Everyone in the office (staff and doctors) are friendly, relaxed, helpful, and happy to answer any questions. The technology is wonderful -- no drops to dilate or numb the eyes -- all the machines can take measurements without drops.

This was my first time visiting this office and I must say, I was very impressed. I felt at home right away. Dr. Gandhi was great! Very professional, nice personality, and he made sure to answer all of my questions. The assistant, Elaine, was lovely as well and also explained things clearly. The rest of the office staff was wonderful and very helpful. I definitely recommend!

I enjoy visiting Dr. Arata once a year for eye exams and having Emi's help in choosing new glasses. Free parking is easy, either on the street or above the building. Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable, including the receptioninists, the technician Cameron at the diagnostic equipment, Dr. Arata, and Emi. I ask a lot of questions and get thorough, patient answers. I like the state-of-the-art equipment. And this year I appreciated a cup of hot green tea to drink on a cold day.

This was the best experience I’ve had at an eye exam in my life. I was about ten minutes late and they still took me in almost immediately after i had checked I’m. the assistant did as all of my eye tests and explained each test thoroughly. They used up to date eye testing equipment. Then once my tests were completed i was put in a room to wait for the doctor and i surely thought he was going to ten minutes when in fact he came in the room in about two minutes which i was happily astonished by. He went over my tests results and did further eye exams and prescribed me with glasses. He informed me of solutions to solve my computer eye strain and gave me preventive and informative information on what the inside of my eye was showing. They even gave me my appointment for next year. One of his friendly staff helped me pick out the perfect glasses thank you to her for helping me pick out my first pair of glasses after i took so long. She was very patient and helpful with me and humorous. Although the only downside is that i have to wait a couple weeks to pick up my prescription due to insurance this experience was nothing short but great. Thanks Dr Viptal. I will be coming back next year

Traffic from south Orange County to LA only gets worse with time, but the eye care I get from Dr. Yumori and his staff only gets better, so it's well worth the long drive! Dr. Yumori is compassionate and understanding and took the extra time and effort to properly fit my contacts so that I could leave with much improved vision. It was truly amazing how much better I could see! Good doctors are hard to come by, and luckily, I found the best!

The staff and Doctors are always pleasant and informative. They are knowledgeable about my insurance, make sure I understand exactly what my costs will be, and I never feel surprised by the bill. I feel confident in their examinations and appreciate the thorough explanations of test results and the "big picture" with regard to my eye health. Because I have a history of glaucoma in my family, I am particularly pleased with how they track any possible changes in my eye health that might signal a problem in that area. Having moved out of Los Angeles County, we recently tried another eye doctor in our new area. When my husband starting having trouble with him vision only a couple months later, we decided to return to Pacific Eye Care for our next annual exam. We were so glad we did! It turns out Dr. Matsumoto found a large cataract in his right eye that was obstructing his ability to see correctly! This was not mentioned to him by our local eye doctor. Needless to say, we are glad to be back in the capable hands of Dr. Matsumoto and Pacific Eye Care Optometry!

I have been going to Pacific Eye Care for 3 years now and they have been nothing but pleasant. They always take the time to thoroughly explain all the costs of insurance and never pressure you to do an exam or purchase anything you aren't comfortable with. I had my first "scary" appointment where I got some interesting news and had to be referred to a specialist, but Dr. Arata was very patient with me and answered all my questions. She wasn't whom I normally see but I will definitely make all future appointments with her!

I have been coming to Pacific Eye Care for many, many years now and have always received excellent care from Dr Matsumoto, the optometry section and staff. Dr. Matsumoto literally saved my eyes after years of badly fitted contact lenses, enabling me the use of wearing regular glasses again. He was also able to spot a very serious eye issue with my brotherthat led to the diagnoses of a brain tumor in the occipital lobe, that otherwise would have gone undetected.

Whenever I have an appointment, I am given a friendly greeting by the staff. Everyone is always courteous and pleasant, explaining carefully what each procedure is about. Equipment is always kept spotlessly clean. Dr. Matsumoto has a wonderful manner with his patients and explains carefully what he is doing and what changes, if any, have taken place in my eyes since my last evaluation. He promptly notified my primary care physician when he discovered something that he felt could be a significant health issue. I have been a patient at Pacific Eyecare Center for years and have never been disappointed by the care these wonderful professionals provide. I will continue to be a patient for years to come. I drive all the way from Long Beach to see Dr. Matsumoto, and even though there are optometrists much closer to my home, I wouldn't dream of changing providers.

Standard procedure is to have my eyes checked every year. Last year‘s retinal scan showed some bleeding which doctor you’re more he suggested I make an appointment with my primary care physician to have that looked at. This year the retinal scan showed a lot less blood but taking his suggestion I made another appointment for a follow up with Kaiser.

I, my family and many referrals have been coming to Pacific Eye Care for over 20 years. However, after my last visit I was so very disappointed. I had the feel that I was going thru something akin to a puppy mill. My eyes were checked, I was told that I couldn't have a particular result unless I paid and additional $50. Then when I saw Dr. Arata, all she cared about was selling me glasses. She never once mentioned the HEALTH of my eyes. Then she suggested that I buy FOUR pairs of glasses and said she would get me a technician for the glasses and walked out.

I always enjoy my visits there for my annual eye exam. The staff are all friendly, and Dr. Matsumoto does a great job of ensuring that my vision is being taken care of. For this visit, my vision stayed about the same as last year, so didn't have a need for any new lenses. But because I use computers and other devices heavily professionally, I got a great deal on some special lenses for using when I am working on computing devices that blocks out or minimizes harmful blue light.

Outstanding service (as always). I've gone to this office since I was a kid. Dr. Matsumoto is a terrific eye doctor who I have a lot of confidence in. The office staff is responsive and efficient and I appreciate how they keep up with new advances in technology for testing eye health/vision. I have a typical flat Asian nose and round face that a lot of eyeglass frames won't work on but I can always find something here. Plus, they will work very hard to ensure your glasses fit you properly over the long-term. I find I keep my glasses longer and am more satisfied than when I buy them at a discount place.

Always professional, courteous and friendly. They have a great range of eyewear and we never feel pressured to order glasses from the office. From the second I walked in the door, to the first step through the exit I was treated with the utmost customer service. While the place was buzzing, at no point did I feel like just another number. I was greeted by an extremely professional and friendly receptionist, then handed off to a very intelligent and kind woman who examined my eyes. When I went in to meet with the doctor, he was extremely patient with me. He explained each part of the examination and what sorts of things we were looking for. He then walked me over to the eye-glass station where an eye-glass specialist was extremely kind, patient and helpful! She even picked out a pair which I ended up buying... and it was in my price-range so it wasn't really an up-sell. I have, and will continue to recommend Pacific Eye Care to anyone who needs this type of service. They were extraordinary.

When I first moved to the WLA area from out of state, I discovered Pacific Eye Care. I've lived in the Pasadena area for over 40 years and I travel the distance (and the traffic has gotten increasingly worse!) because everyone is professional, friendly and efficient. They have updated equipment and a very clean office. I especially like Dr. Yumori, but I'm sure all of the doctors there are excellent. Dr. Yumori compares my exams from each year, shows me the pictures of my eyes and explains what he's looking for and if there are any changes. He and the entire staff show personalized care. There are plenty of eye care places closer to me but I continue to drive the distance each year because the doctor, staff and service are so outstanding.

I got my glasses last year and thankfully they were still under their one-year warranty when I came in. My lens shattered for some unknown reason and they took care of them. I came in a half hour earlier and they we're still able to see me. Though they didn't truly explain why it happened or guarantee of it would happen again, they took care of it. Know let's hope that it doesn't happen again bc I wouldn't want to pay for that myself!!

I am so glad I found this practice. The front office staff always greet me with a smile. I rarely have to wait to be seen. The machinery is state of the art. The offices are nice and clean, and last but not least, Dr. Gandhi is awesome. He encourages patients to ask questions as he walks you through detailed photos of your inner eye. I always learn more about my peepers and it is pretty fascinating.

Dr. Morimoto was very nice and informative. I think I received a great new prescription for my eyes and I'm excited about that. I dislike that I felt pressured to commit to a "contact exam" for an additional fee of $60. That sounds like a scam, especially after Dr. Morimoto told me himself my new prescription isn't that much different from the prescription already in the contacts I have now. I should not have to pay to renew a prescription if it's the same for my glasses and contacts. Very turned off by that and the way this whole ridiculous rule was presented to me almost as if I did not have the option to decline the service at the time. I specifically had to ask myself if I could decline. Not happy with that.

I can't thank you enough for fitting me in yesterday. I was in extreme pain and you managed to squeeze me in and treat the problem. My company just changed insurance companies and was I was not sure if my new insurance was accepted, but they told me to come in and they would handle the paperwork. It was so reassuring to me that money/insurance was not there first concern, but helping me was their priority. The staff is extremely nice and comfortable. Thank you so much!!

Pacific Eyecare always provides amazing service both with friendly staff and results from Dr. Yumori that have changed my life for the better in my ability to see. I have an incredibly challenging vision situation and cannot imagine going to another place for service.They also invest in modern technology that detected a retina anomaly so early in development that retina specialists struggled to find it when I went for a simple surgery procedure.
