Dr Young is wonderful. She takes her time and explains everything in layman's terms. If I have a problem they fit me in. And Dr Young has even come in on a Saturday to check out a problem with my eyes. That is over and above. The gals in her office are great as well. Everyone is so friendly.

I have been to the office three times for vision screening and all the experiences have been positive. Most recently, my 4 year old son suffered a laceration to his eye. He was not established as a patient at the office but they got him in that day to be seen. Kudos to a kind and committed staff.

State College Eye Care is the BEST. I highly recommend you check them out. I just read a book about making "routine" things memorable experiences and State College Eye Care does just that with friendly staff (who goes out of their way to do everything possible for you!) and a proficient, professional, and kind doctor. I was very disappointed to see that your office is still so cautious of covid! Get over it! It's not going away! You are one of the very few places, other than medical offices, that are still doing this garbage. You and your customers pick up more by going to the gas station and grocery store than you will ever pick up in your office. There is something called hand sanitizer that you could have at the counter and make each person use instead of this "don't touch anything, I will get the frames off the shelf for you because anything you touch needs sanitized" garbage. I also saw a can on the counter marked "clean pens", so I assume you sanitize them as well. I was telling some of the ladies about this in church, and the one said she just had an eye exam elsewhere and didn't have to do any of that...including masking. She said she was free to go look at/try on frames and there were others doing so at the same time. Another lady asked me where we go so she can be sure to never go there. It's time to get over the fear. Run a machine at night to purify/sanitize everything if you all are that scared. I sure hope at our next appointment in two years, you done with this garbage.

I wish you had someone that had knowledge of what type, size, look of glasses look good on different face shapes, color etc. I stink at doing that. Dr. Young is very thorough and always asks if you have any questions. I've never felt rushed or unimportant. She takes her time with you and makes sure you have a good understanding of your eye care needs. The staff is very friendly and efficient. I definitely recommend this practice.

The lady who helped me pick out frames was very friendly and knowledgeable. She took time to explain to me how transition lenses work and what I need to do to get used to them. This was such a nice experience. I haven't been to the eye doctor in a long while and was so happy with my visit! The doctor was thorough and took the time to answer all of my (many) questions and make special arrangements with me because I am extremely light sensitive. The staff was incredibly helpful and walked me through what would be the best value with my insurance. They also send multiple appointment reminders and helped me to reschedule when I needed it. There was no wait time. Everyone was very professional. The facility was well lit and clean. The doctor took time to answer my questions and the staff was both friendly and helpful, even volunteering to look for some tiny letters and numbers on a vintage pair of eyewear I had with me. They had to use a microscope to see them. The whole visit was very pleasant and the selection of frames met my needs. Suggestions were accurately made for fitting and frame sizes with color choices included. Overall a positive experience. Thank you.

It was my first visit and I didn't know what might be on display. There is a poor selection in frames and very little to choose from. I found some sunglasses but may not get any frames or lenses. This is inconvenient for I would have to go some where else and then be looking at additional exam fees just to visit another eye care center. The receptionist said he would make note of what I wanted and try to have the vendors stock what I was interested in.

I went to State College Eye Care for my yearly check up. Arrived on time and was checked by the doctor right away. Dr. Young is on target in what is needed to be done. I'm impressed by the modern medical eye equipment in her office. She took her time checking my eyes and was extremely satisfied. Her staff are very respectful and very helpful. I would recommended her service to anyone.

I have been going here for eye care for years and have never had an issue with them. I went in for an eye exam and had to get a new pair of glasses. Even without insurance, I had very little trouble. I had to fill out some paperwork when I went in, because I didn't have insurance. From walking in the door to walking out was about 10-15 minutes.

I was greeted as I walked in to the office. As a first-time patient I had documents to complete. The receptionist quickly went through it with me. The lobby was clean and tidy. The associate that completed the first part of my exam was professional and explained each part he was going to do. The doctor herself exuded competence yet was very kind. She went so far as to show me the pictures of the back of my eyeball. She explained the health of my eyes and educated me on what an unhealthy photo would show. The entire appointment was quick and painless!

Easily the most efficient eye doctor I've ever gone to. My appointment always starts exactly on time, if not early, and then I'm typically checking out 15 minutes after that. No waiting around for the doctor, she's literally waiting in the exam room for me. The doctor and staff are all so friendly and make an effort to get to know you. I've been probably 5 or so different eye doctors throughout my life and State College Eye Care is 100% the best.

Your front line staff are wonderful. Picking glasses is a hard job and they were so willing to help. I thanked them for helping me pick my frames because I valued their help. When I made that comment, they said that they love what they do! KUDOS to you. Not many people can say that they love what they do. Keep up the good work, just sorry that I only see you every two years.

We love coming to your office. My kids feel like they are not just another face coming in the door. The only thing my older teen said he wished there was more MEN metal or halfandhalf frames for that were not so showie, bright in colors. Even some frameless frames would be cool. This would be on the low income rack. And his comment is because he has had the same frame just different colors because he didn't like any of the men's other frames. Otherwise.we love your office.

I have been very happy with my experiences with Dr. Young and the staff at State College Eye Care. They are friendly, organized, and efficient. I used to go to an eye doctor who would dilate my pupils and the rest of the day I could not read on a computer, was terribly light sensitive, and would end up with a headache. State College Eye Care has equipment that can test the eyes without dilating the pupils.

After 18 years of doctoring in Pittsburgh and having numerous glaucoma specialists across Pennsylvania, Dr. Young is the first and only doctor that has been able to get my glaucoma under control. She has determination and dedication to her patients, like no other I've ever witnessed. She and her staff genuinely care for their patients and offer superior care.
