Every time I go in I feel like someone special. The front office is always cheerful and courteous. They are social and you never feel like number. I was having scheduling issues on the website, I called in and spoke with the lady that has the proper English accent. Needless to say I was put on the schedule no problem. When I went in for my appointment I checked in, and immediately was taken to the contraptions that look at overall eye health and pressure and then right into the doctors office for the eye exam, Dr. Davidson has been my doctor here for the last two years and has been in depth and thorough every time. She has been outstanding. I was in and out within a blink of an eye :). Thank you Dr. Davidson and staff. Your speedy professionalism is most appreciated.

The front desk personnel was friendly but not attentive to patient scheduling. I had my initial testing done quickly and then was sent out front. I sat there for 30 minutes while the 3 front desk personnel chatted with each other. After 30 minutes I approached and asked if I had come in at the wrong time and she said oh you should already be in a room. When I got to the room the Optomtrist said she had been waiting for me and apologized for the wait. She said she was filling in and wasn’t aware of the process so she was waiting for the front-end personnel to bring me back.

I have been going to Dr Niederkorn for years. I retired, and kind of got out of going to get my eyes examined, a dumb move since I have diabetes. Whem I decided to get back in the habit of getting my eyes checked, it was an easy decision to return to Dr Niederkorn. His "bedside" manner is excellent; he goes out of his way to explain things to you, and answer any question you may have.

Frankly, this was the best vision appointment I've ever had and I've had glasses since I was 7. The doctor listened, explained anything I had questions about, and went slow enough that I was able to get the best fitting prescription for myself. She was thorough and took the time to listen to my concerns. FANTASTIC JOB! Office staff was a bit more hit and miss, front desk associate was very sweet and kind, had no issues whatsoever with her. But there was an older woman who pointedly mis-gendered me multiple times that should not be in a public facing position if she can't follow what's on someone's chart. Regardless of her personal beliefs, her loudly stating the wrong gender could be unsafe for me, the client, due to strangers with unknown views being present and within ear shot during the blatant misgendering. I think it would be productive to educate staff on the proper protocol on dealing with alternative genders.

I thought that mostly everything went well during my appointment, except for the retinal eye mapping procedure. From reading about people who have taking this test, most people do not have side effects, but my eyes were very irritated for three or four days after the test. I also had discomfort in the back of my eyes, and my vision was affected. I could not focus looking at my phone until I moved the phone away from my eyes. I had about five pictures taken in each eye, which I think was too much bright light for me. I have always been sensitive to bright light.

Dr. Niederkorn spent a lot of time with my 99 year old mom in examining her eyes for glasses. She has dementia and other major medical issues and he was extremely patient with her even when she wasn't making any sense. He has been my eye doctor since 1990 and I have referred many patients to him over the years. He never rushes you and takes his time and listens very carefully to issues you may have related to your eyes. He is kind, knowledgeable, professional, and very has a great personality.

Receptionist initially told me I was not on the schedule until I showed her my confirmation. Then I had to wait an hour before I was seen. I was sweating before I was finally seen. They said my records showed I was given a prescription last visit that I did not receive. The doctor that saw me this visit was great. Very considerate and professional

With my diabetes (and add in my stroke to be classified as a multiple issue patient) I understand the eyes are one of the first indicators of how well I am managing this disease. I have researched specific indicators in-depth so I can ask pertinent questions on my care. I am thrilled with how this whole team is knowledgeable and helpful so I have stayed with them for years. Do they listen to you? Well, in cases where I may not see them until the next annual visit, they can recall specific discussions and concerns I had during the previous visit. Both Dr Lenz and Dr Niederkorn have been above excellent in taking care of me. The friendly, professional assistants and reception team make you feel like you are their only patient in the world and that helps to calm one's nerves before any Dr's visit. They set high standards on COVID prevention and really make you feel safe. I am unable to find the words to express my respect and appreciation for this team of professionals.

I've seen Dr. Niederkorn for a number of years and wouldn't go anywhere else for my eye exam. He is extremely thorough and explains things the way anyone can understand. Dr. Niederkorn is a miracle worker! At another optometrist, a several appointments long contact lens fitting left my preteen with blurry vision, and we were told she either had to get used to it or return her to glasses. Dr. Niederkorn was so thorough in evaluating her to find the issue and found the perfect contact lenses for her on the first try. He was also very clear in communicating with her, making sure she understood the process of the fitting and how to wear and care for her lenses. So happy we saw Dr. Niederkorn! Highly recommend.

She was very pleasant in her manner; she was knowledgeable, thorough and she took the time to explain her diagnosis and patiently took the time to address my questions. I did not feel rushed. This is the first time in a long time where I left a dr's office fully understanding the what and why of what decisions were made. He spends ample time explaining everything and and answering any and all questions. The tech's were very patient in allowing time to learn how to use the contacts. They even provided samples and coupons to get us through a short while. Definitely going to be a repeat client.

The staff is great and the doctor's are great just need to work a little more on scheduling times correctly. I had a 4:00 pm appointment and they called around 3:45 and said he was running behind about 30 mins behind. I was already on my way so I said I would just shop in the area and they said they would call me 10 mins before I needed to be there. 30 mins later (around 4:15), they called me back and said it would be another 30 mins or so, but again, they would call me 10 mins before I needed to be there. At 5 pm they called and said to go ahead and come over, which only took me 5 mins to get there because I was across the street. and then it took another 15 mins to get seen by the doctor. So my 4 o'clock appointment actually became a 5:15 pm appointment but that being said, Dr. Niederkorn does spend quality time with his patients as does the other doctor and he was running late because he worked in 2 other patients that were having eye emergencies. Because of that, I will still say, the average wait time is minimal.

I had some issues with my eye and was very concerned so I called the office in Allen at 4:30 in the afternoon and they told me to come on in to get my eye checked. Sending a BIG thanks to your team! I was not feeling well after surgery (not related to my eye exam) and the staff here including the eye doctor was so helpful and PATIENT with attending to my needs. They took my blood pressure and heart rate (at the request of my cardiologist) to determine my next course of action regarding my heart palpitations. I would highly recommend this practice to my friends and family. Keep up the great work. Oh...and my eye exam was wonderful. Dr. Niederkorn took sufficient time to explain eye health and best practices on contact wear/usage. Thank you!!

I found Dr. Niederkorn last year, and was very pleased. He does not miss a single detail, great communicator, friendly and professional in perfect balance. My husband is now his patient as well. I love Vision Works, great pricing for every budget. In particular, I love Joann, talk about listening to what you want in a pair of glasses, Joann listens and knows the stock so well you don't waste time finding the right pair. Joann is patient, kind, lovely woman with professionalism that isn't common any more.

Dr. Niederkorn and Dr. Lens are great doctors. Both of them provide excellent (for my eyes only this level is expected) level or care. I never left the office with a doubt or a question. That was so great, that they found a slot time to squeeze my during my emergency - piece of metal in my eye - and provide requirement treatment. It is not walk-in clinic, but doctors do their best to help their patients.

Dr. Niederkorn and his staff are the most genuine I have ever known. I have a fairly unique situation with regard to my vision, and the doctor takes his time explaining my options, and answers all my questions. I also like that he will tell me what he would do if he were in the same situation. I absolutely feel like he wants the best for my family and I when it comes to our vision health.

The staff is always friendly and prompt here. They get you in quickly, do a thorough exam, and walk you through any changes since your last visit. Making appointments has always been easy as well. I’d recommend them to anyone looking for an eye doctor in the area.
