Mary Ann did an awesome job! This was my first time having her as my hygienist & absolutely adore her. Dr. Gomez is always great and answered my concerns I had regarding my teeth. I can't speak highly enough about everyone on the ortho side. They are just as fabulous, and I also got to meet Dr.Mike. He was wonderful and also took the time to listen to my questions and concerns. You really can't go wrong with Palmetto Smiles. They are so organized and work together like a well oiled machine. You have the best of both worlds there...I can come and get my teeth cleaned and also see my orthodontist under one roof. Everyone is nice, very helpful and they all make you feel comfortable. Also, you can text them if you have any questions etc. Huge plus for me!

Both of my 15 year olds told the staff that they were not supposed to get x-rays at this visit. The staff tried calling my cell phone while I was working and I could not answer it immediately. They then sent a text asking if they had permission to complete x-rays. I responded as quickly as I could (10 minutes later) that no I did not want them to have x-rays. During this 10 minute span of time, my ex-husband was called who was unaware of the situation. He gave permission for the x-rays. However, the children are on my insurance and I am primary decision maker for healthcare concerns. I feel that this was a deceitful and wrong way to handle the situation. Again, both the 15 year olds told the staff no x-rays were to be taken. Also, 10 minutes to respond to a call/text during the workday is not an unreasonable amount of time for a working parent. One resolution would be to file insurance for the x-rays and return the other monetary payment collected, as it was clearly stated that x-rays were not to be completed at this visit. This is only one of many instances that we have had with Palmetto Smiles in the past several years.

I've been bringing my son to Palmetto Smiles for many years--for everything from a general cleaning to sealants to a knocked-out tooth. Every employee is welcoming, kind, and great with kids. The atmosphere is always relaxed and calming. Dentists and hygienists really seem to care about (and like!) their job.

We love palmetto smiles!! Dr. Nieders is so kind and personable with my daughter. She is two and SUPER shy and was extremely nervous. He is very inviting and let her hold a mirror, touch his gloves and he made funny jokes with his mask to get her more comfortable. We didn’t feel rushed and it was a great experience. Definitely recommend him for littles or even bigger kiddos who may be nervous. He makes it fun!

I came in for my 6 months cleaning and as always Tracy was awesome!! She really is the BEST!! I had mentioned to Tracy some issues my teeth were giving me (i.e. food traps). She listened to my concerns, took some x-rays of my teeth and noticed some slight gaps which were causing food to be constantly stuck between my teeth. After my cleaning, she got me in on the Ortho side to get some pictures taken of my teeth so that Dr. Hopkins could take a look and maybe see if mt retainers may need to get tweaked. Palmetto Smiles is seriously like a one stop shop! Also, the wait time was nothing. I checked-in at 7:55 for my 8:00 appointment and within 1 minute, Tracy called me back. Another reason why I love this place!!

I felt valued as a client/patient. Each step of the appointment was explained to me clearly. There was a perfect balance of professionalism and good "bedside manner" - ok, insert "chairside manner" if you like :) I have not been to the dentist in years and need a lot of help. I was not aware of the kinds of measurements and such that dentists/hygienists take to diagnose dental/gum issues. The exam was thorough. I'm ready to come back and take the next step of scrape cleaning. I feel like I am in very capable hands here. I loved the hygienist (Maryanne maybe) and Dr. Gomez (female, I think that is the name.) Definitely glad that I came.

I called with an emergency need. My children had been patients of the practice for YEARS but I had been going to my former childhood dental practice. My plans had been to switch over to Palmetto Smiles for my routine care and I had not gotten around to calling for an appointment when the emergency arose. I called just to see if by chance I could come to them for help even though I had not made it in yet for a regular dental exam. Dr. Gomez saw me right away and restored my smile quickly. I am so appreciative!

I really can't express how I feel when I come into the office. Dr. Gomez and Crystal are not extremely effiicient with what they do, but I feel like I've stepped into an extreme friendly atmosphere. I love the different team structures but the unity and teamwork continuum even amongst the different teams including the providers! I am grateful that financial services are available and encouraged to be handled before leaving the office and even prior to scheduling major work to be completed. This is very beneficial to my husband and I to know what to expect financially instead of getting a large bill in the mail 3 months later as other medical providers offices we see like to surprise us with. I know that sounds strange, as some people dread going to the dentist. I, however, feel comfortable and enjoy my "toothly visitis". Sandra is also very special to me, she' has a great personality. I have a mouth full of dental work, 4 implants, a bridge, and many crowns. I decided on Palmetto Smiles from reviews after moving from out of state. Couldn’t be happier. We had our first visit for our 5 year old and 2.5 year old yesterday and the entire staff was wonderful! The receptionist was so sweet and and hygienists were all upbeat and absolutely fantastic with our children. Palmetto smiles has provided excellent dental care for my now adult son with autism for the last close to 20 years. They accommodated his special needs even when a long time ago he was not a very cooperative patient. Dental care could be a disaster in the wrong hands so I am grateful for the caring and service we have received from Dr. Cross (Retired), and now from Dr. Raines for the last about 4 years. My son has received care from the other dentists there as well which has been exceptional as well. The practice is well setup with excellent staff to handle both neural typical children and special needs individuals. i never want to have to look for another practice as I think dental care would be a lot harder for my son, so I wish them all the success in the world!

Always great! Never had any issues, scheduling is always quick and easy and the doctors are great with the kids. Two children had braces and it was a very smooth process. One child has also knocked out a few teeth so we have had to spend a lot of time here. The office staff always makes its pleasant.

Absolutely the best dental office around! Professionals who really care! I would not trust my children to any other office! From the dentist to the practice manager they are the best! Wonderful!

My son loves this dentist office. He never complains and says everyone is really nice to him. We’ve been coming here for a little over 2 years and we love it.

My daughter had been complaining about her tooth hurting. I called on a Friday morning and she was seen in the office within an hour. Come to find out, her pain was due to her molar coming in under it. We were not charged for the visit and we given two Palmetto Smiles t-shirts to wear! Everyone is always very friendly!
