As far as the business as a whole, my family and I LOVE IT!! Been coming here for years but on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 was the first time that I’ve ever experienced a rude Receptionist. Ms. Chris/Kris had a very nasty, rude and snappy reply with everything that I asked or mentioned. Usually, I’m hotheaded but my kids were with me and I love this place so I said to myself I wouldn’t make a scene unless she made one more smart remark to me. I get that she was “under the weather” and may have been overwhelmed with work, judging by the papers in front of her, but that is still no reason to talk down or be snappy as if she was talking to one of her children! Other than that, as usual everyone else including my Dr. were their normal nice and happy selves! I actually forgot about all of the rudeness encountered until I walked out and saw her again. I was SUPER glad that I didn’t have to deal with her anymore! But 5 Stars for the business and all of the staff excluding Ms. Chris/Kris!

I've been a patient at Professional Eyecare Associates for several years, and have never had an unpleasant experience. Also, I have Diabetes 2, and Dr. Phillips is aware of this and takes extra care to ensure that there's no damage to my eyes.

Loved the visit and The doctor was very professional, informative, and walked me to the appointment clerk. His nurse that did the intake was friendly, I worried a little about the front desk, no one had on a mask. I have many medical issues and stay home to avoid the COVID19 virus. I arrived earlier for my appointment (don’t like being late). I walked in the door and up to the counter and the employees (3 ladies ) having a deep full blown conversation about another employee and never acknowledge/greeted me. As I entered the door I said “Good morning”!!! Called to desk about 15 minutes later fill this out. Just no customer service. However the optometrist was great greeted as soon as he entered the room. He explained everything to me and ask if I had any questions. When we was done talking he stated have a good weekend.

I am on my wife's insurance policy, and she goes to your office in Canton. The last couple of times I have been to your Old Canton Rd. office, the lady asked my about my coverage I told her that I wasn't sure but she could check with the Canton office and they could tell her because my wife has been going there for years. It seemed as if it was too much trouble for them to call Canton and inquire about my the amount her policy would pay. On this years visit I was picking out frames and the lady that assisted me, evidently did not familiarize herself with our insurance plan and the amount my insurance would pay on the a new pair of frames, she gave me incorrect information. I didn't see any frames I liked in the ones she said were covered by our insurance. Now I have to make another trip to choose frames and then another trip to pick up. I realize the additional trips are not that much of a concern to people that don't have to take time out of their day to drive over, but it's about a 40 minute round trip from my office and is not on my way home, so it is an inconvenience for me at any time of the day to make a trip across town to your Old Canton Rd. office, I plan to come back and pick out frames but next time I may choose some where else to conduct my business. 4.8 Wait time this visit was about 20 minutes. I have waited considerably longer in the past. Was not given my prescription when I left without ordering glasses. My non-insured price for anti-inflammatory eye drops at Walmart was over $76. I was not offered a written prescription to shop price; it was phoned in. I know eye drop prescriptions are infamously expensive, but I couldn’t get the drops because they were cost prohibitive. Dr Phillips was thorough and patiently answered my questions.

The doctor I saw yesterday was able to do a very thorough examination of my eyes, geared towards finding the cause of my issue. I've seen 2 other eye docs in the past few months and they didn't offer an explanation and treatment. Very happy now.

Had to ask for new patient paperwork. It wasn't sent to my home ahead of time. Got to appointment 25 minutes early and had to wait 40 minutes past appointment time for receptionist to wnter all my info as i couldn't get called back until it was entered. Once called bavk the experience was wonderful. Everyone was fruendlh and took their time explaining things.

I get frustrated during doctor visits when nurses, assistants, etc. do not introduce themselves. The young lady who did the prep work prior to my seeing the doctor never introducted herself. Neither did the doctor, or the individual who assisted me in choosing a new pair of eyeglasses!

I think it would be nice if you offered an itemized bill. It's confusing when buying glasses/lenses because the insurance companies don't give you all the info you need. So you end up hearing things like, "oh $40 copay is only for x, but you need y." It would be nice to be able to see, "Cash-paying price is x, you are paying y." That kind of thing. I'm not sure my insurance is even worth paying the premiums for after having to pay over $400 for my glasses/lenses using my insurance.

Price for glasses is entirely too high, especially when compared to places such as Wal-Mart. I went to Wal-Mart Optical right after my appt. and was able to get the lenses I wanted for less than half of the price I was quoted at Professional Eyecare Associates. The frames are not quite as good; however,I can live with that since I paid so much less for the lenses.

Well, the dr that saw my son really needs to slow down a bit and talk to his customers. He makes jokes and small talk and that's fine, but I always feel like he's rushing us on. Don't like that feeling. The entire encounter is rushed....I will say though that I was glad to see him answer the questions my son had. That's all.

I really didn't see anything that I would say needs to be changed, I had to come by without an appointment due to a problem with my left eye the office staff was super nice to work me in at almost closing time, although they are always that way. The young lady who called my back and got the information as to what was going on with my eye always does a great job and very friendly. Dr. Phillips is awesome, he seems to have corrected the issue as far as I can tell as of today seems like it is definitely getting better. He is a great doctor and very nice, explains everything that is going on and what the plan of care needs to be!! I was a patient of this clinic several years ago probably 5-6 maybe more and the friendly atmosphere just wasn't as pleasant as it is now. Great Job!!!
