Dr. Hodgins and his staff are so kind and friendly. Anytime I call with a question they are so quick in helping me and they are very quick about getting me my appointments when needed.
