My annual visit to River City Eye in the Holllywood district went smoothly and, as usual, was very pleasant. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and attentive. Dr. Provost takes the time to answer my questions fully and patiently. It's great to feel welcome, accepted and confident about the skills and knowledge of this excellent eye care facility.

What a great place for eye care. Appointments are always on time, I'm always greeted with a smile from both the scheduler technicians and the eye doctor. I've seen Dr. Carrie Breeden, and she's really nice, but I've mostly seen Dr. Bret Provost and he is fabulous. He's kind, patient, and creative with different approaches as I try to negotiate my really poor distance vision and the increasingly poor close up vision as age catches up. Shen I arrived 5 minutes late and harried to my last Saturday morning appointment, his calm manner and kind approach completely transformed my day.

Bret was very patient with my kiddo. He even tried to do part of his eye exam in the office area as The kid was comfortable in that setting. Once in the room to finish the exam, the doctor was even more patient as my kid just wanted to touch everything he had in his hands. Our whole family goes here and will continue to do so.

The optometrist and optician were both very kind and thorough. Everything was explained well without making me feel like they were talking down to me. The optician really listened to my needs and preferences when it came to frames and was very helpful in finding a pair for me. I felt welcomed and cared for. I would recommend this clinic.

The team at River City Eyecare made me feel comfortable and welcome from the time I walked in the door to the time I walked out. I accepted their offer of coffee, expecting Keurig or an hour-old drip. They pulled out a pour-over setup and made a fresh cup. I have sensitive eyes and have difficulty keeping them open for eyedrops and bright flashes. The imaging technician was patient as my movements and blinks necessitated more eye photos than should have been necessary. Dr. Bret helped keep my eyes open while shining a blue light after some yellow drops. I felt entirely at ease during my visit. Bret then made lens recommendations based on my lifestyle and the nature of my job. I'm happy that I chose River City, and I intend to come back here when I need to update my prescription later on.

Excellent work! I wasn't there for corrective lenses, I was seen for an injury. Dr. Provost knew just what to do and I was in and out in no time. They also saw me as a walk-in. Super nice folks, all around!

Dr Carrie is awesome and explains everything very well. It's great to be able to be in and out quickly for my yearly eye exam. Everyone at the Hollywood location is lovely, helpful, kind and knowledgable. And they have a really great selection of glasses (a lot of really unique, quirky choices too!), which is amazing for the relatively small space.

River City Eyecare is a great place to get an updated eye exam and to get frames! They are easy, no fuss, comprehensive, informative, respectful, and fun! If you don't have insurance, they offer a discount. They really take care of you as an individual and care about your health and happiness. The doctor was so approachable and explained details regarding my eyes, what to look out for, how things work, etc. Also, I always have trouble finding the right frames, but they found the best ones for me really quickly and were so helpful with finding the right options for me. So glad I stopped by!

After reading the great reviews of this optometrist, I decided to give them a try. From the moment I walked in I was treated extremely well. The two opticians that greeted me were kind and courteous. The optometrist was also quite friendly and the exam was quite efficient. He also took the time to go over my retinal scans, which I appreciated. They also had a great selection of glasses. A bit pricey, but the brands they have are great quality and they worked with me to make sure I wasn’t spending more than I needed. Overall a great experience. If you’re looking for a new eyecare center, I highly recommend them.

Had a great experience with River City Eyecare! Not only did they get me in at the last minute when I suddenly needed to get my eyes checked, but they took their time and were helpful (but not pushy!) as I dithered over which frames to choose.

Dr. Provost has a very calm demeanor and explains every step. I appreciate this, as it is not only interesting, but make me feel empowered as a patient, in regards to my eye health. The opticians checked my insurance thoroughly and explained all my options in detail. I always recommend River City Eyecare.

I highly recommend the Hollywood location (although I'm sure their other office is just as wonderful). Dr. Provost spent the time with me and my teen daughter to come up with accurate diagnoses, the correct prescriptions, and find the perfect glasses, sunglasses and contacts to meet each of our needs. Jake and Jenny were flexible when scheduling and easy to work with during fittings.

I left beaming from my first visit here. I'm a little hesitant toward healthcare professionals because good ones are difficult to find, but Dr. Provost took his time and was thorough in his explanations and general conversations. He made me feel like he truly cares for my well-being, not just my eyesight. I will certainly keep him in my circle of preferred providers. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating.

I felt very well-cared for by the team at River City Eyecare. Dr. Provost walked me through the results of my screening and made sure I understood exactly what he was looking for and what it all meant. Jake was my optician, and I could not be happier with my experience with him. He was so incredibly helpful and took the time to walk me through frame selection even though I was feeling very indecisive that day.

Dr. Provost and Jake were both great. Very thorough throughout my appointment in evaluating and testing my eyesight, explaining what is going on with my eyes, and they ways that glasses would help. Unfortunately, the prices of the lenses and frames at River City were just too high for my budget. I'm sure they would have produced a great product, but unfortunately my insurance didn't cover that.

I needed a last minute eye exam for an issue I was having. Everyone I called close to home (walking distance) was booked. I called River City and they could see me that day. I was greeted warmly upon entering and offered a beverage. I was there for an eye issue primarily, exam secondly. Such great care from start to finish.

This is a place where I can get fitted with the correct lens prescription for my eyes. Many places I have gone were not able to fit me so I could see properly. I love both doctors at River City, they take the time to make sure my prescription is the right one for me.

I like the staff and Dr. Breeden, because they're friendly and easygoing, and it's a quiet, welcoming office. I first saw Dr. Breeden a couple years ago at one of the eye places in the mall and liked her approach so much that I tracked her down at her private practice, and her exam and manner was as professional as the first time.

Was able to get an appointment for an eye exam with just a couple of day's lead. The staff and doctor were all extra personable. Frame selection is small, but they had some gems so it is well worth checking out.

Everyone was very kind and helpful. My prescription was wrong, but I think I am maybe not always clear. They helped me find the right glasses and the right prescription. And they did it in a supportive way. So happy I switched to this office! The frames are also really cool.

I think Angie was the optician who helped me choose glasses. I appreciated her feedback! My only suggestion for improvement is to have a few more choices for frames. You have a lot of good classic frames, but I would like to be able to have a few more colorful/modern choices, or even more color choices with the classic frames. Thanks!

The doctor was excellent and I would return for another check up. Spencer provides great customer service but I found the pricing on the lenses to not be competitive and not make sense.I was quoted $95 for Crizal Alize but then also $15 for UV? If I am correct this coating includes UV? I went with another lens option which was $50 less at Alberta Eye Care for the exact same lenses.

I just received a verbal result on my eyes but I do not know what strength of cheaters to use and what was the result of my eye exam. I have sent you 3 emails asking for the results but have not heard back from you. I am hoping to hear from some one soon about what king of glasses are recommended and what prescription for glasses I would need if I decided to go somewhere else for glasses. Please contact me. As it was my first-time-ever at an eye doctor I felt very well taken care of, and felt like full attention was given to me, and all of my many questions and help I wanted in choosing frames, during my entire visit.
