Went in for LASIK consult and found out I had cataracts. I decided to get the upgraded lens. I’m extremely pleased with the results. I CANNOT recommend lasik surgery enough. It is live changing. I just had my annual visit and still see 20/20. I also had the most amazing experience this visit when I met Julie. She was just excellent. I hope she’s there next year at my next appointment!

Having to wait in a waiting room for an hour and a half okay and then go back and be rushed through my visit that first started with the wrong person was a little bit much. I was so nervous by the time I left cuz of how quickly I was looked at. That was for the diabetic doctor but in previous appointment in December the lady that checked me for my optical she was spot on for my glasses but she makes me nervous in there too of the way she darts around. I know these doctors are good but they make me nervous and I'm not a nervous person. For the cost that my insurance gets billed for this for a 10-minute visit... The nurse from Knoxville gets a five-star rating for me. She was the only one that was so nice and took time with me. The nurse that came in for Dr was not very pleasant she was in a hurry also.

For the second time this year I was checked in then somehow overlooked. When I asked if I had been skipped, I was told no they’re getting you back next. Then when I’m in the back I’m told the techs each thought someone else had my chart. So yes I was skipped. Don’t lie. I’m not an idiot. I come specifically every six months because of my current medication, but surprisingly I didn’t need the field visual exam this time. Hmm was it because I was overlooked and you had to hurry me through? I guess at my next check up after ten minutes I’ll start going to the desk to ask if I’m next. I try to give benefit of the doubt because I know people are being seen by others and for various other reasons, but I too am being seen and felt I didn’t get my complete exam.

We trust Dr Malitz with our family's care. He did radial keratotomy for our daughter and she is very pleased with her outcome and it have been around 6 years ago. Our son had to have eye surgery because a muscle was pulling his eye to the right and disrupting his depth perception. I had to have my tear ducts enlarged and now my husband and I are being watched for cataracts. So you see how important Dr Malitz is to us. We appreciate his caring and his intellect.

There should be someway that those replies get back to the office so that these things do not happen.

I thought the smell would permeate my clothes. If people have allergies, I think it could be a real problem. My original appointment was changed by the office without contacting me until I had to confirm my appointment by text. As soon as an appointment is changed by the office, the patient should be contacted. The appointment was moved to the day of my son's surgery, so I obviously had to reschedule. My appointment was for 8:40. I was taken back by the tech in a reasonable amount of time. After being dilated, I sat in the dilating room 1hr 10min. Why was the schedule so overbooked? Once I was seen it only took 5min with Dr. Kleumper. The explanation from staff was that there are only 2 rooms dilated patients can be examined in. If this is such a bottleneck, maybe more rooms need to be added.

Everything was good and as expected. I usually try to get the best of everything and do not settle. I came to Dr. Malitz expecting that I was going to get the best care available for my eyes. I feel that is what I am getting. The issues my eyes are going through are concerning to me and the doctor. The fact is my eyes are creating this issue and I feel it is being addressed as well as can be. I can still see better now without glasses than I ever thought possible.

I have been very satisfied with my experiences here. My last appointment though, I was addressed & tested quickly before sitting in another waiting area for one hour. I feel like I was forgotten about. Dr Malitz gave the rest of his patients to Dr Al. All the other patients were put in a room. Dr AL came & got me himself and put me in a room to do my follow up from my eye surgery. He's been awesome!
