Dr Garbowitz was very kind, caring and patient when examining my 89 year old mother. She had a thorough examine, and was able to pick out great glasses that suited her needs as well as her budget. Office staff are wonderful and very efficient.

Long time patient, I went in for a problem with my eyes. The staff saw my condition and arranged for me to see Dr. Garbowitz within the hour. The doc diagnosed my problem and set me up to get the proper eye drops that morning. Doing MUCH better a few days later.

Long wait even though the office was empty. Staff is rude. Doctor kept pushing unnecessary testing not covered by insurance. Inflated pricing on frames is outrageous. Shouldn’t cost $200 for glasses WITH insurance. Can get 2 pairs at Costco for same amount. Experts on up charging

I have been seeing Dr. Eckstein for many years. She is not only the most knowledgeable and professional doctor I have but the most caring. She takes her time with examinations and is just as patient with questions. Wish there were more physicians like her. Kitara and Tiffany run the office from phone work, billing and scheduling to eyeglass selecting and fitting. And they do it all with effortless efficiency and ready humor. Who says you can't look forward to seeing your doctor?

Dr. Eckstein is very thorough and I have confidence in her to handle my eye care. However, I would appreciate for her staff to notify patients when a service has an additional cost. I agreed to have the retinal image screening but I was then asked 4 questions regarding my contacts which cost $60 that I was completely unaware of.

Dr Eckstein was extremely thorough and very honest. I came in wanting new glasses to tide me over until I get cataract surgery. She could have sold me galsses but instead recommended teh surgery sooner rather than later and said the glasses would be a waste of my money, in so many words. I appreciated that a lot. I will return when and if I need glasses after the surgery. Also, the office is immaculate and everything was very sterile which I appreciated given the fact that the virus is still with us.

The staff is excellent from the person who did the preexam testing to the person who assisted with the eyeglass selection and fitting. Reception staff is helpful and efficient too. Dr. Garbowitz provides stellar care with his soft voice and thorough eye exam. All my eye care was explained in detail. I never felt rushed. Always a pleasant experience at New City Eyes!

Dr. Garbiwitz is a great doctor. He listens, is knowledgeable, definitely spends time with his patients and is very kind. His staff is pleasant and helpful. They have a nice selection of frames, and are always there to make sure you leave happy. Their office is clean, all the instruments are wiped down/ sterilized constantly, and I felt very safe amidst the covid pandemic.

Everyone in the office is so nice and so accommodating. I had concerns with specific lenses and frames and they were able to help me choose the right pair for me. I love that they don’t try to oversell you with expensive frames and add ons. I went during the Covid crisis and everyone was very concerned with the safety of the customers. The office was so clean and they went above and beyond to make sure everyone socially distanced. Every frame you touched was put in a box and taken into a back office and sanitized. I also appreciate that they never keep you waiting long and the on-site optician is also super helpful.

They are ALWAYS running late. The send reminders of appointment, by phone, email, text message- I got it, I'm going to be there, on time. Then when you walk in and sign in no one lets you know they are running late (more than 40 minutes). They placate you by "starting your screening, also well after the appointment time. Try to get you to agree to tests not covered by most insurance plans. (Ours is a good one, covers all tests any where else) Then when the doctor finally sees you he is incredibly distracted and rushes through appointment. Not happy. Will have to find another one in our plan.

I have been treated by both Dr Scott Garbowitz and Dr Natalie Eckstein and have found them to be knowledgeable in their field and very helpful in examining and treating me. My routine eye exam with a $0 copay was billed as a "medical procedure" with a $30 copay because the staff claimed I got something more than the basic dilation covered by EyeMed. I was only given basic dilation - if I was given more than basic dilation, Dr. Garbowitz did not explain it to me beforehand, obtain my informed consent, nor did he have any medical basis for it since I am a healthy woman in her late 20s with no eye problems and have no reason to be given anything more than basic dilation.
