My husband and I have always had regular dental check-ups and cleaning throughout our lives, but as we've grown older we seem to be developing more dental problems (along with other physical breakdowns!) We discovered Sycamore Dental practice on a walk with our dog by our house and decided to transfer our care to them (from our dentist far away and who is soon to retire) after an initial consultation with each of them (they are a husband-wife team). What is unique about this practice is: 1)They are very high-tech and have the latest equipment and technology including CT scans and using laser for fillings (no need for novocaine numbing unless the treatment is quite extensive) 2)They perform regular dental care AND more extensive surgery like root canals and implants and are comfortable and competent doing so 3) They have an excellent, professional, and compassionate staff who have been with them a LONG time (always a good sign of good management) 4) They are proactive in addressing problems early vs our old dentist who seemed to wait until there was an obvious problem. 5) They are meticulous in their work 6)They are great educators and willing to spend time with you to explain just what and why they are doing what they are in your situation. 6) Their dental hygienist Bethany who does your teeth cleaning with this special high-tech method is AMAZING. My teeth have NEVER been so clean after a cleaning. 7)They are very good at keeping you up to date with reminders and are very responsive when you reach to the office for anything 8)They are very compassionate, humane, and kind-hearted dentists. They even call you at home after extensive procedures to see how you are doing! The down side to great dental care is that it is not cheap. They do accept some dental plans but we don't have any dental insurance so we must pay for everything out of pocket. However, we are very grateful to have found them and hopefully, with their help, we will keep our teeth until we die.

This husband and wife, along with their entire staff, are professional and compassionate. They always greet you with a smile and make you feel welcome. They work with you for a plan to cover any and all of your needs be it for your dental work or general well being and how it affects your teeth and gums. They are wonderful, so much so that I’ve been seeing them for about 20 years now even though they are out-of-network for my insurance. They are that great!!!

Sycamore Dental practice provides outstanding care. Dr. Sakarian and Dr. Englert are graduates of the best dental schools in the West (USC and UCLA, respectively). Their equipment is state-of-the art and the results are top-notch. Patient care is of the highest quality because it is their top priority. They take great pains to keep the environment germ-free. Personally, they are friendly, approachable, and ready to answer any questions about treatment and follow-up care. They typically call my home after a procedure to make certain all is well. They do not accept most private dental insurance or Medicare coverage (such as it is).

I had a broken tooth. Was eating chicken. Bit down on a bit of the breast and it had a small rock in it. CRUNCH. the tooth broke and I swallowed the broken off part/s. I am covered by the VA, so I had to get their authorization first. I had a scheduled cleaning in 3 days. I called the VA, they called the VA, the VA called them and me, finally they faxed the approval, but I had already left. I went to a Chiropractic appointment and had just gotten home and was still in my car in the driveway when they called and asked if I could return IMMEDIATELY, as they had a cancellation and could fit me in, but it had to be NOW. I zipped over to the office .................... 2 hours later, tooth was capped and all was well with the world once again.

Dr. Sarkaria & Dr. Englert are the best dentists we’ve ever known and since we’re in our 60s, we’ve had quite a few dentists. They’re always well informed about the latest procedures, they have better equipment & technology than other dentists, their staff is always polite & professional, and they are caring and thorough with everything, always ensuring each appointment is pain-free, plus they always follow up after the appointments to ensure that their patients are doing well.

A few years ago when I moved to the area I was looking for a new dentist. Not just any dentist but a cutting edge dentist that has a good team. The team at Sycamore Dental has been phenomenal with my son. At his first appointment, he was nervous, asked a million questions, moved and fidgeted all of the room and wanted to touch everything. He finally was able to get 2 teeth polished, sitting in his knees, backwards in the chair. They were so patient and kind to him, accommodated his hyperactivity and sensory challenges, answered all of his questions and slowly gained his trust. They went at his pace, explained everything they were going to do and he felt like he was in control the whole time. Now he’s excited to come to his appointments, he can lay in the chair the whole time, he lets them clean and examine all of his teeth and loves to take X-rays. We’re so grateful for the extra time and special care the team offers to each of our family members, every time.

Let it be known i’ve never been a big fan of the Dentist. BUT, the entire staff from top to bottom make going to the Dentist a pleasant experience . The TLC is old school, amazing!! Because they took the time to help him feel at ease and comfortable, he allowed them to look in his mouth and count his teeth, take panoramic x-rays, take some bite wing x-rays, do a bit of dental cleaning, etc. At the end of the appointment, my son asked if he could go back tomorrow. 5 star rating all around!

Their recommendations have always been sound and if I require more explanation they obtain it information for me. The staff around the Dr's are tremendous people. They are smart, pleasant, and work with me to my comfort in scheduling and for procedures in the office. The office is comfortable and set for safety, the dental equipment is modern and saves me time. There isn't enough space for me to fully relay the high qualities of this team.

Dr. S is AMAZING!! I had a very scared 5 year old that had 4 “cavity bugs” that needed to be fixed. She was scared of the laser but Dr. S showed her it was just a light. Dr. S explained all of the tools she was going to use and made a scary experience a learning one. The laser didn't hurt at all! At the end my 5 year old said “This was an amazing day for my teeth”. If you need a dentist go to Sycamore Dental. If your child needs a dentist GO TO SYCAMORE DENTAL!! You won’t regret it.

I was satisfied with the staff who administered the xrays and cleaning. I was less satisfied with the lengthy review of the scan where so much time was spent on my sinuses and other issues rather than getting to the evaluation of the status of my teeth and what was recommended as priority treatment - all this occurring as my driver waited outside for what was to take 5 mins. and took multiples of that time.

You all are so amazing. Rosie can answer any questions I have about insurance instantly, scheduling is easy, I love the text messages regarding scheduling and reminders. Everyone treats me so nicely and gently, that I have been able to come in and take care of my teeth, despite my anxiety. I feel confident asking any and all questions before, during and after procedures and get answers and explanations that make sense to me. I am included in all decisions and planning and feel comfortable to make small requests to make my visit less stressful. A blanket, head pillow, sunglasses, correct temperature, using the quiet room, these are all small things that can help calm my anxiety and I feel comfortable asking for those things because I know your team wants me to be comfortable and relaxed. The laser has been really life-changing for me, in regards to dental work. No anxiety about numbing, shots, drills, it seems smaller in my mouth, which helps my jaw and even the sound it makes is pleasant. I fully trust the entire team that they are being open and honest with me, not just trying to take my money, but really trying to take care of my teeth and me. I always highly recommend Sycamore Dental.

Sycamore dental is amazing! I went to them when I was younger then didn't go to the dentist for years, but am getting back to a dental routine and they are taking amazing care of my teeth. They are all so personal and always follow up with their patients. I recommend them to everyone! Won't ever go anywhere else! Oh and they're GREAT with my babies when I have to bring them with me to my appointments.

I am completely dental-phobic. This office has welcomed me in and put me at ease from my first frantic (and very overdue) visit. I am not sure that I will ever get over my fears but everyone from the front desk to Dr Gita and Dr Jon are very understanding and patient with my questions and issues. I cannot recommend them enough.

The Sycamore Dental office is always a friendly and efficient place, from the appointment reminders through the regular cleanings to actual dental repair work that sometimes need to be done. They are honest in their assessments and recommendations of what kind of work beyond a regular cleaning might be needed, and I have always trusted that both Gita and John are providing good advice and quality services. The whole office experience is positive, including all support staff I have met or spoken with on the phone over the years.

The new hygienist has an extreme firm yet supper lightness of pressure in regards to navigating the gingival margins all the while hammering away at that gol dang plaque , all the while giving advise to the Mad Brusher on how to lighten it up a little. And Rosie is well......Rosie , quick , accommodating and follow up on ALL other issues. She is also the best in her position I have ever observed. Dr. Z (Gita) ......give her time she is still settling in to her new position . She is new isn't she? Rick Diehl.

I HATE going to the dentist!!! I've been HAPPY to go to Sycamore Dental for 10+ years and always tell my friends. Unfortunately most of my friends live more than 25 miles south toward San Diego.
