Dr. Whenry and her staff are wonderful! The office is beautiful, clean, and bright. Dr. Whenry seems to genuinely care about her patients. I was able to get a same day apparently for a tooth extraction and it went so smoothly. Better than I could have asked for! I cannot recommend Dr. Whenry and her staff enough.

A friend had recommended Dr. Whenry some time ago. But before I had a chance to schedule a routine exam, I experienced a dental emergency, wondering if I could be seen on such short notice, especially given that I was not a regular patient. I called first thing in the morning and they had me scheduled for an hour later. I can't say enough about the office, the staff (they answered right away, by the way — no automated message), and the level of care I received. I wasn't a patient at the time I called under desperate circumstances — but I am now!

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with smiles and a wonderful atmosphere. All the staff were professional and courteous. Honestly going to the dentist is never fun, but I will say that since I have to see Dr. Whenry I have felt better and calmer going there. It isn't a walk in the park, but she makes it a lot easier and always ask if I am okay and in any pain. She is very good at dumbing it down for me when I don't understand something. She helped me get my confidence in smiling with my teeth again and I is helping me get my dental health in the right direction. Would recommend to anyone who felt uneasy or afraid of going to the dentist.

Dr. Whenry's practice is the definition of professional. Everyone on her staff is kind, compassionate, and does their job extremely well. Went to work on Thursday and was sharing about how compassionate my dentist was during my appointment. I still get tears when I remember my anniversary with my husband who died after we were together only fifteen years. My “would be’ 31st anniversary coincided with my losing a crown and needing it put back on. Lauren took the time to notice that I wasn’t my usual over the top happy self even though I tried. We talked and she didn’t rush. She dried my tears and I left that day with my crown replaced feeling better than I had the whole day. And I even laughed a lot with her team. A nurse practitioner was in the dialysis clinic where I work when I was telling about my experience at the dentist. She said I am looking for a dentist and that’s the kind I need. Being a nurse myself I recognize true caring and compassion. Lauren is genuine. Her desire to give you a healthy mouth is sincere too. Talented and kind.

Dr. Whenry has always been gracious, accurate, and able to understand. Ginger, the hygienist was friendly and easy to work with. I hope Dr. Whenry can hold on to her. Each time I come, every 6 months there's a new hygienist. Gina, the dental plan present should have totals ready. It's a little confusing to see all the break downs of each individual step. At the check out time people just want the bottom line totals for a full procedure; a total bridge cost, total implant cost, total crown cost. I think they are trying to soften the blow of the cost they are making it more confusing.

Very impressive approach to a dental treatment program. Thorough in dental condition evaluation and in the plan derived from that. The novel approach of a program with subsequent 20% reductions in necessary work is an inducement to enrolling in the program at a modest cost with the same modest cost year after year. Based on my program, I wlll achieve a greater than eight-hundred dollar cost savings in my first year. The program is beneficially designed to offer cost savings to the patient, while building a strong relationship between patient (Shel) and dentist (Dr. Lauren Whenry). A good win-win scenario! I love Dr. Whenry. I found her through a Tulsa Wedding Show presentation in 2010 for a teeth whitening treatment an fell in love with her and her office. I have been a patient ever since. My husband is also patient. The staff is always kind and friendly and you will never see Dr. Whenry without a smile. She will help you through any dental situation. What I loved most is when my husband has an issue that she wasn't able to deal with she was didn't try to handle the situation, she made a referral to someone that could. She cares about the people that she takes care of, and that matters!

As with most people, I'd rather get a beating than go to a dentist. I've certainly had my fair share of bad dentistry experiences, like the time my butt was a foot off the chair while my tooth was being pulled by a woman who was looking to the hallway talking about her ferret... who got mad at me when I had some pain with my new bridge. MAD... at ME! Dr. Whenry and her staff are SO pleasant, caring, attentive, and professional, I actually look forward to going there, no matter what the reason. There are some things in life you can't recommend enough to someone else; this is one of those things.

The dentist is always running late. I have waited over an hour before when they are behind. She does great work but her services are expensive. The lady nakia who answers the phone is very annoying by how slow she is. Everything is a drawn out process with her rather than short and simple. Dental work is good.

This was my first visit to Dr. Whenry's office. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel relaxed and at ease. They were very professional and informative, throughout the visit. Dr. Whenry was very thorough in explaining to me her plan of action to restore and maintain my teeth. All in all, I left her office feeling confident that my dental issues would soon become much less of an issue and with a very good first impression of these people and this dental practice. First impression is usually the right one to follow!

It is hard to leave a positive review of a dentist because I have never met anyone that enjoys going to the dentist, teeth cleaning and oral procedures can be painful and generally uncomfortable causing lots of people to leave negative reviews for the people who performed them. I can not imagine trying to please patients all with different needs and wants while keeping a smile on my face. Dr. Whenry’s team cares about the whole body and how your overall health affects your oral health they are available and willing to help patients every step of the way. Dr. Whenry is thorough and caring. She listens to concerns, both financial and physical and works with her patients to formulate a care plan that is accessible, patience is a must on the track to dental health and Dr Whenry’s team is there to help you. Her staff is kind and accessible, they are available to help with all sorts of concerns! On my last visit her administrative personnel helped me find a way to fix/replace my malfunctioning electric toothbrush even though it’s defect was no fault of theirs. I would recommend Dr. Whenry’s office to anyone looking for a genuine caring professional who takes pride in her office and work team. I will never see another dentist in Tulsa. The Whenry team is beyond amazing.

Via my own lack of attention to detail, I had the date wrong by a week on an MRI I was scheduled to get, and seeing as I needed to see Dr. Whenry due to some dental issues I was having, and since I was right across the street, they told me to come on over and they'd fit me in and take a look. As is par for the(my)course, they administered a sedative to make sure I didn't have a panic attack with sharp objects in my mouth. After a more thourough exam, the problem was worse than originally believed. They apologized profusely because there just wasn't enough time in the day left to complete that amount of work in between patients. As the (I believe) pre-molar was basically splitting in 2 and obviously causing me pain that was so bad I sometimes didn't eat, they prescribed me a small but reasonable amount of an opioid analgesic to help me through to my next appointment. (Before I began to see Dr. Whenry, I flat-out had Dentists refuse to give me anything more than some extra gauze pads so I didn't get blood all over myself as I drove myself home after a wisdom teeth removal). In current times when the FDA/CDC/DEA/ODMP are "publishing guidelines" OTC pain relivers and ice are the first line treatment in acute pain situations, it is very comforting that Dr. Whenry isn't afraid to make sure her patients are as comfortable as possible when the situation calls for it. When I'm in the chair being treated by her, I feel her #1 focus is my comfort and she will do procedures in a way that makes it more difficult for her to perform because it causes me less distress. And I can't end this review without mentioning the conversations she and her assistant have while they're working on me. They come up with such random and off-the-wall topics that it becomes very hard not to laugh as I forget I'm at the Dentist. In closing. my first encounter with this office required 7 teeth pulled with 3 abcesses. And I still returned. I never felt like a patient; I felt like a family member.

Dr. Whenry is the best dentist I've been to. She fixed mistakes made by previous dentists including the removal of excess cement used to adhere a crown that caused flossing to be impossible between some of my teeth. Her work is perfect. She's a very caring person!

When I first became your patient, I was impressed by the level of professionalism and service given to me. Today, I don't feel as impressed. I understand that insurance can make billing somewhat complex. All I really wanted was a call back from the Doctor so that she understood what my issue was. At my appointment last week, I had the 3rd hygienist in 3 trips. The person last week did not know where the tools and supplies were to complete her tasks, and was not prepared to clean my teeth. She told me she was new and her first time in the building. In spite of this, she did a stellar job in spite of no water or suction when it came time for those things. Thank you.

I didn't see a dentist for over 10 years before I started seeing Dr. Whenry due to the often rushed and painful cleanings, as well as the staff who never seemed to enjoy they're jobs at my previous dentist office. Although I am happy with the care provided, I was VERY unhappy with the entire billing process. I was told my balance due would be $199...this was done over MULTIPLE emails. I specifically stated what I wanted done to the children and specifically said I didn't want any "billing surprises" like my last dentist constantly did. I asked for EVERYTHING to be included. On the day of the visit I was stuck with an additional bill for $71 for stuff that should have been included with the original cost estimate but was not. Also, I find it absurd that a cleaning and exam are not all inclusive in one fee together. No one goes to the doctor to get their teeth cleaned without getting an exam. Seems like more unnecessary work for the girls who have to deal with the billing and another way to easily anger patients who automatically assume these items are billed together. All billing issues aside, the dentist was good with the kids and did a good job.

I always feel welcome and cared for while at the dentist...beyond just care for my teeth! I'm always given options for my dental care and enhancement, but never treated differently if I don't opt for something. Great care, great atmosphere, great service!

Dr. Whenry is a knowledgeable, confident dentist with a fantastic bedside manner and a wonderful sense of humor. She answered all my questions directly, honestly. and thoroughly, handled my terrible Dad jokes like a pro, and had a curtsy so superb it'd make Cersei Lannister proud. Shannon, who did my cleaning, was equally adept at her job and equally as affable, with a steady hand, comforting manner, and easy smile. Both women showed legitimate concern for my dental anxiety, never once rolling their eyes at the trembling puddle of male huddled in the chair. They even pretended not to notice when I peed myself! Additionally, the staff fully informed me of all costs involved for the visit BEFORE they were incurred. Imagine that. The experience was as pleasurable as several shots in the mouth can be and I'm happy to say I've found my forever-dentist.
