It’s hard enough to go through medical issues so to have medical staff that is helpful is a wonderful thing. This office from the front desk to Dr Uroskie and all the nurses and staff in between could not have made it any better. Dr Uroskie seemed to know what he was doing and was very quick and detailed in his evaluation. The price seems fair and I like that there is an OR on premises. I am very pleased with my entire experience with Dr. Uroski. The breast reconstruction following cancer are excellent. I had a different surgeon who did the original reconstruction and I was very happy with the results, but things shifted and the surgeon was no longer in network with my insurance. I didn't think it was possible to top my previous results, but Dr. Uroski did. The incision marks are tiny and almost invisible just 2 months after surgery and everythign is back in place and looking better than before. Everyone, from the doctor, nurses, administration, insurance coordinator were professional, warm, engaging and supportive.

I just saw Dr. Uroskie yesterday, Jan. 19th to go over everything before my upcoming surgery. He is very knowledgeable and explains things very well. Dr. Uroskie’s nurse was very through in explaining everything that would happen before, during, and after the surgery. Suzanne, the Surgical Coordinator was very helpful in answering my questions when filling out the paperwork before my surgery. I feel nervous, but more at ease after today’s visit with my up coming surgery - Part 1 of 2 surgeries. Dr. Uroskie is an amazing surgeon and is able to put you at ease. He explains everything really well and makes you feel prepared. I couldn’t have had a better surgeon for reconstructing me after bilateral mastectomies. It was a difficult time for me and my husband but he really eased our minds. I have met women that have been through the same surgery that did not go to Dr. Uroskie and they have had multiple problems and still don’t look right. I wouldn’t recommend any other plastic surgeon for any procedure only him. He is amazing!

I had a tummy tuck two weeks ago to repair diastasis recti and an umbilical hernia after two pregnancies, and not 100% satisfied with the results. The procedure Dr. Uroskie walked me through in my pre-op included abdominoplasty where the abdominal muscles are sutured back together, the skin is pulled down tight with a hip to hip incision, and then a completely new belly button is shaped and cut with an external incision and sutures. However, when I went in for my post-op appointment the day after surgery, I was told as they unwrapped my binding that Dr. Uroskie had instead puckered my belly button from the inside with no external sutures. Initially it looked great and I had no complaints. But by the third day post op after I went home, it started to pucker underneath the belly button and crease down towards my incision. I went back to have the drain removed 6 days post-op and a bit of creasing and wrinkling had started to show, but I didn't mention it because I was waiting to see what the surgeon would say and I didn't know if that was normal to expect or not. However, now two and a half weeks out, the skin has continued to settle and sags above, around and below the belly button to the extend that it almost doesn't look like I've had a tummy tuck at all. I opted for a tummy tuck rather than a simple hernia repair (which insurance would have covered and I would have just lived with the extra skin) with the expectation that my skin would be tight and flat. Other than these results, I have had very positive interactions with every single staff member at Norfolk Plastic Surgery, including Dr. Uroskie. When you pay for a tummy tuck, you expect it to be a one and done procedure. I am hoping he can explain why he decided to do a different belly button procedure than what we'd originally discussed, and provide a reasonable solution that fits with the financial and physical inconvenience and discomfort I may experience if another surgery is needed.

He has personally done surgery in the past on me, and he went beyond the extra mile. It's because of Dr. Uroskies medical/surgical skills along with strong ethics, morals and a genuine concern for each patient, that I will and have recommended him to others. Not only is he a skilled surgeon, he has an honest comforting bed side manner. He's a what I call, a "doctor who truly is invested into the best outcome" for each of his patients. I recently had a breast reconstruction due to a ruptured implant I had in 2011. In 2005 I had surgery with another doctor in the area, however he did not remove all the lose silicone that had spilled and was loose in my body. Further the way the other doctor placed the implants made my nipples point down. It was basically a botched job. A dear physician that I knew highly recommended Dr. Uroski, he is absolutely the best plastic surgeon hands down. He was able to remove all the masses that were attached to my breast tissue, which was no easy task. The surgery was a success; he did an amazing job and I could not be happier with the results. After a breast augmentation, I developed capsules around the right implant leading to the removal of both implants. This surgery by another surgeon far far away, left my right breast deformed. Dr Uroski is putting me back together again! I couldn't be more hopeful that I may one day feel "normal" again. I can not tell you how happy I am with the compassion and care I have received under his care!

Dr Bowen is an amazing, compassionate surgeon. I was diagnosed with DCIS(pre-breastcancer) a few months ago and had to have reconstruction and a breast-reduction preformed. Dr. Uroski & staff have been a Godsend to me. I had breast cancer over 20 years ago. I had a partial mastectomy, and underwent rigorous after treatment, chemo & radiation. I suffered from severe lymphedema. Dr. Jennifer Reed and Dr. Uroski did a total mastectomy and reconstruction. After the surgery, my lymphedema was almost alleviated, allowing me to do things I couldn't do for years!! I will be eternally grateful!! I am SO pleased with the astetic outcome and change to my life! THE BEST DOCTORS/STAFF EVER!...

The person at the front desk knows me, I rarely have to wait more than 5 minutes to be called back, and Dr. Colen is very prompt. I am very pleased with this practice.
