I had a great experience visiting Newport Vision Center. Got there on time and waited 1 min and they started a series of eye exams then waited another 2 mins to see the doctor. The doctor explained everything and answered all my questions. I went there to get contacts, easy and simple.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Derienzo and Dr. Meyer’s for than 28 years. I’m 43 now so I’ve known them more than half my life and have never had a bad experience with them or their friendly , professional and downright wonderful staff. I would give 10 stars if I could. The whole team is amazing. To be treated as a child and now as an adult, yet to always feel informed, heard and appreciated, is a true testament to their practice and their ability as doctors to engage their patients across all demographics. Check them out, you’ll be impressed for sure.

Unfriendly staff who try to upsell even before you walk in. Trying to sell a $25 back of the eye scan - which replaces dilation (as they claim dilation makes the doc come close to the patient, and that’s avoidable during the pandemic). Not telling you that this is optional. Also they don’t give you the prescription printed to you unless you ask for it.

Dr. Meyer is so patient and thorough. I know my family is in good hands. The optician is very helpful in picking out and fitting glasses frames. I am very sensitive around my ears and have had problems in the past, but never here. Been a patient for 13 years.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. DeRienzo for almost 30yrs. He fit me for my first pair of glasses when I was a kid. He’s always seen me quickly in the past for an emergency. There’s a reason why I’ve stayed with his practice, even though I moved out of town. He’s kind, works efficiently and is a pleasure to see even if it’s just once a year for my annual exam.

My wife and I were running a little late for back to back appointments because of our 5 month old son. Actually, this is the only negative. I received 7 reminders of the appointment, from text to email to phone call. This must stop in future. I do not like being interrupted 7 times in a few days. I immediately responded. Get those computers synchronized or you will lose me!

I've been a patient of Dr. Meyer and Dr. DiReinzo for many years, and they always provide excellent care. This visit, I was seen by Dr. Tao, and could not be happier. She explained the exact cause of my problem, have me options for treatment, and wrote down details for home care. She is an excellent addition to an already outstanding staff. There is no better source to order lenses for glasses; I wear progressives, and Al is meticulous with alignment and fitting. It makes a big difference in comfort and vision.

I went to do my eye exam and tried to buy a new pair of glasses. Dr. Derienzo and the two ladies at the front desk were awesome, friendly, and very professional. When I tried to pick a frame and buy a new pair of glasses after my eye exam, the guy how was trying to "help" me, made me feel offended and uncomfortbale by saying that "these frames that I picked for you are for ASIANS LOOKS." He had been disrespect while we talking before picking the frame and then said "frames for Asian looks?" What does that even mean? Very rude and unprofessional. So I decided not to buy the frame or the glasses here and left.
