Dr. Linda Miller is the absolute best. I have been seeing her for many years, and have the utmost confidence in her abilities. The technician who administered my eye tests was very patient and pleasant, as was the optician, Cathy, who helped me find my new glasses. I can't say enough great things about the practice.

I had an appointment with Dr. Miller on 9 May for 11:00. All I needed was a pressure check which lasted maybe 15 minutes. I got to see her at 12:30, that's an hour and a half. This happens all the time, and I really don't like coming there because of the horrible wait time.

I was waiting for a half hour, which is unusual. I needed diagnostic tests and don’t know if they were aware that I was waiting for them. I asked to have my glasses adjusted and don’t know if they were because I am having the same issue with them today. I was pleased once I got in to see my doctor.

I apparently came on the busiest day of the week, and I really wish the customer service person who took my appointment would have told me that ahead of time. I was appalled the number of people who came in and just stood, and the number who were in there when I got there. Since it was so busy, I was there way beyond the normal hour it takes to get my eyes checked. Either way, although everyone was masked, one of the staff came out with their nose almost totally exposed, and obviously the staff did not get the CDC note saying the cloth masks don’t work nearly as well as the KN or N 95 masks. Thankfully, those who helped me were masked correctly, but sitting and waiting among people who might not have been vaccinated was very disconcerting (and a reason I did not get my eyes checked before now during Covid). Either way, please give N95 masks to *everyone* who works there, whether they think they’re immunized or not, and please give more time between appointments. There were more people than me who were worried about being in the main waiting area because they walked outside to wait. Otherwise, please remind the doctors to wash their hands properly, maybe wear rubber gloves while touching our faces? Thank you!

Everyone in this office is amazing. I am a new patient but I felt like I've been a patient here for years. Everyone was very personable and helpful during the entire process. The eye technician and my doctor were both very informative during the tests and exam. While I've had my last pair of glasses for two years or so, I've always felt like my eyes are constantly adjusting and that something was just not quite right. Doctor Theodora took the time to get the perfect balance for each eye and informed me that my current set was completely wrong and that is need special types of lenses to get the effect I need for up close and far away. I was also happy to find out that there are lenses that correct astigmatism and I will be getting those too. It feels like everyone is a big family here and I'm excited to be a patient here.

Another family trip to the eye doctor. I've been coming to the No. Virginia Doctors of Optometry since my worked required me to have safety glasses for the whole team more than 20 years ago. I was so happy with the service, Dr. Doan especially. When my wife and son needed help with eye corrections they both fell in love with Dr. Doan and her through exam and easy manner explanations. This has now become a family outing for the last 10+ years. The staff has been excellent and especially during this COVID-19 every precaution has been above and beyond CDC guide lines.

She has been a wonderful eye doctor for my whole family including when my children were young. She was very supportive of my son when needed to start wearing glasses but did not want to wear them at all. I would not want to go anywhere else for eye care.

Dr. Vroustouris is like "a dog with a bone". She pursued my vision examination until all of her hunches and clinical expertise was satisfied. During my exam, I shared that my mom suffered from glaucoma and she had me sent to one of her other offices to ensure that she got a full picture of my optical nerve And when it looked "different from the typical" she pushed until a variety of test ruled out glaucoma and ruled in a need to be diligent about a small cataract. The facility has state of the art equipment and highly trained and personable technicians and staff. I had a pair of glasses with a broken frame. A screw had broken off inside the frame. The staff member had it repaired before I even completed my preliminary testing. The doctor was efficient, personable and courteous. He answered any questions I had and provided me with an informative evaluation of the condition of my eyesight. All of the required precautions for COVID-19 were taken by this office. I waited outside, as instructed, before I entered. My temperature was taken with a forehead thermometer when I entered and hand sanitizer was provided. All of the staff wore PPE. Nothing about the visit raised safety COVID-19 concerns.

My wife originally went to Dr. Sapho Doan because of her low vision problems. it took one visit and I asked if they were taking more new patients and I became a customer. Dr. takes her time with you and explains everything in common terms so that you can understand it. There is no pushing of any products. She suggests things that might help, but that is it. Always answers every question not matter how crazy they may seem. Instead of just saying, "your pictures of back of eye are fine", she pulls them up and shows you that they are OK and explains where there would be problems in certain areas. I am so glad that I found her and this practice.

Everyone is very exceptional from the time you walk in the front door to the time you walk out. All are polite, courteous and treat you as a friend as opposed to a patient. Dr. Doan has been my husband's and my Dr. for awhile now. No Dr. appointment most of the time is an enjoyable experience, however, when it's time to have an appointment with Dr. Doan you know you are getting a Dr. that cares about you. She considers all the aspects of your visit, not only from the eye point of view but from the overall health of you. She takes her time, explains in detail what is going on with your vision, what to expect if something doesn't seem right to her, etc. She is more than a excellent Dr. of Optometry (OD) she is a great friend. I was very pleased with my visit. Everyone from the receptionist through to the optician was pleasant and skilled. Dr V is exceptionally thorough. Her clinical assistant is very friendly and put me at ease for the visit. The optician found the perfect frames for me although I tried about 50 to see that her choices were perfect. She was both honest and tactful about any unsuitable frames. I commend the new interest in working with the client insurance.

Dr. Snyder did a good job reviewing my partially Corrective Lens prescription and found no real change to retain License. Tested for eye pressure and no problem yet. Dr. Snyder is always thorough. Core problem of Cone deficiency waiting on major Technical breakthrough.

During the time to make appointment, clearly said my son need exam for overnight contact lens and get new pair of contact lens. Our insurance is accepted. When arrived, we were told you could not prescript it because you needed previous prescription and could not use existing lens. No one told us to bring it. Plus we need pay thousands dollars to have lens from manufacturer you use. We payed hundred dollars for nothing. Can not imagine patient has been treated like this.

I typically find eye exams very frustrating because of some difficulty with my vision that I've had my life. But Dr. Kim and the rest of the staff were very patient and understanding with me and let me take as much time as I needed. The office was clean and bright and easily accessible. The optometry tech was very knowledgeable about my insurance plan and helpful in choosing a new frame and options.

Dr Miller saw me for the treatment of an emergency. I am a travel nurse and don't have a regular OD in this area. She saw me as a walk in, listened to my issue (I have a chronic problem with corneal abrasions), made sure that I was comfortable and treated my problem. I will definitely go back again if I need further assistance.

I have not had an eye exam for quite some time, because vision is not included in my insurance. Knowing I had to pay out-of-pocket, I came there thinking I had a clear understanding of what my charges would be. I was told again before my exam what the cost would be for my exam. During the exam I was offered the opportunity for $39 more to use the machine to see behind my eye in lieu of dilation, which I opted to do. However, when I checked out I suddenly had an extra 100+ dollars for a “contact fitting.” I asked the woman at the front desk to explain this, and she was not able to tell me anything. I am confused about what part of my exam this was. Was it when the doctor got a pair of contacts for me and told me to put them in, despite me telling him I already brought my own? After my exam, the doctor told me my contact lens prescription that I had been using was fine, and the contacts I was already using were fine. I am confused about what this “contact lens fitting” actually was. Never did anyone ask me if I wanted a fitting or was I made aware that I needed a fitting or that it would cost an extra 100+ dollars. I feel as though I was unfairly charged. This is not a good way of doing business. It is misleading and wrong. I would not recommend your practice as a result. It is unfortunate, because I felt as though the exam was thorough, and my glasses selection was a positive experience.

I had a great experience! The staff were all very friendly and explained what my plan covered before I even saw the doctor so I knew exactly what to expect. Dr. Kim is the best! We discussed the issues I've been having with my current contact lens and she solved all of my problems! Next came my glasses. The optomitrist was so helpfull and patient with me. Always nervous as I enter the office for my eye checkup, I was immediately put at ease by Carla the technician who performed the tests prior to seeing the good doctor. Dr. Vroustouris never disappoints in her ability to take exceptional care of my eyes. Rounding up with Kathy who reigns me in and helps me select the best eyewear for me.

Dr. Miller is cheerful and concise. She alerted me to an eyelid droop which led to successful surgery this year. Her clinicians are very well suited to the brisk but thorough exam including my retinal scans for signs of diabetic damage. Everyone is careful to explain procedures and listen to all concerns. It is pleasant not to have my eyes dilated, as the office has the newest equipment.

The staff at NVDO are all very kind and helpful. Eye exams prior to seeing the doctor were conducted throughly and with regard to my comfort. Dr. Miller was also very thorough and takes her time to hear any concerns, explain results and discuss recommendations. Once given an updated prescription, I was quickly helped by staff to select glasses and process request. There was very little waiting time in the overall process. This has been my experience with this office on a regular basis! Thank you!

It was easy to make a last minute appointment and the thoroughness of my exam was terrific. I'm a college student who goes to school out of state and they even fit my frames so they can mail the finished glasses directly to my house. Once they arrive, I can just grab and go. In selecting lens, they paid attention to how I use my eyes in different environments - lab, classes, driving, computer and cell phone screens - and made recommendations. They also made the most of my health insurance discounts on prices that were already very reasonable. Thanks, NVDO!

This was the easiest and most pleasant visit to the optometrists in years - even among other NVDO locations. First, they put me on a waiting list for a late notice visit and then five minutes later called me back with an opening. I felt that they went out of their way to be accommodating. Dr. Vroustouris was outstanding - walked me through all of my questions thoroughly and in detail. She was not in a rush. That kind of bed(chair)-side manner is what patients look for in a provider! The woman at the front desk was especially helpful too. She took her time to help me understand what my eye care benefit provided and what I would be responsible for so that there were no surprises when I returned to the front desk for checkout and payment. Avoiding surprises is paramount from my perspective. The providers and staff at the Falls Church NVDO location were outstanding.

Dr. Bhalani is the best, he understands and can fit difficult eyes (cornea transplant with cataract). He is thorough, accurate, discusses options in detail, doesn't try to oversell but provides accurate information so one can make an informed decision. When another doctor there told my wife that was the best they could do he saw her and got her contacts that work and work well. We are both so very happy that we are able to see him.

The beginning of my visit was just fine. I got checked in and the clinical technician was phenomenally nice. I unfortunately cannot remember her name. I understand my appointment was at 5:10pm on a Friday night, but if the doctors do not want to work that long then don't accept appointments that late on a Friday night. The entire visit with the doctor I was seeing felt rushed and uncomfortable. She kept speaking to me so fast and would stop in the middle of a thought and ask me if I follow like I was an idiot even though she was the one that was rushing the conversation. I felt very belittled. I finally got her to slow down and explain to me in greater detail what she was saying to me when I had to ask her on a step by step basis. It got even worse when we finished the eye exam and she took me out to meet with the Optician. I was with the Optician maybe 10-15 minutes and then went to check out. I asked the front desk lady for my prescription that the doctor literally just took. BUT SHE HAD ALREADY LEFT FOR THE DAY AND THEREFORE COUDN'T SIGN THE PRESCRIPTION. What the heck?! I thought it was so rude and a terrible customer service experience. Don't leave while your patient is still there and you are still open for business. So my frustration lies with the doctor and the timing. Please don't say you are open until 6pm and take an appointment at 5:10pm if you cannot professionally service all customers the same. I had to go back the next day and get my prescription which was very inconvenient. Needless to say I will find another eye doctor in the area.

My wife and I both see Dr. Sapho Doan for our eye exams. She takes her time, explains everything and will re-explain it if you don't understand. The lady that does the pictures and tests before you see the doctor is very professional, yet personable, so the process is more like meeting with an old friend than an exam or bunch of tests. There is never any push to buy products from their store, so if you know you are going somewhere else, it's not a problem. My visits over the past couple of years have always been a pleasant experience.

While my wife an I were there we asked Dennis our favorite optician to adjust our glasses and he was so pleasant and replace nose pads and made them feel great. Great experience. Prompt and friendly service with very competent clin tech, opthamalogist and optomotrist. Facility is modern and clean, and has a great selection of frames. This is my third visit over the last five years and it's been consistent each time. I have purchased progressives, bifocal safety glasses and sun glasses and the prescriptions have been spot on each time.

I wish when I checked in for my appointment I wouldn't always be asked for my insurance cards. Shouldn't the question be "Has your insurance changed?" Rather than "May I have your insurance cards?" It would save the customer the hassle AND often those cards have one's SSN and who needs copy after copy of that in the files. How secure are your hard copy and online files????

I used the services of Dr. Linda Miller for my first (and so far only) appointment with NVDO. Dr. Miller is a very friendly person who did a thorough job in reviewing my health history as well as testing me for possible vision problems. The office is located in the Loehman's Plaza shopping center, a very convenient location for central Fairfax County. I discussed with Ramiro, who is on the Optical Team, the possible purchase of a new pair of eyeglasses after the examination. He clearly set out the prices involved and what the advantages or disadvantages would be of the various lens' offered.

Dr. Kim was courteous, quick, efficient and thorough. She was not rushed and took her time to ask plenty of questions about a previous condition even though she had never seen me before. I was quite impressed with her and will ask for her next time.

My appointment was on Tuesday Nov. 15th, 2016 at the Falls Church, VA office. The entire staff from the moment I entered until the time I left was very professional. I was there to see Dr. Doan for my annual check-up. She is a very professional and courteous lady. She explains everything that she is going to do and why. She speaks in layman terms so I can understand fully the entire eye exam. She offers very helpful ideas and solutions and is willing to try various things to make the patient feel at ease and secure about the entire eye exam. You leave there knowing and feeling you have had the best care possible.

My first visit to Northern Virginia Doctors of Optometry was great. The secretary was very pleasant. The nurse answered all of my questions I had at the beginning of my visit. My appointment was with Dr. Vroustouris. She was very thorough with testing my eyesight. I have had PRK surgery but my eyes are not quite 20/20 and I have a slight astigmatism. I appreciated Dr. V's explanation of how my eyes were changing since my surgery and discussed my options in terms of glasses and contacts. I did not feel rushed in my visit (as I have felt when going to other optometrists). I would definitely recommend Dr. Vroustouris and NOVA Doctors of Optometry to my family and friends.

I've been a patient of the NoVA Docs of Optometry for over 8 years now. I have seen several of the providers over the years and have felt comfortable and well-cared for with all of them. I have known Dr. Doan the longest, and would recommend her to everyone and anyone. She is brilliant and lovely to work with. I have complex eye-care needs and have always felt as though my providers were up-to-date on their literature and providing me with the best possible care.

I am more than happy with the service that I received from Northern Virginia Doctors of Optometry and Dr. Doan. A complete exam and everything was explained to me in language that was understandable. All questions were answered completely no matter how simple they may have seemed. Even when the tests show no problems, I was still shown what they were looking for if problems would have existed. You don't feel like number while here, you feel like they want to take care of you and that makes the difference in wanting to come back.

Very nice environment, friendly people. I was very happy with my experience, except that the charge me $60 for contact lenses fitting. I already have contact lenses and I paid for the fitting 2 years ago. If your prescription has changed, you will have to pay for the fitting again. In never had to do that with my other doctor.

Receptionist was evil when I initially asked for appt with Dr. She gave me the wrong time for appt. Then called to ask why I had not come in the time she gave me. She argued that I was to come in at 4:30, but she gave a time of 5:40. I know I have an eye problem, but not hearing. This person needs training for her social skills on the phone. There are plenty of other eye drs I can see without putting up this kind of behavior . I had conveyed this was an emergency for me since I could hardly see. She was not empathic at all.

I highly recommend Northern Virginia Doctors of Optometry - the doctors and staff are terrific and care about their patients. I love Dr. V - she always takes time to make sure I understand what she's checking for or trying to correct. Since I have a rather tricky prescription - I prefer to buy my glasses from them. They have an excellent selection of frames from trendy to traditional.

I have been seeing Dr. Vroustouris for many years. She is an excellent optometrist, thorough and pleasant. I wish she worked more hours at the Falls Church office soI could more quickly schedule appointments, but that's a minor issue. All of the staff is cordial and helpful. The opticians always are quick to resolve any issues and don't nickle/dime you to death.

State of the Art Eye Care. My family has relied on NV Doctors of Optometry for yrs. We appreciate the quality of the care & products they provide. Their exam is amazingly thorough. This year a new machine that takes photos of the eye that eliminates the need for dilating the eyes! They offer every combination of eye glasses & contacts.
