My 3 children ask to go to the dentist, it's an enjoyable experience for them. So different from the atmosphere of fear when I was young. This will encourage them to continue caring for their teeth into adulthood. They have had about 10 checkups and two have had some crowns.

I don't recall the name of the dental assistant assigned to us, but she was very friendly to both my daughter and I, offered explanations for every step of the process, and was professional. She also ensured I had no questions at the end of my visit. As usual, I was very pleased with my visit at the Dental Ark. It is the only place I will take my daughter for her dental needs.

The wait is usually pretty good. The downside however is that there are several dentists so your child can see a different dentist in every visit and give you different opinions on treatent, which is what happened with my daughter. One dentist scheduled her for treatment/procedure with another dentist and the day of her appointment the other dentist didn't feel she needef the procedure done yet. Unfortunately I won't be going back.

EVERY SINGLE TIME that I or my husband take my daughter to the Dental Ark we.are greeted and treated very well from when we walk in to seeing the dentist and when we leavel. I have never had a problem scheduling,re-scheduling appointments and I'm always in and out. I will continue to refer people! Thank you dental ark.

The dental hygienist was too hard on the teeth cleaning, they were busy talking to each other instead of focusing on the cleaning. It was very painful and uncomfortable for Patricia. She will not be coming back.

Mariza the dental hygienist was just great! Patient and kind when my little one was nervous and so helpful when the check up came. Dr. Calderon was so helpful and caring to my daughter. Even though I'm nervous about her procedure coming up everyone was reassuring of their kindness.

I arrived at 2:10 for a 2:30 appointment and the kids were not taken back until 3:30. The appointment should have been set more appropriately not having us wait 1 1/2 hours that's unacceptable. Not sure if we will return for this reason. I dont have that much time to waste.

My Daughter was taken back and I was told to sit in this room and wait. Wait for them to call me back as they always have done in the past they brought my daughter and said she was done. Out of all the yrs I have gone I have always went to the back with my child . In this case I'm not sure what happened and nothing said they had changed the rules . Not sure if my daughter will continue to go here .

Dr. Lin was great ! She really took her time with my son and to explain my situation. I was skeptical of returning to the Dental ARK, but with Dr. Lin's visit. I was convinced it's OK. This visit was much more comfortable than the last few. It is too bad, that the Dr.'s change every visit and we can't see the same Dr. It's hard to appreciate one and the next visit you have to see a different one.

Even though Dental Ark is not opened Saturday's like all these pediatric dental offices. Dentist/Doctor Maldonado was highly recommend, so I put my trust in the Dental Ark.

I LOVE the speed of service! My daughter and I are always done with our appt in less than an hour, sometimes even within a half hour! The staff is very friendly too! The only addition I would make would be for the provision of activities for children while in the waiting room. Even something as simple as coloring pages and crayons. Anything to assist in keeping children occupied while waiting. Otherwise, very happy with the service here.

I've been with this dental practice for several years and I love the service. It was my first time in the parent room waiting area and it was great. It was quiet and comfortable. The coffee was also a great accommodation. Everyone is always so friendly and kind and treat the children with respect.

She was very patient and took the time to explain procedure/ tools to her and that was very important to me. Thanks to her, I am confident my daughter will not fear the dentist any more.

The ongoing process you have to update personal information is annoying. Also, I have in the past been invited to sit in your "parents only" waiting room. I have noticed that your staff no longer mentions that, but the sign is still on the door when I go in to pay.

I would appreciat that when there is an issue with the child's teeth that as the parent I can also see the dental films during the explanation.

I strongly believe that if major treatment will be conducted on children, parents should be allowed in the room. My daughter was alone in the room and was not able to get her treatment due to the fact that she was scared and to make it worst she did not see me there.

My daughter complained about the male dental hygienist poking her gums. That's the first time she complains..other than that the staff is always friendly and courteous.

My child was extremely nervous about having treatment done, which caused her to be uncooperative and the only approach the tech and dentist used on her was a firm voice approach, which only escalated the situation, causing my child to be even more scared during the whole ordeal. They could've tried a soft approach to calm her down, or maybe even called me before it was too late, but they didn't try any of the above. When the tech finally brought me in it turned into more of a taddle session on my child instead of a status report on my child's health/current condition. After about 5 mins of hearing the woman taddle on my child I asked if I could see her, and she finally let me back to observe her. She was hysterical and scared and I can't believe they let her get so desperate. I wish they would've called me sooner before the dentist decided she was too hard to work on. I believe I could've calmed my child down so the scheduled procedure could've been completed.

Have a separate waiting area for those with appt for treatments. I know there is one for parents only but for those of us, like in my case I had my other daughter, with family. With an area maybe to read or watch TV. I was there from 9:30 until 2:15. Very long wait. Also to give parents an update if taking longer than usual such as in our case. My daughters pressure was taking longer to rise and I didn't find out until I asked what was taking so long. I would've like to have been informed without having to ask. Thank you :)

My appointment was at 12:30 and I didn't leave your office until 3:00. This was somewhat frustrating. I know that your policy is not to allow parents in the dental area and I can respect that but I would like to be taken back once and a while to consult with the dentist. My son's have been going to the Dental Ark for about 3-4 years and I have yet to meet any of your dentists. Overall, my boys are very comfortable with your facility and your employees are always friendly and courteous.

The experience was very different from the other times. The dental assistant was kinda rude by making it weird that my 3 yr old was scared and crying. Comforting my son she asked if he was my only one and I said yes. She then said oh no wonder. I think that was rude. I didn't like other comments she made. The dentist was great though and said it's ok he's scared. I almost got billed $13 but said I paid over the phone because when I mailed it, it was never received. I hope my experience is better next time. I felt a little upset that the dental assistant doesn't understand that my 3 yr old is just a young person who gets scared. I guess being an elementary teacher I have more patience with children and their needs.

My 5-year-old was in a great mood to see the dentist when we arrived; after an hour wait...not so much. She is learning to tell time and wanted to know why her name hadnt been called at the proper time. We spent more time waiting than the whole of the appt. I don't see how that is acceptable.

No, I am very displeased about this, again nothing against the dr we saw only that she is not the dr i chose.

We had a pleasant experience with my daughter (she is a special needs child) and will continue to go back. I will highly recommend the services of the Dental Ark to other mothers of special needs children that I come in contact with either through meeting them at my daughter's school or at other gatherings such as at Gigi's Playhouse. The staff at the Dental Ark are very nice and thorough and patient.

Staff friendly and courteous. Kids overjoyed with toys given to them after exam and cleaning. My two boys chose a lion and tiger masks. My young daughter chose a ring and other daughter chose a flippng/popping gadget. I like the smooth process of signing-in with computers without worry of verbalizing sensitive and personal information to staff with people nearby to overhear. You can't be too careful with identity theft. My four kids were escorted back to play area for service by staff member, while I waited in front waiting area relaxing and watching t.v. Then, after my kids cleaning and exam, they were escorted back. The employee explained to me their dental exam outcomes and then was taken to staff member to reschedule 6 month appointment. She patiently helped me choose a date that was convenient for me. Overall, quick and easy. Happy mom and Happy kids!

The dentist assistant we got was rough on my daughter my daughter is 2 and she was not afraid of dentist until last visit we had. My daughter understand and will do what I ask her to politely but when it was time for her cleaning the aid forced her head down n fired gee mouth shut to see her teeth with mouth closed. I did not like that one bit. I understand it needs to be done but age wild of done it just by me asking her to. I did not like she forced her right away after she asked her to close her mouth. They only trust certain people and when a stranger ask something they won't do it. Unless their parents ask them and they know it's ok for them to do it. A dentist visit for a kid isn't pleasant as it is and for her to have done that well now she will be scared of the dentist thanks to her. All they have to do is ask parents to tel their children what they need to do. Not force them and if so ask their parents if it's ok and explain ejy it's necessary.

There was a male receptionist who was kind and told me about the parent waiting where I could get coffee and tea. Not once in the years I been going there have ever been told about this. It would be nice to let parents know. I know kids are not allowed back there but let them know in advance. There nothing for the kids to do in the waiting room you had video games now that out. My kids have been asking to go to another Dentist where have games thing they can enjoy while waiting for there appointment. On this day my appoint was on time but other times we are there more than an hour waiting. As for parents not being able to go back there is ridiculous. The reason am still there is because changing everything is such hassle and starting al over again. You should have a section for procedure to be done where parents are able to go with their child and the other section for only checkups. Its big enough to do this.

The dentist did not address my son's dental needs with me. She did a 5min check up with him the dentist spoke to the dental hygienist then left without discussing anything with myself (the parent). During the review the hygienist summarized my son's dental needs and did not leave any options for questions or discussion. I felt like the extreme follow up was recommended without choices being presented. Because of this I will be seeking a second opinion and my be switching dentist office. I was greatly disappointed with the communication.

I think it is reasonable to wait about 15 minutes after your appointment was set, but an hour? That was the only bad experience I had there.

The young lady at the entrance was very friendly and welcomed us for the first time. Everyone was pleasant but the process needs to be better explained for first timers. Then they take your children and drop them off in a play room and take you else where and that did not make me very comfortable. I also was not impressed with all the cavities and work Dr. Chavez recommended when 6 months ago Dr. Stevenson personally saw my girls and did not recommend anything other than to watch a 2 possible cavities on Alexsandra Pimentel, my oldest. The price is outrageous and now I understand why your business is so huge and booming. The visit took 2.5 hours which is too long and in the end I felt like it was just a business wanting to charge me way too much money and left me very disappointed.

I did not appreciate that on our way out, after mentioning that we do not use a pacifer at all with our son, was told we MUST start using a pacifier. My son does not use one nor suck on his thumb so we did not like at all that she insisted that we use it. I would mention her name but to be honest we were not told what her name was nor saw a name tag. Other than that we truly love this dentist.

This is he 2nd time visiting the dental ark. I'm left just as disappointed as I did the first time. I had to wait almost 40 minutes past my sons appointment time both times. I expect to wait 10-15 minutes but not 40. Only after I told the receptionist that I was canceling my sons appointment and we were leaving did they seem to move with a purpose. After the dental assistant brought us back, we waited another 15 minutes after he was done with his portion. We will not be coming back. The staff were very friendly and helpful despite the wait time. I believe they book too many clients at the same time.

The lady who helped us upfront gave us the best treatment, we had problems with insurance questions and she called the insurance and got it all cleared up. The dentist too was very knowledgeable, my son has been suffering from a few things and with his help, we know exactly what to ask his pediatrician.

The day of service they told me that they had called me to let me know about my financial options, but I never received a call. Aside from this the staff is courteous and attentive.

My appointment was at 1:00. I showed up at 12:50 and my kids didn't get called back until 1:30 so we waited 40 mins in the waiting room. Then I sat and waited 1 hr. Finally I was getting a little upset so I went to check on my kids. At that time I was able to go to the back when the Dentist examined them. I know there were a lot of people but I don't think it should take almost 2 hours. Also to fill out the forms on the computers, I liked it better the way it used to be because it was a more one on one with the receptionist. And if I had any questions they are there. Thank you

I'm usually very happy with the service and our visit/experience when my daughter has her appointment, but unfortunately this last visit wasn't. Usually when walking in to the facility, we're greeted and asked to sign in. This time around there was nobody around to greet us or ask us to sign in. My husband and daughter proceeded to take a seat while I stayed standing and waiting to see of the receptionist would come out. After waiting 3 minutes I had given up and had to reach around the desk and signed my daughter in. My daughter's scheduled appointment was at 9 a.m. and we arrived at exactly 8:51 a.m.. After waiting 45 minutes, I knew something was wrong. I proceeded to explain to my husband that on a prior visit, your facility had forgotten about our daughter and how I was told our daughter's appointment was wrong and how I had to prove I had confirmed her appointment and even had to show my appointment card. He then went up to one of the windows and asked one of the employees if our daughter was near getting called in (since two other patients who arrived after us had already gotten called in)and she told him she would be called in in 5 minutes. Granted that by now we had been waiting to get called in for over an hour (1 hour 15 minutes). 5 minutes came and went as did 10 and I was growing more and more upset. My husband sensed my disappointment and frustration and asked again what the hold up was since we were told "5 minutes". The attendant who had previously told us our daughter would be called in in "5 minutes", grew frustrated with my husband and cut my husband off while he was speaking and told him " There's a certain way our patients are scheduled, they get called in according to the procedure being performed/needed and the severity and whenever your assigned doctor is available." My husband returned and angrily told me what was explained to him and that our daughter would be called in when they were ready for her. That was the breaking point. By now we had been waiting 1 hour and 25 minutes. I've been working in customer service field for 9 years and I completely understand things happen and that's ok, but I also know the customer/patient is main priority and how important it is to keep them happy; but since this was the second time our daughter had been forgotten and after hearing the unprofessional and rude tone given by the attendant, I had had enough. I proceeded to walk up to another window (by then the first attendant was speaking to the facility manager (Mrs. Loya) and asked a different attendant if she could give me a website or a number to place a complaint about our unpleasant visit. This attendant was kind and apologized and asked if instead I'd like to speak to the manager to which I agreed to. I took a seat and around 3 minutes later Mrs. Loya came out and introduced herself to me and asked me to follow her in to a private room. She told me how sorry she was and that our daughter was going to be next. When I asked if my child had been forgotten about again she gave me a puzzled look and asked "again?". I then explained to her that this wasn't the first time this happened and she was baffled. She gave me her word and told me she'd make it a point for this incident to never repeat itself again. We then were called in and the rest of the visit went smooth as usual. Inside, the staff as always gave great customer service and was very apologetic. I'd say if it weren't for them I'd probably be looking at another dental facility to take my child. I truly like The Dental Ark and its so hard to find a doctor not only we (my husband and I) enjoy going to, but our daughter as well but wouldn't hesitate to look elsewhere if this repeats itself especially after being promised it never would again by the facility manger. Looking forward to our daughter's next visit and see how your facility improved from this last appointment.

Waiting for an hour with an 18 month old child was frustrating. Additionally, our appointment was to see dr baker but we ended up seeing a different provider with no explanation.

Loved that we were given a tour & treated kindly- for the most part. Excellent hygentist, I think her name was Joanne. Dentist was friendly & expained our options well. However, after the cleaning, my son who is 16 & on the autism spectrum, was taken alone to have the sealants done. After we left the office he expained to me that he was told to relax his tongue & even though he thought he was, he was tense so the worker pushed on his tongue to the point he was crying. I asked him if she noticed, but he said she was talking to her coworker. I asked what she was taking about, thinking maybe it was about how to help the situation. He said, "that's the worst part! She was speaking in Spanish so I didn't know what she was saying!" To be honest, I was so pleased with the whole experience until he told me all that- the part I was not present for.

I didn't feel it was appropriate for my nine year olds cleaning to consist only of coronal polishing done by an assistant. When I asked for an RDH she said she would come in later and finish. Indeed she came in but all she did was count teeth. Since I am in the dental field I knew this was just a total rip ofpf I could have done this at home. Services like this are ok for those who have no dental knowledge and really have no icof what to expect. Will not be returning, will look for a different provider,

I was very pleased with the way the staff treated my grandson. He is autistic and nonverbal, he really struggles when people try to see inside his mouth. It takes more than one person to check inside his mouth. The staff were very understanding of his anxiety and finally were able to check his teeth, he had two loose teeth that was bothing him alot.

I did not like the fact that I had to wait longer than an hour for my sons appointment. I kept seeing other families being attended before me knowing they got there a lot later than me. I had to go and speak to the receptionist to ask her what the hold up was. She later informed me that they might of skipped me but that my son was next. Shortly after they called my sons name. I didn't like that I had to approach a staff member about something that could have been avoided. Overall I usually get attended within my appointment this time it was not so great. The visit with the dentist was great but prior to the waiting it wasn't.

When I went back to wait with my daughter, she was already on the exam chair and they were starting to work on her without me authorizing, which made me uncomfortable. It was not a major procedure and next time, I will just have my daughter wait with me.

We had called prior to our visit because my daughter had a 11am visit and needed to make sure she would be done because she was in the spelling bee at 1pm. They assured us we would be fine on time. We got to the appointment early and proceeded to wait over an hour, when I asked why the wait was so long the woman in the front informed me that they had bumped us back because a mother of four had come in and need them out soon for a school play. When I mentioned the earlier call and assurance I was given ,she informed me I should have told her when we got there because only she can make accommodations. I have always been treated well here and this last time I felt like this particular employee was pretty much saying your appointment time isn't a guarantee time. The reason I made sure before was so I could reschedule if needed. But for anyone to be able to walk in and take priority over my appointment and other patients' appointments is not right. I hope this never happens again.

I was not happy with the way the treatment costs kept rising. I did not like the fact that my daughter cried for me during procedure and no one came out to get me. I did not like the fact that once the procedure was over the dentist did not come out to tell me how it went and how my daughter did during treatment. I did not appreciate being told by 3 different dental assistants what procedures needed to be done, they did a horrible job of explaining procedures being recommended , not very clear on explanations of treatment, like they did not know or understand what they were talking about, very uncertain . I was truly disgusted on how procedures were added on that my daughter did not need, we got a 2nd and 3rd opinion, so we are sure she did not need the added procedures/treatments.You all are a big scam of a dentist office trying to make you're money off of innocent people that don't know any better!! Shame on you!

I did not like the way the ladie that is on the front where you first sign in treated me this two last visits horrible, she does not say Hi or Good Morning she just says Do you want to sign in? of course you have sign in..... but I have noticed that she is nice to other parents I guess she decides who to be nice to. after I sign in she did not say anything to me because she was more worried talking to another parent I tried to give it to her in her hand but she just looked at me without lifting a hand so I just put signing tablet on her table she did not say a word to me . After 10 minutes of waiting she called me and asked me in this words " who are you? you missed to put in your signing sheet what are you? are you mom? I just told her yes I am the mother she just said" I'll put it for you this time..ok" honestly I like every one in your office I have never got a situation like this in your office but this ladie in the front makes me uncomfortable because I have seen she is friendly with other parents but not with me and do not know why I had never seen her in my life. I am thinking of changing dental doctor because I would not like to see this person again.

My daughter loves all the animals starting with the huge elephant that greets you as you drive up. It's spectacular. She always says goodbye on our way out stopping to look for and count all the little mice hidden around the ark. That's a priceless moment it opens our eyes to see our baby become an infant and now a toddler.

Chloe had to have two fillings and I really appreciate the doctors working us in to get them done the same day. The staff took the time to talk to me about the different types of fillings and addressed my concerns regarding the different material used. I was slightly uncomfortable with the fact that I could not be in the room with her during the process. However, the staff was positive toward my daughter and me allowed me to look in and check on her. I also appreciate the extra time taken to check on her before we left as she was complaining of pain. Everyone was thorough and positive.

The staff can try and be a little more understanding to a patient that is sick or trying to get seen by the dentist faster. My appointment was at 1 . 30 minutes past and no call. I had arrived at 12:50. It was a infant that was going to be seen . Does not take long at all.

It was our first time coming to this dentistry office. Both my daughter's were a little scared coming to the appointment but left happy. I was very pleased with the tour that was giving to us by Joanne the hygienist. Overall very happy the way my daughters we're treated. The only thing I was not pleased with was that my "financial options" were not completely explained to me since no one ever said that I DID NOT have to pay over $200 out of pocket for sedation. I have always assumed that I HAD to choose that for my chidren because no one had ever explained to me otherwise until I questioned it before the service was rendered.

First visit to the dentist. My daughter was at ease with the hygienist. She made her feel safe and talked to her properly, she didn't scare her. Dr. Already suggested filling and sedation! Not sure how I feel about that. Was hoping for time before they suggested such harsh procedure.Maybe I should have researched this part more. Will go back and ask more questions amybe a second opion.

I will not take my daughter anywhere else.i travel from NE all the way here because she is treated very well.my daughter is now 9 and we started her since she was 3, she was traumatized by someone else and here she is comfortable.

This is our second visit. Dental Ark is just wonderful. Very smooth visit. Friendly. Professional. Some room for improvement: My daughter mentioned that whoever cleaned her teeth used the same tissue/gauze to clean her face after having used it inside her mouth. My 14 -yr old thought that was "kinda gross."

The doctor explain how to brush my sons teeth with no problem when I asked her twice so I could understand good and didn't misss any detail. The doctor was really nice and kind.
