Great Dental care for children. My Daughter needed a tooth pulled and they immediately fit us in while she was still waiting in the chair after her cleaning. They could have pushed us back to a later date, but he made it work. Good teamwork in the office.

Safari smiles always makes my children feel comfortable and at ease. Intimidating things like x-rays are fun and exciting for my children because of how the staff encourages and uplifts them. My children love going to the dentist and the staff is always accommodating to a child’s anxiety and unpredictable behavior.

My daughter is almost 4 years old and she LOVES going to the dentist ever since we started going to Safari. She loves it so much that now she wants to be a dentist when she grows up. I had awful dental experiences as a child and I'm so, so, so glad that she will never have to deal with that!!! Thank you Safari for making it such a positive and fun experience for her!

We took my 2 year old daughter here for her first dental visit and they were great! We didn't have to wait at all, we were in and out in about 20 minutes! They made sure my daughter was comfortable and having fun, and overall we were so surprised at what an easy and pain-free (and cry-free) visit it was! She's actually been asking to go back to the dentist because she had so much fun. Dr. Chris French was excellent and gentle with her, and the dental assistant was amazing too.

Fantastic at easing kids’ uneasiness and worry about the dentist! My kids love going to the dentist. I wish they could be my dentist too, except it’s only for kids, and I don’t think I’ll pass for 18 and under anymore.

Safari Smiles has provided nothing but an exciting and pleasant dentist experience for our daughter. She's been at this dentist office for 2 years or so now and she loves going to the dentist, something I never experienced as a child. Very thankful for Dr. French and the staff at Safari Smiles for giving my daughter a positive outlook towards her dental hygiene!

Safari Smiles is the best dentist for young children in Tuolumne County! My children are always eager and excited to go to the dentist and leave with smiles, even after getting a cavity filled! The staff is knowledgeable and professional and always able to answer any and all questions I have. I wish there was a Safari Smiles for adults! I would be their first patient!

Dr French and his team have been so great with my son from the beginning, he doesn’t even know there’s a stigma with “hating” or being afraid of going to the dentist. He actually loves it! He gets excited to go and talks about it afterwards, eager to go back.

Best children’s dentist ever! They have mastered how to engage and interact with children in a way that makes the invasive procedure of dentistry fun, comfortable and easy on the kids. I never thought my kids would be agreeable to having their teeth examined, but they eagerly jumped right in because of how the staff approached and coached them along the way.

My children have sensory issues and had not seen a dentist in over four years. The staff was very friendly & calm. The x-rays went well considering my one son HATES anything in his mouth and anyone in his face. The cleaning was quick & easy and the exam was simple. Both of my children said they liked it there and have no problems in going back.

I really enjoy bringing my children in and appreciate you taking the time to explain the importance of taking care of their teeth and what can happen if you don't. Also thank you for thoroughly explaining procedures when they are needed. My kids are never afraid to go to your office and that was the opposite for me growing up so that is a definite plus in my book.

We appreciate the attentiveness of the staff towards each of our 3 children (ages 4, 2 and 1). They are kind, gentle and extremely patient with them. It's become fun for our 4 and 2 year olds to visit because they know that, if they listen, they get a toy and a treat. The decor is inviting and non-threatening for children, which we also appreciate.

We were met by an excellent staff, they were all very friendly and welcoming! Ashton said he can't wait to go back to the dentist?! What 7 year old WANTS to go to the dentist? I guess that's what happens when you have a fun, positive experience, like he had today!

I can't thank you enough for fitting Karter in last moment for his first emergency dentist appointment. I was in such shock that he broke a tooth and when I left the office I felt a thousand times better.

Nobody, including Doctor knew what she was scheduled for. Had to consult with ortho.Dr. French's assistant during the procedure was very good. The procedure was not explained well,AFTER it was done the assistant did a good job explaining how much pain she would be in and further treatment. Front office couldn't quote me because she didn't know how to bill it, once she figured it out said it "probably" wasn't covered. SO it would be $500. I said we wouldn't be returning for another "optional" procedure for that price and I feel I should've been told this BEFORE the procedure, or she needs to bill in a way that it WILL be covered.

This is Autumn's 3rd visit here and she is more and more comfortable visiting the dentist. I am so happy with the care my son receives at this office! It is over an hour away, and more expensive (slightly) than the dentists closer by, BUT my son is always comfortable and happy here. Also, the type of procedures and methods used here are swift and painless, creating a trauma-free dental experience. When Denti-Cal changed this year, I chose to keep my son here rather than go to another dentist. The peace of mind is worth it to my son and I. I couldn't be happier with Dr. French and his team of professional, kind, and gentle assistants.

He has never opened his mouth at the dentist (formerly took him to Dr. Dale) and he is in the 2-3 year old "I don't want to do anything" phase. He actually made it through x-rays, a cleaning, an exam and still smiled in the picture at the end. AMAZING! I have already told everyone I know who has kids to come to your office!

I would absolutely recommend Safari Smiles and Dr French. The environment is extremely welcoming and fun, as is the staff. We only had two visits and felt like family. My 18 month old daughter had to be sedated for extractions and fillings and we chose to do it in the office. The anesthetist Dr Korando was extremely thorough, compassionate and professional. We are on the second day after her work and she is carefree and happy, having no pain or discomfort. We felt completely cared for and will continue to trust Dr French and the Safari Smiles staff for our children's dental care!

Safari Smiles provides excellent service! Dr. French is very gentle and works wonderfully with children of all ages! I had to get a root canal done and he called just to check on me, so sweet! All of the girls are just as awesome!
