Sober Eye care is small however very friendly, never an issue with making appointments as they are very accommodating, I was in the process of switching as I have medical issues with my eyes and see a Dr. at a larger firm . When I was making an appt. For just an eye exam they told we’re going to schedule me out like 4 mos . Unacceptable! Sober is small but friendly , accommodating and doesn’t have the corporate BS with it making it easier all the way around .

Both of the Sober doctors take excellent care of the eyesight of my husband and me. We see Jason mainly who is always thorough and explains everything well, answering all of our question. He helps me with dry eye and eye allergies. My husband who is 85 has problems with double vision and some loss of vision. Dr. Sober does all possible to improve the his vision as much as possible.

From the time I walked into Sober Family Eye Care until the time I left, I was treated with the utmost respect, friendliness, and professionalism by everyone who worked there. I was immediately greeted with a smile by one of the receptionists at the front desk who asked if she could be of help to me. After a brief "check-in", Dr. Sober was notified of my arrival. He personally came to the waiting area to escort me back to the exam room. Throughout the process of examining my eyes, Dr. Sober explained what and why he was conducting each part of the exam. When I expressed concern about his findings of a particular part of the exam, Dr. Sober took the time to explain how my vision had changed (as a result of my cataract surgery in early February), reassured me that he believed a new prescription would correct the problem, and went on to say that if the issue persisted after wearing the new glasses for a specified period of time I should return and he would be able to prescribe an addition to my prescription to correct the problem. I knew that his conservative approach to my problem was prudent and saved me money (which was much appreciated). Dr. Sober's reassuring words and demeanor throughout the exam conveyed that he genuinely cared about my well-being as it was affected by my eyesight. Once the exam was completed, Dr. Sober escorted me to the front desk where I paid for his service and was given the prescription for my new glasses (which I could have purchased there or take to another optical location). The same receptionist who greeted me gave me another smile and completed the visit. This is my second visit to Sober Family Eyecare. Both times were exceptional. I have also referred this practice to family and friends who have had the same experience. You won't be disappointed if you have your next eye exam at Sober Family Eyecare.

My 9 yo son has very specific needs for his glasses. He has a bifocal that must bisect his pupil. This was the fourth store we visited, and Rob was awesome. Rather than go behind us and tell us all the glasses that won't work, he selected a number of frames for him that would work. My son then picked from that group. It was a very positive experience and I immediately made myself an appointment for a few days later and bought glasses for myself.

I called in a panic to see if Dr. Sober could see me/help me since I had a contact lens stuck in my eye that I could not get out and my eye was hurting. I went right to the office and he took me back within minutes of my arrival. He was able to get the lens out, checked my cornea, and inserted a new lens. Felt very comfortable entering, safety measures were in place, staff was very friendly. Inquired about if all equipment had been sanitized before exam was assured it was done between each patient. Came back next day to pick out new frames which I was the only one doing so.. Was not rushed had a great selection in my insurance plan. Only thing is trying on frames its not possible to clean each one after different people have tried on, just tried to take my own safety measures as much as I could. All in all will recommend Sober eye care to friends & family.

Dr. Jason Sober, the son, is excellent! He is very thorough. He talks you through each step. He is progressive and keeps up with the ophthalmological advancements and he shares that information. He a genuinely nice person, which is demonstrated in his professional duties. I would highly recommend his service. I live about 45 minutes away, but I am willing to go the distance for a doctor that I trust! I have been going to this doctor for about 13 years and have no plans on going anywhere!

This was my first visit to this office and I was impressed with how I was waited on as soon as I entered the door. My appointment was at 1:00pm and I believe I was seen at 1:00pm. The doctor was knowledgeable, confident, explained each process as we went along, and answered all of my questions. I almost felt like I was in a mini-course. I'm ready to make an appointment for a family member and have already recommended the service at this establishment to a friend who, before my visit, asked me to come back and let her know what I thought. Although I knew my financial options, it was nice to listen to them again.

This place is awesome! the office is clean, well organized and inviting. Every member of the team i have met so far have been friendly and kind. the doctor is very patient. The doctor will answer any questions you have about any of the machines and will explain how and what each of them do and work. They genuinely care about your comfort for your visit. once you have the results of the test's he will take as much time as you need to fully understand them. they have a fantastic selection of frames, any one can find a pair that will fit them how they like. and again they are very patient during the whole process. fully recommend them to everyone i know.

Dr. Sober is the most outstanding optometrist that we have ever had. He thoroughly answers all of our questions explaining everything in layman’s terms. In addition, he guides us in our many problems such as cataracts, dry eyes, and double vision which we have as we age directing us to trustworthy ophthalmologists if necessary. He carefully listens to our vision problems and thinks outside the box to help solve them. He has invested in a machine to give even a more indepth analysis of the eye to detect eye problems earlier than even Dr. Sober’s thorough exam. He truly cares for his patients.

Service was great with the eye doctor. It was at the very end with the staff that I was totally left unsatisfied as a customer. The staff repeatedly refused to offer additional explanation to my questions. I was under the impression that I would be able to obtain a new set of glasses. It was the primary purpose of my visit when I set the appointment. I explained that my daughter was within the time frame to get a new pair of glasses a few months ago and I should be on the same schedule. The staff was unwillingly to check on previous records to help provide an explanation for me. When I questioned the staff about why my family member was able to get a new set of glasses and we are on the same insurance and had original appointments at the same time his only response was "I don't know." I tried to re-frame my question and he could only respond that he didn't know. I think I asked about three times. Taking the time off of work and making the drive ended up being a total waste of time. I wish they would have either told me up front that I wouldn't be able to get a new pair of glasses or the staff would have put in the effort to provide a suitable explanation. Previous visits had been good until now.

After shuffling through numerous "eye care specialist", some who would do exams for glasses others an exam for medical conditions but not both? Eye insurance for one thing, medical insurance for the other. Dr. Sober can not only manage all my eye care needs he can even explain the insurance. This was a new patient visit for my daughter coming from the recommendation of friends. We were very happy with our visit. Dr. Sober and his staff were very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Throughout the visit, Dr. Sober, explains exactly what he is doing and why he is doing it, which is very informative. I have been seen by both Jason and Theodore Sober and at each visit I know that I get an excellent, thorough exam with all my many questions answered.
