I have been going here for years and have seen multiple doctors. Dr. Joan is by far my favorite. She took time to actually listen and help with the issues I have been having. I 1000% recommend Simpson Optical and I gladly drive an hour every time I have an appointment to receive quality care.

Dr. Bobby was amazing. This was my 5 year olds first trip to an eye Dr and it was for an emergency visit. He was extremely patient and caring and over the course of 4 visits made my daughters experience great. She went in terrified and left very comfortable with having here eyes checked. I would recommend him and simpson optical to everyone.

Great visit from the front desk to check out. The front desk employee was friendly and energetic. Dr. Joy is the best! She is friendly, personable, and makes sure you have the best vision correction possible. Dr. Joy takes the time to discuss any eye issues and provide advice to assist, in my case, dry eyes. The check out staff went out of their way to be helpful with my contact lens order and explain my insurance benefits and charges. It was a great visit and I will definitely be back.

Just want to thank the whole staff for being understanding. Was past the cut of time for my appointment by 3 mins past the extra 15. With my wife being a surgeon and knowing I would most likely have rescheduled they were able to fit me in. I can not thank them enough for their help and the care I got.

I saw Dr. Frank for the first time ever and I cannot say enough good things about her. She was extremely friendly, took time to discuss my situation, provided samples when she could, etc. From walking in the door and being greeted pleasantly at the receptionist desk through to checking out it was a wonderful experience!

I really like Dr. Nerderman. She is very professional and thorough. I would recommend her to anyone. However, after my daughter's appointment we were brought back out into the lobby area and asked to take a look at glasses to see what style/color would best suit my daughter. After looking for some time, she picked out a pair that she wanted. The gentleman that helped us came over and told me that my daughter's insurance was terminated and had been since 2021. I explained to him that I had spoken to the insurance prior to her visit to verify her benefits myself, so I knew that was incorrect. Keep in mind...In this particular Simpson Optical the area where people wait and the area where you consult with the techs are all together in a small area. Hearing the conversation of others is very easy to do. After explaining to him that I know my daughter has insurance, he asks me to wait and walks away. I assumed he would come back telling me everything was ok and we would proceed with ordering her glasses. This was not the case. He again came back to me and said, " We checked again and your daughter does not have any insurance coverage/benefit and her plan was terminated in 2021 so unless you want to pay o.o.p for her glasses we cant move forward". I was very taken back by the response and his tone. This was extremely embarrassing to me since others were obviously hearing our conversation. I tried explaining to him that I had spoken to them and I know for a fact she has coverage, but he stopped me mid sentence and said " There is NO coverage, NONE". At this point, I wasn't sure what to do, so I told him that I would contact my insurance company myself to see what the issue is, and he walked away. He never spoke to me about anything else. Since this is a survey and I was asked for my opinion, I wanted to let you know my experience. I have worked in Customer Service for 25+ years and the way the gentleman handled the situation with me was very unprofessional.

Dr. Daniels is just so easy to talk to and very thorough in every aspect. There’s no wait time, convenient location, pleasant surroundings. The staff try to accommodate in every way. Great selection of frames if you want to take care of ordering new glasses on the spot.

My most recent experience with Simpson Optical was amazing. I needed to see a doctor pretty quickly, and from making the appointment, checking in, and seeing Dr. Joy Simpson--everything was quick, friendly and smooth. Dr. Joy instilled great confidence with her kind manner and explaining every step/diagnosis. I left feeling that I had been listened to and been diagnosed correctly. Needed a same day appointment to examine an irritated eye before the weekend and planned trip. The office staff was very helpful and accommodating. Dr. Joy Simpson was very thorough. She took the time to do a thorough exam, finding the cause of the irritation and making sure there wasn’t any corneal issues. When I had an issue procuring the prescribed eye drops, Dr. Simpson and the office staff phoned in a new prescription late on a Friday and followed up past closing to make sure I got the medicine I needed. Wonderful care that put the patient first!

I had a pretty severe corneal abrasion on Sunday evening, around 6pm. We called Simpson Optical and the doc on call was Dr. Potter. First, let me state my relief in avoiding the VA ER on a Sunday night. Dr. Potter was incredibly helpful, caring, punctual, and thorough. Not only did she see me back the following morning with another round of pain-relieving and anti-infection treatment, she also made numerous calls to next level care facilities to arrange a visit for me. Even after I had been released from her care, she has continued to follow-up with me to ensure I am receiving GREAT care OUTSIDE of the Simpson Optical offices as well as making sure I didn't need anything. I have been going to Simpson since I got out of the Army and moved to Lexington in 2012, and will continue to utilize them as my primary for both myself and my family. Even after corrective surgery and not needing to purchase glasses or contacts from them, they treat me like the most important patient. Very grateful for both Dr. Potter and the culture promoted at Simpson Optical.

Besides being very convenient, Simpson Optical has always been a pleasant experience. The dr I saw was very nice and her choice of words when mentioning some things I need to work on with my A1C and blood sugar. She explained very thoroughly what the pictures showed of my eyes. She was very nice and thoughtful with her choice of words to let me know I need to pay attention to the things that could cause my eye sight to be effected.n

For me choosing a new eye doctor is not easy! So I let my mother go first and the new patient care and support she received was exceptional. When I suddenly developed a problem, I wanted the same doctor but due to scheduling got a different doctor. Again - excellent. Everything about these visits and their services, including personal touch, was reassuring. I highly recommend Simpson Optical.
