Setting an appointment was easy; clinic is clean and well sanitized; loved the x-ray machine - this made the process easy, comfortable and convenient; hygienist (Hayley) was great at what she does. Overall, positive experience at the dentist's chair!

This was our second visit and being honest it was not the best. The hygienist was very short when asked if I could accompany my 7yo giving no explanation as to why. After asking the front desk person who was very pleasant she explained why they do that. I still didn’t agree but nevertheless respected their rules. When my second son was called back the hygienist was someone different and was very friendly, I mentioned wanting to go back after X-ray and she said absolutely we can do that. They call me back for my 7yo after his X-rays and they have already done a cleaning, and tell me incorrect information bc my son being 7 didn’t understand her and was very shy. While I sat with my 7yo waiting on the Dr to come in, i hear the staff say something to the affect of “mom can’t come in she’s with her other son. I figured the doc would come to my 7yo first since he went back first and then we would go to my 11yo. A few minutes later the doc walks in with my 11 yo and says his exam and cleaning is complete. No one asked me to come as they said they would, nothing. Although the doc is friendly he was not very informative. I had to ask did he have cavities, what do you think about braces etc. Our appt was at 10am - we went back at 1012am and 1017am and were out the door by 1040am. That seems awfully quick and rushed for two children to have their exam and cleaning. Also they gave one of my sons a toy after his exam as a “prize” but didn’t give my 11 yo one or even offer. Not a big deal but if you have kids you can imagine when one gets something and the other doesn’t for doing the same thing it causes an issue and makes the one who didn’t get a toy feel left out. We most likely will not return as it just didn’t feel like the right fit for us.

I recently moved to Indy and was searching for another dentist. I hoped to find one similar to my small-town dentist, although I knew it might be a little hard given Indy's size. However, this place exceeded my expectations. Dr. Mills and his crew are very kind and organized. If you're looking for a dentist with that small-town feel, I highly recommend going there!

Our family has been going to Southport Dental (Dr. Ryan Mills) for over 19 years. The office has a warm, friendly vibe, and we always get excellent care for all our dental needs. Southport Dental uses professional Dental Hygienists for teeth cleaning and the office has the latest in X-ray equipment for the most accurate assessment of cavities. The staff does a great job with billing and maximizing dental insurance benefits. Dr. Mills and his great staff make visiting the dentist a pleasure!

Love this office and have been extremely happy after coming here in 2020. However it’s really disappointing I’m now only able to get in for routine cleaning 10 months out. Would really like this done twice a year. Hoping more availability is coming in the near future.

Couldnt get the xray piece in my mouth with choking/gaging. Was told by the xrat tech that appointment couldnt proceed unless I finished xray. So I left. Will be looking for new dentist that doesnt do that type of xray. Always had best service before.

I had not been to the dentist in far too long and needed to find somewhere close to home. Based on the recommendation from an Orthodontist friend, I chose Dr. Mills. I could not be more grateful that I did! Amazing staff, gorgeous and clean space, caring and friendly from start to finish. I need some work done, so we scheduled out those future appointments and I was told the cost of those appointments up front. No surprises. No unnecessary work or procedures. I feel so fortunate to be a new patient here and look forward to these future appointments.

They moved their schedule, accommodating my needs instead of asking me to take off work and re- schedule for another day. It is worth the 45min drive to the office!

My hygienist and I got off on the wrong foot. We never “clicked” and I seemed to have difficulty following her direction. X-rays seem more comprehensive than before. I had trouble breathing and was glad that was over! Scraping and polishing was tolerable and thorough.

Best hygienists are at this office. First they are great with scheduling! Then you rarely wait very long to be seen. Then the hygienist takes you back and you are done quickly if you are taking care of your teeth between visits. Lastly the coolest dentist comes in to check you teeth. This office has an easy laid back calm environment that I greatly love and appreciate. Seriously the best dental office!

Dr. Mills is by far the best Dentist I have ever been under the care of! He is very professional, yet has a great "bedside manner" and sense of humor, which helps to put his patients at ease. I also give the highest marks to his staff. The Dental Assistants/Technicians and front office staff are all very professional and very pleasant to interface with. It is kind of hard to imagine a dental practice that I look forward to seeing, but Dr. Mills and staff fill that bill. Even when I know I will have to have restorative work done I have no anxiety when walking in their door! I have been a patient of Dr. Mills for many years and have to thank my wife for pointing me to his practice many years ago when we moved to the south side of Indy. I have referred friends and family to this practice.

Clean, comfortable office vibe with super-friendly staff. Gentle hygienists with a soft touch, and the right equipment to make the experience as comfy as it can be. Dr. Mills is knowledgeable and funny. The only down side is that for regular appointments they are booked out so many months in advance, so plan ahead!

I received a cleaning and a filling here. Dr. Mills was very nice and had me do the filling the same day that I came in for an X-ray, which was very convenient rather than having to schedule another appointment. The young woman who performed the filling on my front tooth was very patient and attentive to my picky requests. It was my front tooth after all, and she was very understanding, and did a great job. The hygienist who performed the routine cleaning on a separate day was also courteous. It was the fastest cleaning I've ever received and I've been getting these done every 6 months for as long as I can remember, but she did attribute it to my good oral hygiene.

Had pain in lower since Wed night. Took OTC pain pills around the clock. Called on Monday and Dr.Mills could see me within two hours. Was seen immediately and given pain med script and antibiotic script and a referral to Dr. Malooley. After 24 hours of treatment I am feeling much better and waiting to see Dr.Malooley on Tues.

Since the very first visit I have felt like this group of medical professionals makes it their sole mission to be your partner in the care of your teeth and everything related. Dr. Mills Best Dentist Ever! I had a terrible experience with a dentist when I was a child and have always had a fear of going back. When I went to Dr. Mills when I was 14 he completely changed the way I viewed a dentist. He has always had patience with me and my terrible teeth. Now that I am an adult I couldn’t picture me going to another dentist. The staff has always been flexible and kind even if he spends little time in the room he usually explains and it’s all in my best interest so he doesn’t keep me waiting. Never an ordeal. I get an appointment reminder, always in around appointment time with very little wait. Courteous and professional service with never an oversell. Years ago I went to a dentist and every time I opened my mouth she thought I needed a crown. At Southport Dental, I'm always given my options with reasons I can understand and my decision is always respected. They are the best!

Happy with the hygienist as always. She does a great job and doesn't hurt me in the process. I would like to see a little better measures with regards to the Covid protocol. The front desk workers had no masks and it was not required for the patients in the waiting rooms. I understand that we are here to have someone work in our mouth for 20 minutes or so, but I think a bit more steps could be taken for patient safety in the waiting room.

The staff is very friendly, efficient, and professional. I’m always in/out for my cleanings very quickly with very little interruption to my daily routine. The one time I had to schedule an emergency visit, they were able to see me right away. I thought it would just be to explain my options, but they were able to take me back immediately and repair my chipped tooth (same-day). It was perfect because I had feared I’d have to wait until after the holidays before it could be repaired.

Excellent, timely and a caring atmosphere. The three people I dealt with were top-of-the-line. Lindsay ran the front and payment desks. She was very helpful and efficient and answered all my questions. Jessica completely explained my procedure and also answered all my questions.
